Their location is fantastic. We ordered the Benedict but seems not like traditional one to me. Wonderful service with kind manner. They offer outside sitters both with indoors if u reckon the sun is too much. Fun fact: by looking at the restaurant nearby, they seem are one of the few restaurants opened before real noon. And it is a not bad choice.

A Mixed Bag on the Boardwalk My boyfriend and I were looking for a classic San Diego beach brunch and decided to try World Famous. We arrived around 10 am on a Sunday and were told the wait would be about 40 minutes. Luckily, we got a text that our table was ready in only 20 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. We were seated outside in a shady spot, which was perfect since it was already getting hot. The one major drawback was the strict menu schedule. I have an egg allergy, so I was hoping to order from the lunch menu, but we were told the kitchen wouldn't start those orders for another 45 minutes. It would be great if they could be more flexible with allergies. When I was finally able to order, I got the fish and chips without the chips due to a potato allergy and chose a side salad instead. The fish was a bit heavy on the batter, but it was flavorful. The side salad was pretty standard, nothing special. A suggestion for the menu would be to offer sweet potato fries as an alternative for people with nightshade allergies. My boyfriend had a much better experience. He ordered the World Famous Wipeout and said the bacon was perfect and the pancakes were delicious. Our server was very sweet and attentive throughout our meal. The Drunken Mermaid cocktail was also a hit! We would consider going back, but next time we’ll aim to arrive closer to lunch service to avoid the wait for the kitchen to open the lunch menu. Overall, a nice spot with good service, but the menu constraints were a significant issue for my allergies.

Our new favorite spot. We would highly recommend checking it out. Bee was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal. Our meal was timed and coursed perfectly, she took excellent care of us. The food was so flavorful and everything was delicious. The entire table was impressed with how good the lobster bisque was. The salad dressing was SO good!!! 10/10, we loved the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the view. Can't wait to come back!

We are regulars for a reason! The manager, Roxanne, is incredible! My parents have mobility issues and she ensures that we have a table that can accommodate them EVERY time we visit. The staff, especially Luz, are so helpful and friendly. The food is terrific but the people who work there make this a step above the rest! It’s why we always come back! The tacos are INCREDIBLE! You cannot go wrong with any menu option. You have a view of the ocean and boardwalk! People watchers will love this place!

We took our large family for dinner and it was wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. We ordered many drinks, appetizers, and dinner items. All the food came out piping hot. Calamari was large pieces and tasty. The crab cakes were also well seasoned and very tasty. I ordered the Harpoon dish and the salmon was well seasoned but a bit overcooked. The shrimp in the dish had a strong cholrine flavor which overpowered the rest of the flavor of the shrimp. The scallops were small but tasty. The asparagus could have used another 30 seconds to cook. The experience was great and memorable.

Our visit to World Famous was nothing short of amazing. We kicked things off with their clam chowder, creamy, flavorful, and easily one of the best we’ve had. For our main course, the Sierra Mar grilled Pacific sea bass absolutely stole the show, perfectly cooked and bursting with fresh, coastal flavor. The crunchy jumbo shrimp lived up to their name, super crispy on the outside, tender and sweet on the inside. We couldn’t resist adding a lobster taco and a fish taco, and both were so dam good. Seriously, don’t leave without trying them! Even the kids’ fish and chips impressed us. It’s better than many of the adult versions we’ve tried at other local spots. Service was warm and welcoming when we were seated, though there was a small hiccup with the water refills and post meal check ins. Still, the incredible food more than made up for it. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

Google
I had the seafood taco sampler and the jumbo shrimp. My server Madi was good. Quick, attentive and friendly. The tacos were the best I've had. These are a meal within itself. The jumbo shrimp with the ginger slaw was so flavorful. Plus I got the stuffed mushrooms to go. Very good. Right on the beach, great atmosphere inside or out on the patio.

