Take it from an Award winning Chef, I’ve been all over the world and never had crab cakes as massive as these!!!! Wow!!!! Our First time Here, We came in on a Friends Recommendation and Almost never go on friends’ recommendations because they’re almost always wrong but let me tell you, There’s no place like Woody’s!!!! Our server Maddie was out of this world, she was so Helpful making recommendations about everything we were curious about trying, We couldn’t have been more fortunate to have such an all-star, We’ve owned restaurants and a Bed and Breakfast, And I can tell you anyone would be blessed beyond words to have a Maddie Working for them, She really handled the floor and treated all your guests like gold, We’ll be sure to ask for Her again and she really made the experience exceptional, I would promote Her and give Her every opportunity towards management and a rewarding future as you could because she was unbelievable and Us two guys from Pennsylvania were so fortunate to have Had Her as Our server Now onto the crab cakes They’re Huge!!!! And not just that, they’re succulent, super tender, and really set the bar for what crab cakes should and could be but almost never are so if you’re ever talking to someone and they try telling you you’ve got to go try some place for crab cakes, tell them they shouldn’t even talk to you about crab cakes unless they’ve had Woodys because they don’t know crab cakes unless they’ve had these, They are worth every penny, Splirge and buy the two, They’re really a bargain and comparable to what you pay for crab cakes with all filler anywhere else, these have literally none!!!! I can’t imagine a better presentation, We got there they were full, and let me tell you by the time we left there was a line out the door in the freezing cold and now I know why, with service like Maddie and Food Like Woody’s it doesn’t get any better than this or a more perfect combination anywhere else, You’ve got to make this very special place a Tradition, I know we will and just did from Here on Out, I can’t imagine a trip back from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where we wouldn’t be coming in Looking forward to this, because it was really Spectacular!!!! -Chef Dan

Google
Great food.she crab soup was the best..crab cake dinner was amazing.the drinks were also amazing. I think the prices were great for the quality of food we had. The entire staff were also excellent. I will definitely go back

Google
This has become our regular must go when we visit the beach and we’ve gotten my parents hooked, too. Truly the best crabcakes at the best price around. We love that the patio is dog friendly and the welcoming vibe when we go here.

Google
Crab Monster was HUGE and amazing!! Definitely recommend! Black and blue Shrimp was delicious. Pit beef was good but needed some flavor. Staff was awesome and pay the $8 and buy them a round for after work!

Started off with no server coming to our table for 10 minutes so I asked the hostess to find our waitress. Megan swooped in with a smile and a genuine apology, completely disarmed us and set the tone back to a happy lunch experience. Of course everyone knows Woody’s crabcakes are awesome and I wanted to try something different. Ordered the gazpacho which was refreshing and tasty (would have liked some heat but the amount of diced veggies was a welcome treat.) Also got the crabby tots. OMG they were to die for. So rich and delectable. Margaritas not to shabby. What a gem in Dewey

Google
Your typical beach restaurant offering a variety of things on the menu. Heard it was a good place for Crab cakes which I ended up getting and I would say they were definitely tasty!! Probably one of the better restaurants food wise in the area.

Sec Briselli

Google
We had read the reviews and they are true! The crab cakes are excellent with almost zero filler. Just enough to hold it together. The atmosphere is like a local bar/restaurant. Homey and not taking itself too seriously.

Leah Vulpitta

Google
One of my husband and my favorite spots! They 100% have the best crab cake… straight lump crab meat with little filler. We visit DE once a year for our anniversary & this is always on our list of must go places. My husband loves the crabby tots & I always get the raspberry walnut salad with a crab cake on top. We have been ordering the take and bake crab cakes the last few years to take back to NC for our family, who look forward to them every year! Staff is always pleasant and the atmosphere is great! Thanks for the awesome consistency over the last 7 years!

