Yelp
As someone who drinks more soda than probably 99.8% of the population, I was quite looking forward to this. It was, however, incredibly underwhelming.
Small. Brief. Limited. Providing very surface level information and presentation, with a very barebones experience. What is the value-add of coming here, as opposed to finding all the information online? Being greeted with a brief speech by an employee is nice and all, but it didn't provide any particular insight nor memorable experience; nor did the following 7~8 minute video in which you watch people from all over the world doing random things, while loosely implying Coca Cola binds them and us together.
The only things to see after the initial presentation and film are a very truncated history and memorabilia corridor, and then a flavor smelling and (limited) flavor sampling of different Coca Cola umbrella products from around the world. That the complex is as big as it is, and commands the presence and expectation it does, makes me quite sad; as a person, a traveler, a client, and a particular binge consumer of soda. Very much a case of resting on trademark laurels to line corporate coiffeurs.
It is difficult for me to recommend coming here due to or for enjoyment. On that end, my review would lean towards 1 out of 5 stars. On value and worthwhileness, I would likewise assign 1 out of 5 stars. However, given its uniqueness and that there are limited things to do in Atlanta, as well as that Coca Cola is such a multi-generational and multi-national staple that transcends culture and borders, I'll yield a 2 out of 5 stars. "Best I can do."
Sidebar - if you are big into sodas, especially those from overseas, Pepsi Zero Electric Blue and Egils Appelsinn Zero Sugar are two of my favorites. On the topic of Coke brand products, I cannot say anything overseas or exotic has a firm place in my heart and on my togue. I will say Vanilla Coffee Coke Zero is something I could do with everyday; and sadly, it is/has become rare.