Me, my husband and 3 teenagers, came in yesterday for dinner. There was no wait (on a Monday night) loved the atmosphere! We chose to sit inside rather than the outside patio, but we could still see the sunset from our spot. The food was fantastic!!!!! My husband got the taco sampler, and boy did it looked amazing! Way bigger than expected. He said 10/10. Each taco was different and had distinct flavors. Two boys got burgers, and they LOVED IT. said the fried egg on top gave it the best flavor. My daughter got pasta cappelini and ate every morsel. I had the lobster bisque and seared salmon over a bed of mashed potatoes and corn salsa. Absolutely divine! My kids said we have to go back one more time before leaving. Lol

Yelp
Somehow I've never been here for breakfast. It's was really good and I'll definitely be back. Usually I bring out of towners and reserve an outside table during sunset, since it's right on the boardwalk and has a great view of the sunset over the ocean. They take reservations but it wasn't needed on this Saturday morning. It probably gets busier in the summer and later in the morning, so make a reservation if you have a set time you'd like to eat. The menu had lots of great options. I like that they had some Mexican options. When I go out for breakfast, I like to get things that are more work and I don't make at home as often. This often means getting Benedict for breakfast. World Famous had 4 yummy choices. I choice the crab cake. I like that it came with spinach and artichoke. My friend got the surf (lobster) and turf (steak/carne maybe?). We both really enjoyed for food. The service was good. They were friendly and checked on us just enough. Probably the only negative is the parking. But that's to be expected at the beach. Plan accordingly to have enough time to drive around or park down PB Dr, for free parking. There's underground parking and a lot where you can pay on the same block.

Yelp
This lovely seafood restaurant is right on the beach. The interior was cute and casual, with many larger than life windows, with stunning views of the ocean. We were seated in cozy booth seating. I ordered the Seafood Trio, comprising of roasted salmon, jumbo scampi shrimp, seared scallop, along with asparagus. Previously, the menu indicated it was served with basil crab cake, which I would have preferred over the scallops. This came with a starter of Lobster Bisque with a piece of bread. The soup was rich, creamy, and full of boldly flavored lobster taste. Out of the Seafood Trio, my favorite was the Salmon, which was delightfully flaky, tender, and well seasoned. The Shrimp was succulent, juicy, with plenty of garlicky yumminess. Scallops were soft, only lightly seared and just okay, as I am not really a fan of them. Asparagus was cooked to perfection, and a nice fresh element. There was also a honey butter stone ground corn cake, which was moist, buttery, made with real corn. For dessert, I had a hard time choosing between Mud Pie and Whiskey Praline Bread Pudding. I finally went with the Mud Pie, which consisted of chocolate ice cream, peanutty crust, chiclet drizzle, as well as whipped cream. This was delicious, velvety smooth, oh so rich, and sweet. Service was solid. Our waitress was personable and very patient with all the requests from our group. We were well taken care of throughout our dinner. I would be open to returning in order to try the Potato wrapped Seabass or Seafood Taco Sampler.

Yelp
Nice vibes but quality of the food and drink was lacking. Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Appreciated getting seated even though the restaurant closed in 40 minutes and most of the other guests had already filed out. Took longer than expected to get our orders and the check, but staff were all friendly and I understand they were getting ready for close. **Price & portion, 3.5/5** Prices are quite steep for the portion size depending on what you order. The calamari appetizer only ended up being ~6 pieces, for example. **Presentation of the food, 3/5** Presentation is a bit old school and isn't the most thoughtful (calamari was left in a ton of sauce and got soggy very quickly). **Taste of the food, 2.5/5** Lots of hits and misses. HITS______________ - Grilled oysters with chimmichurri. Succulent, fresh, and tangy. I probably could've downed a dozen of these if I really wanted to. - Battered fish from the fish n chips: super crispy with a flakey, tender white fish. MISSES______________ - Calamari: While the calamari pieces were large, the sweet sauce it was served with overwhelmed the entire dish in both flavor and texture. It got the breading soggy immediately so there was no satisfying crunch, and it was hard to taste anything besides the sweetness. The slaw sitting under the calamari was also too wet generally, seeped all over the plate, and contributed to the soggy breading. - Pina colada: Super icy and not blended well, and the only thing you can taste is the rum float. No fruity flavors, and super unbalanced. Good if you like icy rum, not good if you're expecting a smooth tropical cocktail. - Fries from the fish n chips: These tasted stale and had neither a crisp outside or fluffy inside. They tasted like frozen fries that had been cooked, refrigerated, and reheated. **Other notes** Parking. Restrooms.