Yelp
This is our third time to Woody's. The first two times outstanding, with some issues tonight. Tonight, we mixed things up a bit. Instead of just crab cakes, I had the gaspacho soup with crab meat lumped on top and a wedge salad with salmon. The soup was cool and crisp, with lots of tomato bits, green pepper and onion and a healthy portion of crab meat on top. ($9.00). Really delicious and filling. The wedge salad was a very large serving of romaine lettuce (more in the shape of a boat than a wedge) with blue cheese crumbles, onions and bacon. Came with a buttermilk dressing on the side. With the 4-ounce salmon, the wedge was $19.50. I love a good wedge. Although the salad was good, I thought the salmon was dry and, frankly, disappointing. My partner got the yin/yang soup bowl. It's half Maryland crab soup and half cream of crab. We each tasted both and agreed that the Maryland crab side was far superior to the creamy one. Of course, that's personal preference, but oh my goodness, that was excellent Maryland crab soup. Some of the best I've ever had. The Yin/Yang bowl is $12, which is the same price as a bowl of each of the individual soups. So, if you want to try both, this is the way to do it. My partner decided to get the crabcake sandwich (without a bun) and potato chips ($26). We found the crab in the sandwich to be dry and the chips to lack flavor. For the first time in our 3 visits, my partner left some of the crabcake uneaten because it was dry. And left most of the chips. And this person love chips with old bay seasoning. These chips lacked salt, old bay or any seasoning. When I saw that they weren't finishing the crab cake, I swooped in, but also found it to be really dry and with diminished flavor. I slathered the crab in cocktail sauce (which I've never done before), because it needed something. We also tried a Woody's Bloody Mary with crab meat. That was outstanding. The drink was good and the sweet crabmeat was delicious. There was a lot of crabmeat in the drink. ($15). Sadly, if I were rating our previous visits I would have given 5 stars. But this visit, with the crab in the crab soup and Bloody Mary delicious and the crab in the crab cake (the central dish) dry and disappointing, as well as the dry salmon, I give this visit a 4 overall. And I think I'm being kind. The service was excellent. Another thing that impresses me about Woody's is how hard the workers work, yet they are pleasant and efficient. Woody's has excellent service. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. They took my cell number and 32 minutes later I got a text and we had a table. The place can get pretty loud, both from the other patrons and from street noises. While we were there, at least three separate emergency vehicle trips occurred. It's a really loud place if you are looking for conversation you might want to go elsewhere.

Yelp
I thought my whole writing was my review? I wanted to be sure if YELP clients and others had not eaten here they owe themselves a treat of the best crab cakes on the mid Atlantic. The outdoor seating is a treat as well as the rest of the menu. Tell Woody Big Ron said hello we used to work at an establishment in Rehoboth 30+ years ago

Yelp
Went here specifically to test the "Best Crabcake" in Delaware. We haven't gone to other restaurants in DE, but I am VERY particular and picky on where I will eat or try Crabcakes. Giving 4 stars generously for the Crabcake flavor alone. This is a VERY casual bar/beach dive bar. I also got a little creeped out when I unwrapped my utensils from the napkin to discover stuck food particle on the fork. We also did not ask before ordering what the Market Price for the crabcake was, so the pricey bill was ridiculous and did not match the portion size of the meal platter served. Crabcake was 6 ounces (diameter size of a small flattened tennis ball) and the platter gives you choice of 2 sides. I chose Caesar salad and French fries. Crabcake was delicious, little to no filler, just a delicious binder (don't ruin it with tartar sauce or cocktail sauce, these are delicious on their own!!). Caesar salad was delicious but SMALL, especially when that is THE cheapest thing in the Kitchen. Fries tasted and looked like they came from a frozen bag tossed into a fryer, no fresh cut Fries here and needed ketchup, so not the quality I was hoping for to bring us back. Service was good. We were checked on at appropriate times. We sat in the enclosed outdoor patio, which was comfortable, and they do have tvs for viewing sports.

