I am still in disbelief that the chicken sandwich I just had was not made of actual chicken. It was incredibly tender, flavorful, and spiced to perfection. I ordered it from this restaurant I stumbled upon while searching Yelp for a late lunch, thankfully Yelp knew I'd be looking for Vegan/Vegetarian options and highlighted the option. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also offer vegan options, which made me decide to give it a try.
As I parked my car, I was welcomed by a playlist of classic rock hits from the nineties, which set the tone for the restaurant's throwback and rock-inspired decor. During a lull in my midday, I had the opportunity to chat with one of the cousins who run the place, and they shared some interesting tidbits about the restaurant's history and how it ended up in Fountain Square. Their greeting and service were top-notch, making me feel at ease and valued as a customer.
But let's talk about the food. This place is a must-visit for vegans and non-vegans alike. The vegan chicken sandwich was a masterpiece, with a perfect level of breading, tenderness (especially considering it was not made of meat), and just the right amount of spice. The only thing I would have wished for was more sauce, slaw, and pickles, but the taste was so addictive that I devoured the whole sandwich in one go. The fries that came as a side were also noteworthy, with a well-balanced seasoning.
To top it off, I ordered an adult frosty to cool off from the heat of the sandwich, and it was a great complement to the meal. And as if all of this was not enough, the restaurant also boasts a full bar, making it a win-win-win-win situation. I highly recommend you give it a try!