Yelp
Again, I have to rave about the Brussels Sprouts at WF. The chicken sandwich is also very good as is the tasty Coleslaw that accompanies it. Service was very pleasant but the food was really slow coming out of the kitchen at 3:40 on a Sunday. Place wasn't very busy but it took a good thirty minutes after placing our food order to receiving it.

Yelp
The location by the beach is definitely a plus. I love being able to watch the waves crashing and the people going by. We ordered the Fantastic Burger, fish taco, and clam chowder. Since it was really cold today, the hot clam chowder tasted really good. The fish taco was delicious. The burger was huge, had strips of bacon and an egg in it. The yoke is runny so it flows down. I really like that. The only complaint is the stale bacon, like the oil was used too many times, or the bacon was fried too many times. There are very limited parking outside the restaurant. I had to park at the public parking, cost $10/hr.

Yelp
Amazing short rib very tinder and flavorful . This place right on the beach and it's great eating and just enjoying the ocean

Yelp
Love this place. Been going here for years. One of my go-to's when someone is visiting from out of state. The location is awesome and the views. The food is really good. Breakfast omelets and açaí bowls are my fav. I love their salads. And Bailey is our FAVORITE bartender. We love him!!! Check out their daily bar happy hour. They have some great items for really great prices!

Yelp
Cool spot right on the water in PB. It's seafood heavy but has options for others as well. We got drinks and a few appetizers at the bar. We got the prime rib bits which were flavorful but a little too fatty. We also ordered the Brie with bread and that was very tasty. The service was good and it's a good spot for sunset dinner or drinks

Yelp
Vibe Whats not to like? Seating is in view of the beach. This place has been here for a while. Service Very friendly and attentive. Made some recommendations. Food Clam chowder. Rich and creamy with lots of flavor. Best I have had in along time. Cioppino Broth has lots of flavor. Generous fish, large shrimp. This dish originated in San Francisco, this dish can give San Fran a run for their money. Taco Seafood Sampler Crispy cod, achiote shrimp and fritto calamari so tasty. Did not care for shrimp taco maybe it was the achiote, cooked perfectly but not for my palate. The coffee was very good. Love this place, will return for breakfast next time.

Yelp
Not as good as the last time I went but the atmosphere is still nice. We sat near the window to watch the ocean. I have a Famous burger with fries and my sister had a lobster sandwich. We weren't able to have breakfast even though we were seated before 1 pm. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

Yelp
This place is one of a kind as it's located right near the ocean. We sat at a booth with a view. The service was pretty quick. The servers were very nice. The food was subpar. I got an assortment of seafood tacos. The fish was very salty & almost stale tasting. I might come back for some drinks!

Yelp
Pretty good spot located right in the heart of pacific beach. Service was great and the food hit the spot. Drinks were great too. Come by for lunch and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
When to world famous for dinner and the vibes are amazing, the patio is so cute and a great ocean view. Even better they had the heaters going but still the ocean breeze. The show stopper was the ravioli, must get. I liked the short rib but the asparagus was ok, mushy and not appetizing but the flavor of the dish overall was good. The salmon was 5/5, a little spicy but had great flavor and seasoning. Highly recommend if you want to eat ocean side!

Yelp
Food is good and I generally enjoy this place. The last time I went it took 15 minutes for menus and waters to come. But I go here every time I'm in town so I think it was a one off.

Yelp
Came here for the lobster tacos happy hour special. I was amazed by how big they were! For 3$ I was expecting tiny street taco sized mouthful, but no there were XL and packed with lobster and delicious! I Also got the harpoon combination it was also pretty good. I was a little disappointed with the salid that came with it, the dressing was not what I was expecting when it said balsamic, I was expecting a vinaigrette olive oil combo and it was more like a creamy spicy mustard feel. Everything else in the combination was great! Pretty big portions of fresh seafood with amazing flavor. Also the breas that came with it was pretty good. Service was pretty good good I think their might have been a mix up with my order so it took a little longer to come out then expected but it could just be hiw fesh the seafood is. I will definitely coming back for the lobster tacos and to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Well located restaurant on Pacific Beach - right on the beach near excellent free parking. I visited for dinner with three other work colleagues earlier this week. They gave us a lovely table overlooking the beach. I ordered a hazy IPA, California crab cakes to share, and lobster bisque soup. I decided to skip an entrée and save room for the mud pie I had seen advertised on a board when we walked in. The drinks and appetizers arrived fairly quickly. I downed my beer and dug into the crab cakes, which were small but delicious. I also nibbled on two other appetizers - the Brussels sprouts and nut crusted brie - but neither impressed me enough to have a second bite. The lobster bisque arrived along with the others' entrées, and was superb. Flavorful, with generous chunks of lobster meat. My colleagues seemed to enjoy their food too. Finally - the dessert I had been waiting for - the mud pie. This was a generous portion and a perfect way to end a lovely evening! Will be back!