Yelp
Came here on a recommendation from a friend. My companion had the buffalo chicken sandwich, very tasty! I had the tuna entree and imo it was way too sweet, I couldn't finish it. The quality of everything was top notch and the service was friendly. The waitress recommended their crab cake and it looked very good. I'd personally give this place another try and I recommend you do too.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a quick bite on the go. Parking was horrible. But there is metered parking. We lucked up and found something. Very relaxed and cozy environment. We were greeted and seated quickly. Most of the staff appeared young and had great energy. The food was just ok. I personally think the crab cakes are overrated. Yes, they were lump and filling but lacked flavor. The rest of the food tasted like it was probably frozen at one point or made earlier that day. Our Bloody Mary was suppose to have crab meat and old bay; I didn't see or taste either. The other drink was advertised as a slushy (I believe) but it was just a regular juicy kind of cocktail. I personally wouldn't come back here but if the crowd chose it, I would go. It wasn't horrible but I've had much better food. It's given Ruby Tuesday vibes as far as food quality and taste.
google avatar

Elyse S.

Yelp
Great large lump crab cake. It was $26 each plus $2 extra for fries or tater tots. The Caesar salad was very tasty but it had lots of dressing. I will definitely come back. Really great quality

Yelp
Woody's never disappoints. They have the best crab cake EVER' service was great, atmosphere fun, food wonderful! Side salad was fresh. I eat crab cakes at other places and am always disappointed. I tell my husband, it's not Woody's it's the first place we stop when we get in. My husband got the monster and loved it . My husband also got the Woody's Bloody Mary and it was fantastic. He shared a little of the lump crab with me, delicious. We will be back before our week is up.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday afternoon in December and it was pretty crowded for off-season but we were seated right away. We decided to share the lobster pretzel and the famous crab cake sandwich. The pretzel wasn't what I expected but tasted good and I would order it again. The crab cake was pretty small in my opinion but it was lump crab and tasted good. The chips were well seasoned and had a really nice crunch. We ordered the chicken tenders for our daughter and she enjoyed them and I ate some too because I was still hungry. The Apple sauce definitely appears homemade and isn't puréed, but our daughter still had some despite texture differences which some would get upset about. All in all, a great lunch and quick service. The male server was fine but not very personable or attentive. The other staff we interacted with were super friendly!!

Yelp
Best crab cake ever! You are crazy if you don't have try these! The Mac and cheese was heavenly! We ate at the bar and it was so much fun! Everyone was friendly and service was great! It gets pretty crowded but don't worry about it. You will meet a lot of friendly people and eat a lot of great food!
google avatar

Yelp
The best crab cakes I've ever had! I don't even particularly like crab but after looking at photos I had to get some. The Caesar and fries paired super well with my crab cake. My partner enjoyed either the Dewey dunker or French dip and the tater tots were also great. My sister always orders soup and enjoyed the Maryland crab/New England crab chowder combo. We all devoured the crab pretzel and shrimp and will definitely be back.
google avatar

Nicolas L.

Yelp
I recently visited Woody's with friends for dinner and had the Crab Pretzel and Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Sandwich. The pretzel was soft, savory, and covered in a super-rich and gooey melted cheese with meaty tender crab. The sandwich consisted of a soft bun filled with tender lump crab meat, shredded lettuce and juicy tomato. Overall, this was a delicious meal.

