World of Whisky

Terrible recommendations and over priced. Pushes cheap whisky onto people who don't know better. Update in response to request from owner: A friend of mine was convinced by the staff at this store to purchase a bottle of whisky that is universally poorly reviewed. This bottle normally retails between $120 and $140, but World of Whisky charged him $220 for it. Upon tasting the bottle, I would say that the reviews I have read are fair, and buying it for $120 would be acceptable, but $220 is certainly not. In my initial review, I called the bottle "cheap" as it is of poor to middling quality and relatively inexpensive. I also called the store over priced as that charged well over market value for this bottle.

I order a bottle of whisky online. Luckily I paid by paypal. I never had any news about my order. No reply to my emails. Paypal refunded my money. To be avoided.

Extremely satisfied customer with the World of Whisky team. They packed enough foam and bubble wrap on my purchase to survive a 10 metre drop on the head! 100% happy and very willing to purchase again. I’m keeping my eye out on the next special bottle to keep my Mizunara 18 company.

The staff are brilliant. Speak to them about what whisky experiences that you have enjoyed, and they will make some superb recommendations. Boutique in size, this is no Dan Murphy's mega-warehouse. What they lack in quantity, they make up in quality.

Here for tasting. Great presentation on whisky. David was able to answer questions out of blue. They don't skimp here. For the $60 class. We tried 6 whiskys that you probably would nt get to try and wouldn't have tried and were priced at $160. They all had their own characteristics and were explained to us in detail. Considering a shot of johnny walker at the pub is $15+. And we got to try 6 with commentary. Being here is a steal. Thanks World of Whisky!

Great shop, great selection and really knowledgeable and helpful owner. But very expensive. The bottle I wanted to buy was around 80 per cent mark up on retail elsewhere.

Great selection of whiskies. The owner really knows his craft. Disappointing prices though. More commonly attainable whiskies were marked up considerably. Still, worth a visit.