Yelp
Wow it pains me to write this but here goes... Its been several years since I have been here. This has always been our first stop when arriving in SD and this time was no different. To start (which is not the restaurant's fault) but the street leading to the restaurant off of Mission Beach Blvd was closed off. We always parked right by the restaurant or in the garage right next to the restaurant so I was totally thrown off when we couldn't. We found a spot in the small shopping center that sits right on Mission Beach Blvd close to the restaurant. I was shocked the charge is $15 an hour for parking. I had no choice as our luggage and personal items were in the car and I didn't want my vehicle too far away. Now for the restaurant. We came in shortly after 1 on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't busy. The lady at the host stand said hello but wasn't one bit friendly. She appeared to be a manager based on age and what she was wearing. She offered a table at the bar, inside the restaurant or a short wait to sit outside by the beach. We opted for inside. Our server came by after a few minutes and took our order. She as well wasn't overly friendly. I am just not used to this after all the times previously coming here and having super friendly service. Our order was simple. Two bowls of Lobster bisque and two lobster tacos. We weren't wanting a heavy meal since it was a little later and we had dinner plans as well. The food came out piping hot and pretty quickly. The food was absolutely delicious as always (5 stars there). Our server seemed busy with several other tables so my son's drink sat empty for several minutes and my kids needed more bread for their bisque and by the time the server came around for us to ask for those items their bisque was no longer hot/warm. The other thing that I am unsure about how I feel is the amount of flies landing on our table and flying around us. Now I know this is an open-air type of place so you will get flies and it was clear the restaurant was trying to get a handle of them because the hostess was using an electric fly swatter to kill them in the dining room while guests were eating. I watched several people observing this and like me they too appeared unsure how they felt. What's worse the flies all around or someone killing them as you eat? The other thing is the bathrooms. There are two stalls and one didn't lock. They were out of toilet paper and the restroom just needed a good deep cleaning. Overall, the experience was just not what it used to be. Sure the food was great, but the service wasn't, no one was friendly like several previous times we've been here. It flies and the killing of them while guests ate was off putting. Not sure if this will continue to be apart of our traditions when visiting SD.

Yelp
The food here is very delicious. We got the lobstah! My wife got the steak and lobster Benedict which was phenomenal! I got the lobster BLT and this thing had so much lobster on it I'm surprised it didn't cost more. They did no skimp. The pina colada was refreshing (although it had too much whip cream) still very good. My only complaint, and of course this isn't the restaurant's fault was the horrendous parking! Luckily we had handicap and were able to find something in the shopping center nearby. The service was so good because there were several servers helping one another. The ambiance was beachy and had a great view of the sand and water of Pacific Beach!

Yelp
We went at lunch on a weekday so we were seated quickly and service was really great! The food hit the spot and officially made it onto my list of best fish tacos in San Diego!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and years, but apparently never written a review. It's one of the few spots that are even still around and thriving from when I was a wee pup and meandering along the beach path in San Diego. I stop in every time I'm in San Diego or passing through. This place has it all. Something for everyone on the menu. Great views inside and out. Friendly and fast service. They've remodeled a bit and got a new sign painted which looks beautiful! Lobster bisque has great flavor, but missing actual visible and tangible bits of lobster for the full experience and maybe a sprig of green for visual but still a beautiful plate especially in the right sunlight! Fish taco was great - wish the full ingredients would've been listed in the menu because I would've gone no cheese.. the cheese seemed to cheapen it down.. like a sprinkling from a big bag or something (not my favorite). Prime Rib bits are absolutely delightful and perfect when you don't want a full hunk of meat but still want a first class nibble. Highly recommend and the bread that comes with whew yaaasssss honey! Prefer that bread for soaking up the bisque bowl. This should definitely be a bookmarked spot for all visiting. You can enjoy a full day on the beach and end here for lunch or dinner and that's a doggone good day! Perfect place to grab a bite and then walk it off down the beach path!