Yelp
This had to be a stop on our recent trip as it's been a place my husband has been wanting to try since he heard they have won for the best Crabcake in Delaware. We came in a party of 8 for an early dinner and were seated right away in a comfy corner big booth inside (as it was pretty hot out). Our waitress was very friendly and provided wonderful service. We had appetizers of shrimp and crabby pretzel. The shrimp were the best we have had on our trip- very fresh, cleaned well, and seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend! The crabby pretzel was also good but I prefer the dip on the side as it made the pretzel a little soggy. Soups both MD style and creamy one were good as well, not the best we have had but certainly worth ordering. Onto the real reason or our mission- the crab cakes. We ordered two different platters and while not the main event, the Caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese were very good. Crab cakes were chock full of crab and had good flavor. However- I don't know I would say they were the best I've had in the DE/MD area. They were good no doubt! Crushes were fresh and hit the spot! Would we come back to Woody's when in the area again? Absolutely, they get busy so I recommend getting there early.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Woody's is a name synonymous with seafood to some of us, but this Woody's, unrelated to the crab house in Northeast MD, is a different kettle of, um crab. My companion had the Crabcakes, which was, yes, very simply a cake of jumbo lump Maryland crabmeat. Ooh ah, but for me, it was just missing something. For her, it was perfectly fine. I had the Crab BLT Tacos and I have to admit I'd never conjure up a BLT with crabmeat, but it was delicious if not a tad light on the crab. Both dishes were very good, but the off season heating arrangement of very high powered radiant heaters made for a very uncomfortable hour. A bevy of very pleasant and helpful staff accommodated our discomfort however. All in all a pretty good experience.
google avatar

Timothy O.

Yelp
Food and location were nice. Enjoyed a lobster roll. Service was great and enjoyed our dinner.
google avatar

Marcella A.

Yelp
The waitress was really nice and understandable. We were able to sit inside and save us from the heat. My husband and I decided to order the crab dip, which was really good, but they were really skimpy on the vegetables and the bread . We also waited an hour to receive our food, which was a tad bit annoying. We understood that it was Labor Day and really busy, but we saw other tables getting food way before us. Overall, the food was okay , I didn't really see what the hype was all about. All I saw was that theirs crab cakes were really famous.
google avatar

Joseph G.

Yelp
Man does this place get packed, and once we sat down and ordered our food we understood why. They have some pretty tasty crab cakes ! If you come here you have to try them. I ordered the lobster roll which was also pretty good. Overall it was some good food and a fun experience.

Matty P.

Yelp
The crab cake is easily the best I've ever had, and I'm a Baltimoron who is extremely picky and have had them all. Huge lumps with a minuscule amount of filler to attempt to hold it together. My husband has tried a number of sandwiches and all have been excellent. MD crab soup is hearty. His seared tuna sandwich was outstanding. Fries are great. Kids menu has multiple choices. Lots of TVs for the sports fans, but they're not intrusive if you don't want them to be. Expansive menu for everyone. Attentive service. Ambiance is basic but clean. Reasonable prices. No happy hour. Appears to be dog friendly outside in the heated tented area. Our new favorite place in DB/RB. (Not affiliated with the Woody's in Northeast MD). If you are going in-season, go early. Or do carry out, across the street. But do not miss this place, especially if you love crab cakes.

Yelp
We stayed at a nearby hotel last spring and Woody's was open when most places were still closed. We decided to eat there this summer. Crab cake sandwich had a large ball of crab, falling apart bec not much filler which is great for me. With chips and a tiny pickle spear (so I took my son's who didn't want his). $23 For $10 more, we got the monster sandwich which had a crab cake (bit smaller than on the crab cake sandwich), with fried soft shell crab (crunchy good). $33 Pit beef was ok for our non-seafood eater and meat is cooked as preferred. Black and bleu shrimp had only 3 pcs of shrimp and the bleu cheese was mild so a bit disappointing. Some toppings are included. Other toppings or sides for addtl $ which is shown on the menu. By the way, menu a bit sticky and worn. A bit dark indoors, and not so lively. Would have preferred to be outdoors if it wasn't so hot that day. Our server was friendly but others seemed more serious.
google avatar

Patrick D.

Yelp
The crab cake was lump crab with very little breading. A little pricy but worth it. The service was good. The waiter was in point. The ambience is beach casual.
google avatar

Alisa W.

