WowPop Woodfired Pizza

Great quality pizzas with amazing flavours! We always eat here when visiting Halifax! The chocolate cake we had for dessert was delicious!

Awesome pizzas, great friendly service, well worth a visit or 10 - a 5-star review was done for when this place was called Morris East - a fine dining experience. I have visited, sadly, after the change in ownership. Nobody knew what the happy Hour "special" was, or what prosecco was, or, astonishingly, the prices when the bill was presented to us at a higher price ("oh, that was the old menu"). Luckily we decided not to roll the dice on the food after seeing a pizza being returned. We have lost a South End icon to the wow-pop chicken empire.

We were visiting the city and wanted some lunch. This place has gluten free options for the pizza so my partners wanted to check it out. I really enjoyed the regular dough pizza , though the gluten free dough is nothing to rave about. However the toppings were excellent !

None of the character, creativity, or service of the former "Morris East Pizza " original location remains. I went soon after the new ownership took over and to say it was disorganized would be too generous. The service was extremely slow and I only ordered drinks. The server was not acquainted with the menu specials and I was overcharged by a dollar for my Prosecco (a drink that it took at least three staff members to figure out what it even was). When I brought this up, she replied (referring to the menu I ordered it off), "That's the old menu." To be fair, the staff were all incredibly young and didn't appear to have service experience. I will NEVER return to this once great downtown dining location.

Great authentic wood fired pizza with sophisticated topping combinations & small collection of extremely tasty starters. Stylish but relaxed atmosphere that's great for dinner with friends.

I went because it was featured on You Gotta Eat Here. It was okay. I didn't find the items they featured on the show except for the Wood fired S'mores which looked different from what they made on the show. The staff were friendly.

Amazing Pizza! We each enjoyed our own.

Glad to have picked this spot amongst many other pizza offerings in HFX. Inventive combo of ingredients on a perfectly cooked thin crust. Must try!