Yelp
My parents and I were staying at the hotel across the walkway and really enjoyed World Famous! We originally went there for dinner one night and had a great meal. We had some appetizers and I had the pasta--super good! Our waiter (forgetting his name ahhh) was quick with refills and patient with our orders. We then went there for breakfast on our last morning in the area. My parents actually went the day before (without me) and enjoyed it so much they wanted to come again. We got sat immediately on a Monday morning. I was debating between the pancakes or the acai bowl and our waitress recommended the acai bowl. I was a little hesitant because restaurant acai bowls can be so hit or miss but guys...this is one of the best I've ever had. It was LOADED and it was a hefty serving! Super refreshing. We'll definitely return when we're in the area again.

Yelp
So totally enjoyed the fish tacos here. They were flavorful and crispy and really really delicious. I would 100% come back for fish tacos and the friendly service.

Yelp
We were visiting Pacific Beach for the first time and were really craving seafood, due to our close proximity to the ocean. World Famous came highly recommended. The atmosphere is beautiful. The interior is modern and upscale but not snotty. As far as service, our waitress was a younger girl who was beyond fabulous. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Every staff member was super friendly. The food was outstanding. We started with the Crab Cakes and the Crispy Shrimp Diablo. The Crab Cakes were tender and fresh, with a delicious basil sauce and corn salsa. The Shrimp was the perfect combination of crunchiness and spiciness, definitely a great way to start our meal. We also got soups and salads, which were all really good especially the Lobster Bisque. For Entrees, I got the Harpoon Combination which is a trio of various fish. I thought the portions were rather small but the fish tasted fresh. My Dad got the Potato Wrapped Seabass which was delicious and my mom got the Pan Seared Salmon which I tried a bite of and we both loved. We finished off with the Key Lime Pie- absolutely stellar. I will definitely come back next time we are in town, and World Famous definitely got my stamp of approval!

Yelp
First time in San Diego and decided to try this highly anticipated fish restaurant. Had no idea it was located right on the ocean. My buddy and I sat at a beachside table that was open and which had an incredible breeze blowing in while we watched hundreds of young kids playing spike ball on the sand. We each ordered the "Harpoon Combo" where we started with a magnificent little bowl of lobster bisque that was absolutely perfect in every way. The combo arrived with salmon, shrimp and scallops and everything wax cooked to perfection. We stayed to watch the sun set and I plan to return one day with my wife who absolutely loves California.

Yelp
Great spot for sunset! We went for an early NYE dinner and were very satisfied. Food, service, atmosphere just flowed. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Another fantastic breakfast at the beach. This is a large spot with plenty of room for the masses. Has a lot of indoor and some outdoor covered seating. Also has a great bar area. We love this spot but parking makes it tough to visit too often. It's the beach so during the week it's easier to find parking than the weekends. The struggle for parking is well worth it for this amazing food. Incredible staff and fast service Parking is free first come first served and there is paid parking on the Main Street area in several lots. Be sure to pay attention to the signs in lots as some are only available for hotel guests.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch today with 4 adults and a kiddo. While we chose not to wait the 25 mins for a beach seat (5 year old hunger tantrums), we did still have a great view of Pacific Beach. We started w surf and turf bloody Mary's, they were delicious w poached shrimp, bacon, and all the traditional BM fixings. Then we went w two orders of fish and chips (excellent, recommend), the Gorgonzola veggie scramble (meh, but the rosemary bread was great), a chicken sandwich, and a kiddos chicken strips meal. Service was great, Lauren was ours and while busy, she was attentive. Definitely a great spot for views and seafood!

Yelp
View great, but you can get that view on the beach. All I'll say is please do not judge tacos in San Diego from this place.

Genie N.