Yelp
I will be thinking about this crab dip for a long time. Maybe until I can get back to the beach next summer. The crock was full of a not overly mayonnaise-y dip and had tons of chunks of crab. It was topped with a number of different shredded cheeses. A little unique for us was the accompanying carrots and celery in addition to crackers and warm crusty mini loaf of bread. I had no idea crab dip paired so well with carrots. I almost felt like I was eating something healthy instead of the gooey, cheese and crab-filled dish in front of me. We sat at the bar. Busy but friendly bartender in a standard casual neighborhood bar atmosphere. The woman next to me got one of their famous crab cakes so there is a picture of that beautiful plate included. She raved. There was a big deck/porch with well-shaded tables out front-not a great view, but well-attended. A great stop on the awesome Dewey Beach strip filled with fun clubs, bars/restaurants, and outstanding food. Stay and get the crab cakes, so I hear. Definitely order the crab dip.

Yelp
Finally got to try Woodys!!! This sandwich I got it called the monster...yes it's a crabcake sandwich with a soft shell crab. The thing was enormous and delicious. I can definitely see why people say they have the best crab cakes around. Definitely worth every penny. The place is also very inexpensive. Solid 9/10. Just wish it was easier to find parking
google avatar

Shannah H.

Yelp
Supposedly they have the best crab cake in Delaware. We tried said crab cake and ... it was amazing. As it was also the only crab cake we had while in Delaware, we would cast a "best of" vote for it, too. Set of here is excellent and if I had all of the do-overs in the world at my disposal I would use one in order to have another crab cake meal here.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
Probably easier to find on your second visit, but easily worth it. Went on recommendation from a "local" for best Crab Cake. Didn't disappoint. There may be comparable around, but I doubt if any are better. Good service, nice vibe, fun crowd, lively. Prices are prices, you're at the Beach.
google avatar

Jao S.

Yelp
Great service everytime I've been here and the Yin and Yang Cream of Crab and Maryland Crab soup was delicious but the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake really are the best in the area and definitely are worth coming here to get them! Many options for anyone who doesn't want seafood as well
google avatar

Regina D.

Yelp
It's was a great experience! Come as you are, it's very laid back. The food was fresh and delicious. They cook their turkey breast fresh, so good! Check them out and tell Woody Regina and Kevin sent you!
google avatar

Whitney D.

Yelp
Woodys is a staple in Dewey! I have been coming down to Dewey Beach since I was younger. And this bar we deff come to a lot. Its a sports bar/ beach feel to it. It also has a great outdoor seating area. Bartenders are very friendly here and they make awesome drinks too. If you are in Dewey its a must to check this place out.
google avatar

Anastasia R.

Yelp
A great stop for lunch! The prices are reasonable and the crab cake was all crab (no fillers). I may have went too hard with all carbs as my sides but I have no complaints. The crab cake could have used just a tad more seasoning for me but I still ate it all. The servers were all welcoming as we walked in and attended to the lunch crowd with ease. I also appreciated the option to sit outside with covering. I didn't go to the bathroom here because my husband reported that the men's bathroom was dirty so I didn't trust that the women's bathroom would be any different.
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
High anticipation ended up in a bit disappointment. I know the best crab cake in the world is a fun banner but it was not worth the $47. The crab cake was the best dish on the table. I loved how they are not super battered, instead there were some ricotta cheese in the mix. The mussel was definitely frozen; it came out cold, tough and very salty- the most disappointing dish as why they even serve it to the table. The crab dip was just alright too unfortunately. It's a low 3. Sorry
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Woodys is a classic, local Dewey beach institution, known for having some of THE best crab cakes around! The first time I tried Woodys I was blown away by their lack of filler and large lump crab meat used in their cakes, EVERY TIME. Served with the bun on the side (if you order the sandwich), as well as all of the fixings (lettuce, tomato, tartar sauce, etc.) + fresh chips, Woodys crab cakes are my favorite by far. It's so simple yet so damn good! Whenever I'm in the mood for a fresh crab cake, I go to Woodys! (Pictured is the crabby pretzel, a soft pretzel stuffed with their crab dip) All of their other items on their menu are amazing as well, especially their French dip!
google avatar

Lovely A.

