Wooing Tree Cellar Door & Kitchen

The new cellar door is a stunning building. Dined there two days in a row and the staff, food and wines were amazing. Did a wine tasting, the staff were very knowledgeable.

Came here for lunch, had the seasonal leaf salad, spiced lamb koftas, sharing platter for 2 and french fries and was very happy with the quality and taste of everything. Lots of delicious and diverse flavours. Will definitely be back!

Went there several times since they re-opened, and the platter is full of good quality ingredients and generous. Desserts are a work of art and delicious. We are always looking forward to coming back for a treat!

Wooing Tree Vineyard is an absolute gem in Cromwell. Their Pinot Noir is outstanding — both the flagship and the Beetlejuice label deliver great character and elegance. I also loved the Blondie rosé, which is fresh and unique, along with a well-balanced Chardonnay and crisp sparkling wines. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tasting experience relaxed and enjoyable. The setting is beautiful, with outdoor seating and vineyard views — perfect for a sunny afternoon. Family-friendly, welcoming, and with top-quality wines, this is a must-visit in Central Otago. Highly recommended!

The new Wooing Tree Cellar Door is looking great. Love the new menu and staff were very welcoming. I tried the arancini balls, a lovely vegetarian option. Delicious wines too.

Wooing Tree was such a great find! The lunch platters were so generous and so delicious- full of home made items. And the wines were tasty and not expensive. We loved the unique white Pinot Noir. The woman who served us was down to earth and friendly. Beautiful surroundings. Google maps didn’t know the entry is opposite Roberts lane.

Isabelle made our day, so friendly and patient. Great tasting flight and snacks. Beautiful new building. Almost bought a bottle or three of our favorite but $180 a bottle was a little over our price range. Thanks!! Only con, very limited menu after 3pm.

We loved our experience at Wooing Tree! We did a wine tasting first - the gentleman serving us was very friendly and knowledgeable. Then we enjoyed a glass of our favorite wine and a huge platter of meats, cheese, bread and other goodies. It was beyond delicious!! The patio is also very nice with a great view. We highly recommend visiting!