Yelp
Came in about 3:30 pm after a walk along S. Mission Beach's boardwalk. Greeted and seated on the patio where we could see the boardwalk and beach, very lively day! After a few minutes Emma came to take our drink order. We ordered a Chardonnay and a margarita and within 5 minutes our drinks arrived. We ordered an appetizer, Brussels sprouts, and our dinner which was a shrimp taco and an avocado taco. Brussels sprouts were quite good, a little tangy/sweet dressing atop the roasted sprouts with walnuts and grated Parmesan cheese. Tacos were very good and filling, solid choices. Emma checked back with us and was quite busy during our stay but seemed pleasant enough. For sure we will come back and try other menu items.

Yelp
We come here twice a year and it never disappoints !! Bailey was our bartender this visit and he was funny and professional!! He helped us decide on drinks and food He knows his restaurant!! Great job !! This has a ocean view so beautiful and peaceful You can dine near ocean view but we always like the bar area !! Nothing like great cocktails and a breathtaking view !! Hurry get down there happy hour at 4:00 You will have a lifetime of memories!!!

Yelp
A traditional breakfast/brunch spot with excellent ocean views and very friendly service! We came here around Thanksgiving week and were seated immediately on their outdoor patio with heat lamps. Overall ambiance and service were great but the food was just okay - nothing spectacular to write home about but also nothing particularly bad. I appreciated their vegan tofu bowl was actually incredibly flavorful with a nice curry base and but the other dishes were just simple two egg breakfasts or a classic breakfast burrito.

Yelp
I went back because I couldn't resist! I miss the Salmon salad... I stopped by Saturday around 4pm and ate at a bar table that was available. My salad took almost an hour to come but my server was sweet and apologetic and brought me three diet cokes while I waited. Salmon salad was delicious as ever! I could have used more dressing but otherwise it was delish. I'm going back for my birthday Monday 8/12 and am hoping for the best!

Yelp
World famous? What are they famous for- slow service - bad service! The service is horrible. Had to remind the waitress for the soup 40 minutes later. The soup was as almost $10 and it came half full. Then they brought me my food and never my husbands. I ate mine and and still never came. We waked and waited and waited. We decided to tell waitress - we are not waiting anymore. It's like almost 1.5- 2 hours. We asked for the check and she gave it to us and we payed. We were getting ready to leave and then she brought my husband food. We told her we lost our appetite and left. All the water was empty in our drinking glasses. Food was super expensive for very little and very bad service. Very little variety of food in menu. The restaurant had people in it, but not full house. I am not coming back.

Yelp
We have been coming to MB/PB since the 90s and usually eat at World Famous. Tonight they were definitely off. They were busy, but that has happened before. The food took over 50 minutes after we ordered, which has never happened. The teenagers wanted to just go back to where we were staying, so we requested to have their stuff be packed to go when ready. All the meals came out as togo. I had wanted to eat mine there, because I had a glass of wine, and I wanted a warm meal. I did not get that. I told the waitress my food was cold and she apologized but didn't do anything about it just walked away. I've had problems before with my order, it happens. She came back later and offered me another glass of wine but I was good the glass I had. I'm not sure where the manager was, but they never came over to apologize for the issue, which is just good customer service. I think my biggest frustration is that I was looking forward to a good meal and I didn't have that, but paid as if I did. I also paid for a salad that I never received. I didn't realize it until later. So I ended up paying for cold food and a salad I didn't get... They were busy but I have been there previously on multiple occasions when it was busy. I've never had to wait 50 minutes for a cold meal.

Yelp
Good was fantastic. Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance was awesome last night sitting on The patio with heated lights and the ocean as a background. Divine! Here again for breakfast. Large menu. Breakfast burrito for my hubs and epic French toast for me. Wish we had a good restaurant like this by my houses! Lots of surfers out for morning entertainment. Highly recommend.

Yelp
A local librarian from University of San Diego recommended this place to us! So glad we went. It was an easy ride on the #8 bus from Mission Bay. We made a reservation for an hour before sunset. My friend had two appetizers and I went for a side salad and clam chowder. Our server was friendly and helpful. It was the perfect amount of food and not too pricey. For that gorgeous location with a view of surfers, sunset and maybe a dolphin, it was a perfect last night for us in San Diego. We took a stroll along the beach path after dinner to enjoy the rest of the sunset.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in PB. The vibe is always nice because you can seat beachside and enjoy your meal. Meals are always on point! I ordered the prime rib w/hashbrown + eggs, carnitas chilaquiles and lobster bisque soup. Everything was amazing! Our server was very attentive and have a superb customer service skills! Overall another great visit at one of my go to spots when I'm in PB!