Yelp
Ehh, food was OK. I was not impressed! I ordered their famous crab cake and it was mediocre at best. It did not have filler which was great, other than that, nothing to brag about. My son had their Jebster meal, he enjoyed it. I ordered a drink that took forever to come from the bar. Service was exactly what I expected from an upscale dive bar.
google avatar

Shilisa D.

Yelp
Service was prompt and the food came out pretty fast. The house chips were delicious and flavorful. The crab cake was lump meat but lacked flavor. The venue is small and quaint, seating is compact.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Food was great. But just watched them deny to serve a veteran with a service animal at the bar. The man tried to explain that it was a service animal but the extremely rude bar person continued to tell him he could sit on the patio with his dog. I even showed him the Delaware law regarding Service ANIMALS, this not an option and this establishment should be fined for not complying. Often times these Service Animals are helping people with emotional and psychological issues that could be triggered by unlawful actions by disreputable establishments like this. No matter how above the law an establishment believes that they are (even if supported by locals), the ADA is the law period. Don't support these places, so they will go away. For the record, the owner was called and clarified that individuals with Service Animals were only allowed on the patio.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Heard about the crab cakes so we had to check it out. We ordered the crabby tots and a crab cake sandwich. Both were delicious. Also subbed the chips for Mac and cheese which was also delicious. Definitely a Dewey staple. Check it out if you get a chance!

Yelp
Anytime I'm in Dewey I have to stop and get a Woody's crab cake. I normally go with the sandwich, but was feeling a lighter meal. I got the ceasar salad with a crabcake and it was AMAZING. Woody's easily has my favorite crab cake.

Melvin O.

Yelp
Best crab cakes. Excellent service Comparable prices Enjoyed view of community as we ate outside

Marilyn S.

Yelp
We have been going here for years and always tell our friends that this place has the best crabcakes in the Eastern Shore. Even better than the CrabCake Factory . We went on the 24th of June. We ordered the crab cakes and they seemed like they were undercooked. So we returned them ( service is still great by the way) They brought back new crab cakes and there was so much mayo and filler. I did not see any evidence of lump crab meat in it. It was pathetic and we are very sad that we won't be going there any longer for crab cakes. They must have hired a new chef/cook and used a new recipe. RIP Woodys Crab Cakes

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by people that have been to this area before. Without hesitation we came here for a meal as a group. Upon arrival you could tell this is the place to be. It was packed with customers both inside and out. We thought we might have a bit of a wait, but we were led to a table as soon as we walked up to the podium. Once inside we had menus in hand and were looking them over. Our server came over and took our drink orders, gave us some time to look over the menu so that by the time he came back we would be able to place our order. I opted for The Classic BLT and an order of their Loaded Tater Tots. While that was in my colleagues and I chatted a bit and our server stopped in every so often to check on us if we needed anything. Then it was time for our food to arrive. The BLT looked good at first sight, but when I bit into it the bacon could have been cooked a little more for my liking. I'm one that likes my bacon crispy, almost to the point where it melts in your mouth. This bacon had a bit of a chew to it and that can easily turn my stomach. I did power through and even though the bacon wasn't to my liking you could tell it was fresh. Lettuce was crisp and tomatoes were plump. The mayo, of course, added to the sandwich. This also comes with a pickle spear and their house made chips with Old Bay seasoning on them. I'm no big fan of Old Bay seasoning, but these chips were amazing. Nice and crispy, and even though I'm not a fan of the seasoning, they added something to this. The tots were topped with chili and three shredded cheeses, I asked for no jalapenos for me. It was to be served with sour cream, which I did not get. The tots were good, but I think since it was missing the sour cream I was missing the effect. The cheese was good, but totally encased the whole top of the bowl it was served in. For what it lacked in luster for food for me, it sure did show up in the atmosphere category. This place is lively and accommodating to everyone. Very welcoming place and warrants a return visit. I was pleased with the staff, they were very friendly and I loved that they joked around with the customers.

Yelp
Best crab cake of my entire life! Great service, fun place; we all loved it! Definitely will return.

