We recently had a stay at worlds end lodge and were blown away by the stunning views and atmosphere. The location is perfect for breathing in some fresh mountain air, and the separate cottage we stayed in had a lovely mountain view. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by some significant issues.
The room amenities were fair, with basic facilities like hot water, TV, and a comfortable bed. However, the cleanliness of the private pool was a major letdown. The water was discolored, and there were mud particles at the bottom of the pool, making it completely unusable. Given that the private pool was a major reason for booking the cottage, especially at the bit high rate, this was a significant disappointment.
The main pool didn't fare much better, with visible algae particles in the water. We hope the management will take steps to improve the pool's condition.
The food experience was also underwhelming. The taste and variety of the food were not worth it. The menu was limited, and the quality didn't meet our expectations.
The only redeeming factor was the breathtaking view from our cottage. However, it wasn't enough to make up for the issues we faced. To improve the room facilities, providing tea and coffee facilities in the private cottages would be a great idea, given their distance from the main restaurant.
With some improvements, this hotel could be a hidden gem. We hope the new management will take our feedback seriously and work on rectifying these issues.