Yelp
We were seated quickly by the patio window like we asked. The ambiance was inviting and fresh. The waitstaff was sweet and friendly. After taking our order he came back with the surf n turf Bloody Mary and grapefruit mimosa. Both were excellent. My crab cake eggs Benedict was light and a little buttery. The Wipeout breakfast my spouse got was huge and he ate a really good amount. My daughter in law's lobster was excellent too -- we shared our meals. We decided to go back again and so should you!

Yelp
World Famous has been my PB go-to for 10 years. I was super stoked when my wife and I booked our honeymoon stay at Surfer Beach Hotel because of its proximity to World Famous. It's the stereotypical beach side resort-ish seafood restaurant, but without the uppity ness that comes from La Jolla or Downtown. Prices are reasonable and portions are substantial. Everything was solid as usual (we even ordered Brussels as an app) and the ambiance was spot on. There's something about sitting in an old beachside restaurant, looking out to the ocean, and dark wood booths that just brings comfort. Glad to see the character of the building hasn't changed and happy to enjoy another quality meal at World Famous.

Yelp
Food was not fresh what's so ever, calamari was straight up frozen fish sticks. Icing on the cake the clam chowder was fresh out of a can. First drink came out with lip stick stains all over it and server was mid. Bill was $400 for microwaved warmed up frozen food... I was better off giving it the homeless guy outside the restaurant to let him get his next high. Would not recommend

Yelp
On Wednesdays they have $3 lobster tacos!! No specials on beer, this is where they'll get you ($9 and up) For the specials you have to sit in the bar section, has high top tables too that can fit 3-4 peeps. They also have special tacos on Tuesday. My biggest discovery of the night is their side of sautéed vegetables. Imagine getting shiitake, asparagus and carrots in a side dish... unheard of. It was done really well and not overly salty. Got to come back again!! It's the same look since I was here 10 years ago. Great view of ocean and sunset. Has a parking lot that's first come first serve, free.

Yelp
Great food, great service, amazing view ! Honestly best fish and chips we've had, and we grew up here in California. Kids LOVED their food . They devoured the Mac and cheese and chicken tenders . Hands down the best food we've had ! Walking distance from our hotel . Definitely will be coming again

Yelp
We got three orders of the calamari for our party and everyone devoured them and agreed they were delicious. I ordered the halibut with olives and capers. The dish came with a really delicious corncake! My husband really enjoyed his salmon, which came on a bed of mashed potatoes and was topped with sprouts. The service was okay. We had asked the VAserver to get someone to move the umbrella for shade on my side, but that assistance never arrived and I ended up moving to a different seat. Their bread was amazing. My daughter ordered the fish and chips from the kids' menu for only $10, which I tried, and it was very tasty with the malt vinegar. We had a great view of the ocean/beach from our patio seating... Great view of the sunset at dinner time! I highly recommend coming here, especially for special occasions or romantic outings. Unfortunately, their cocktails were just meh. Husband ordered the Drunken Mermaid based on our server's recommendation. I don't recommend it. Parking in this area is a pain, but you can get hours free with validation at the lot just a couple doors behind the restaurant.

Yelp
Our waitress was amazing to say the least. She is a top notch professional and recommended many good entrees. The food was better than incredible. We had several dishes and was very happy with all of them. Highly recommend and a must stop here at pacific beach

Yelp
Misleading to be honest. They advertised having happy hours from 4PM to closing time and yet they have no drink specials. Nothing as in zero drinks. The only happy hour item was chicken taco. It's a place overlooking the beach but the bar area isn't. You'll take your chance in finding a free parking space or you pay $10/hour at the underground parking not far from it. However they also provide a validation pass so you don't have to pay for parking. The staff were nice and helpful. It's a spacious place for groups or solo diners. It's also a perfect place for people watching and beach views. I just can't get over the fact that their "happy hour" doesn't really have anything aside from chicken tacos. We ordered anyway as we were starving from the long drive from Las Vegas. The cocktail was ok. The lobster tacos and shrimp tacos were ok.