Yelp
Fabulous! Woody's was highly recommended. When visiting friends in Selbyville, DE, we joined another couple who were anxious to try it, too. The restaurant is right on Ocean Hwy in downtown Dewey. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We chose an enclosed putside area. We were not disappointed! The menu is huge. A large variety of starters, entrees, salads, soups, and sandwiches. It has a bar with lots of beer, wine, and cocktail options. We started with their Ying and Yang soup. This is a delicious mix of MD red crab and cream of crab soups . We all ordered crab cakes, which were EXCEPTIONAl. We were amazed by the quality, size, amount of lump, and tasty seasoning. Our waitress and staff were very attentive and pleasant. Unfortunately there was a large party of 10 with small children next to us. They were very loud and rude. Can't wait to go back! It's a must at the beaches from MD N Ocean City and S Delaware!!

Regan T.

Yelp
Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, phenomenal atmosphere!! No complaints about any of the food. We especially loved the mac and cheese bites and Philly cheesesteak!

Christine Z.

Yelp
Excellent experience - the crab cake and the crab pretzel were literally the best we've had in years and we keep pushing our luck trying them! Soft shell crab sandwich and McDonough tuna sandwich were fantastic as well! Service was on point - pleasant and consistent. Really really happy with the experience

Yelp
Woodys has such a fun ambiance with very friendly and helpful staff. Along with great food and drinks, its location is also notable, right across the street from Starboard and other attractions.

Yelp
Our first stop when we got to Dewey Beach! Woody's was recommended to us by quite a few friends and it was a great first stop! We were seated outside with our dog and it was pretty busy, but that was to be expected for a Saturday night. We had maybe a 40 min wait but you can order drinks and hang around while you wait. The staff here was amazing and so accommodating with our pup! they brought our water and a couple other treats - so sweet! You HAVE to order the crab dip (or anything crab tbh). We got the Crabby Tots that were loaded with their crab dip and cheddar cheese. OMG. Still thinking about them! Also got the crab cake of course which was very good, but definitely more crabby than expected which I'm sure some people love more than me. I wish they just had a single crab cake on the menu to share vs. having to order it as an entree or sandwich. Also, their hot sauce they had on the tables was spectacular and paired perfectly with the crab cake & mac I got as my side!!

Yelp
The best crabcake PERIOD. Atmosphere is marginal, staff is hit or miss, parking is next to impossible but there is no better crab cake and I go regularly.

Yelp
Only reason I gave two stars was because the food was delicious, otherwise it was an awful experience. The service was offensive in a way that I'm still thinking about. Our server, whose name I don't know because he never told us, barely greeted us upon seating. He spoke to us maybe a total of three times, each one being curt and cold. I wondered if that was his demeanor until I heard him speaking with the table behind us. Totally different tone, asked how their meal was and if they wanted dessert. When we were finished, he said "you done?" and then shoved the POS system at us. Truly the only reason I can fathom for this treatment is that my boyfriend is black. This experience felt horribly racist in all honesty. I've been coming to Dewey my entire life and am incredibly disappointed to be treated like less than other paying customers.

Yelp
Great spot for a casual meal and watching a game. Excellent crab meat and tuna. Great service as well.

Yelp
Ask the locals and they all say Woodys has the best crab cakes going. No filler, just a big mound of jumbo lumps of Chesapeake Bay crab in a light sauce. Unbelievable bargain priced too. That alone will keep us coming back to eat there. The sides and cocktails are good and the service is friendly. No need to change out of your swim shorts and flip flops because it's a casual place. A minor hassle is you have to hunt and pay for a parking spot in a residential area during beach season.

Yelp
My first time here visiting both Dewey Beach and Woody's. What a crowd considering it's off season and a weeknight. I was told it would be a 15 minute wait, when actually it was about two minutes. The menu is extensive. I ordered the BBQ Salmon with kitchen fries, and the Raspberry Walnut Salad. The portions were HUGE. The salmon was done to perfection. There must have been a half pound of walnuts on the salad along with a very generous amount of raspberries. Service was impeccable!
