World Heritage Hotel & Apartment - Dwarikas Chhen

Hotel located in an historical palace of KTM, next durbar square. |The staff is kind and helpful. The atmosphere is positive.|Our room was at the last floor, spacious but not too clean in my opinion (carpeting, some insects...) but it's ok for Kathmandu.|The breakfast is very good with eggs, bread and jam, potatos and pancake with honey, curd, milk/tea/coffee...|The position is perfect to visitate durbar square and also thamel, but it is a lil bit noisy, specially during morning, however I slept well.|I recomend the hotel, but it isn't a very good choise for quality-price in my opinion.

We were walking around the area and popped in for a snack and drinks. Had a chatamari, a classic Nepalese dish, which was delicious. The staff were polite and courteous. Nice place to sit and people watch. Thought the prices were very good value. Spoke very good English.

Perfect place to stay. The hotel is almost inside Durbar square, far from the mean commercial and touristic streets of Thamel but near all the historical sites. Rooms are big and most with temples view, staff is friendly and very well behaved. Nice restaurant inside

Recommended for the charm of the old building and close to Durbar Square. Located in a narrow lane. The front is closed from 8 PM to 6 AM but the watchman opens it on request/bell.

There was no hot water in the shower in our room for 4 out our 6 day stay. We were offered a 10% discount, which I felt didn't really compensate. However, the problem may have now been fixed - worth checking. Otherwise it was all really nice. Friendly staff.

Worst service. They didn't provide us breakfast simply bu saying we are busy. The owner is one of the cheapest person ever. I had to wait many months to get my refund since I booked for a week and stayed only 2 days because of lack of proper service

This was our favorite hotel in all of Nepal and India! We loved the architecture, the staff, the restaurant and the views of the historic temples from our balcony. Every staff member treated us like valued friends. We extended our stay because we were absolutely smitten!
