Word On The Water - The London Bookbarge

What a cozy find! We discovered the canal and tow path while visiting the Canopy Market - and then we discovered Word on the Water. A sweet barge absolutely chock full of mostly used and a few used books. The bookseller was delightful and helpful. We had a quick poke around and found someone new to read - which always makes for a good day. Fabulous!

A very unique and charming place! It’s incredible to explore, read and buy books in a bookshop set on the water. There’s a great variety of books - from sale for only £4 to fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. There’s even a very cosy corner for children’s books. Such a lovely atmosphere!

What a find! I finally made it to the book barge! This is Word on the Water, a floating bookshop situated on a barge along Regent's Canal in London. They had a small section with second hand books and another with lesser known classics. A very nice bookshop with lots of genres!

The bookshop is unique of its kind, you are reading your book on a boat in a very stylish atmosphere. If you are lucky, you can even come across a mini-concert on the top of the boat, which adds significant joy to your time. They offer a range of books, from classical to fiction. The boat is by the river at King’s Cross, opposite to Waitrose. I loved being there in a nice and charming atmosphere. Strongly recommended to visit and take photos!

This really is such a unique bookstore and I love how it is on a boat. Of course it will be small but it has a great range of books and I find a wizard book, so that's what book i pick up plus a tote bag.

A lovely floating bookshop with a warm, cozy atmosphere. You can feel the gentle sway of the boat as you browse, which makes the experience even more special. I bought a book during my visit and enjoyed their wonderful playlist playing softly in the background. Such a charming hidden gem in London!
