This greasy spoon was a hopping place. They were super busy, so we did have a wait for a table and not much space to stand and wait at the entrance, we had to wait outside briefly. I did not get the order I asked for, nor the eggs cooked the way I asked for, but if it’s a greasy spoon you want, this is the place. Very nostalgic.

Kim made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. She was so friendly and happy and had great recommendations! The food was delicious and we really enjoyed our time here

Google
I just finished the best Club sandwich I've ever had in my 79 years on this blue planet. It came with delicious french fries and it only cost $13 in May 2025. Atmosphere? That's in the eye of the beholder. Funky but clean.

Google
The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The food was decent — the bacon was cooked extra crisp, which may have been a bit much for my taste, but to be fair, I didn’t specify otherwise. My basted eggs were done perfectly, and the hash browns were flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. Our server, Nikki, wasn’t very friendly and never checked in or offered to refill our drinks. That said, we all have tough days, and she may have been dealing with something we weren’t aware of.

Google
We were a big group of 11, and we were extra hungry (had lunch almost at 4pm). It was the best choice, worth the wait to get there! They also serve breakfast all day!

Google
Nice small town cafe, very friendly staff, I had the club sandwich for lunch it was super tasty. The Dutch apple pie was a nice little indulgence and was delicious.

Kyle Wilkins

Google
The food is delicious, the portions are huge, the staff is friendly and the restaurant has such an awesome atmosphere.

Google
Had the chicken fried steak with eggs and hashbrowns. It was great. Tried to get the bigger portion of chicken fried steak that comes with the dinner but the waitress was not sure how to price it out so I had to go with the smaller 4oz. Ordered sausage to compensate. Turns out the smaller one would have been plenty. It was very good and I highly recommend.

Yelp
it was a cute little cafe but it was good and the service was good and it had truck parking I would highly recommend it

Yelp
Fast service- we got our food in 10 mins. Friendly staff, checked on us several times. Good food, flavorful and big portions!

Cliff R.

Yelp
Just good old down home cooking like mom used to make. Breakfast all day and I'm all over it. Mimosas & chicken fried steak & eggs. One of the better breakfast places. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
We heard good things about this place but we were disappointed! The eggs were "brown" aka burned, the bacon looked like mush, and the service was terrible! The only 2 stars given were for the pancakes that were very tasty! However, we won't be back.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
Only 4 stars as food came out less hot than I like. Biscuits and gravy were great. Also had huevos rancheros skillet. Excellent! Friendly service. Small town western ambience. Breakfast served all day!

Yelp
I always come here when passing thru on my camping trips. I have always enjoyed the food for many yerr mostly the breakfasts. The last two times I had the breakfasts burrito with the bacon, suauage, and ham smothered in green chile. The second time was just a bad as the first time. Many year ago the pork green chile could pass for that, it does not come even close now. I ask what they they put in it and the waiter said tonalities and jalapenos. Then why does is taste like chile powder? The burrito is mostly filled with hashbrowns and thin sliced ham. I you are Luckey you might find some bacon or egg. I hope that someone can clue them in that this is not Pork Green Chile and get them recipe.

Yelp
Such a great spot for local, hearty fare and to meet friendly locals. The coffee ($2.75/each) was your usual diner brew but was served fresh. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (tender beef fritter smothered with country gravy, eggs cooked your way, hash browns and choice of toast, $12.99). I had heard there is nowhere that serves the iconic meal like a Wyoming diner so I had to try it. I'll admit, it was pretty great compared to other Chicken Fried Steaks I'd had! They went heavy on the creamy, hot gravy and the steak was juicy and tender. Hash browns were cooked to perfection! My husband got the French Toast Combo ($10.99) and the few bites I had were fantastic. It came with two eggs and choice of two bacon slices or sausage links. The French toast was fluffy and made with Texas toast bread. 10/10 all around!!

Yelp
The closing hours for every restaurant in this town is at 9pm. I was hoping we could squeeze in a hot cooked meal after a long drive from Colorado Springs. I was thankful we were seated by the grim looking waitress at 8:15. She decided to help the other waiter by taking our drinks as nicely as possible. I understand she probably was tired from a busy day so I'm giving her an out but the sign said if we were grouchy they didn't have to serve us but didn't it work both ways? :/ and there were others arriving after us so I didn't feel too bad....... but our waiter was great. He didn't let all the tables he had overwhelm his mood; we didn't feel rushed. Though they were running out of items, the meals we had were hot, fresh and delicious!

Yelp
I'm sure their trying but it's just not really worth it. Eggs were destroyed, akin to what you'd expect from a Dennys. You have but two choices and the better one is likely Heart and Soul cafe. Choose wisely. If you like sweet stuff for breakfast then go to the Pines coffee house and get you some liege waffles, excellent! If you're looking to spend the day with a belly ache then look no further, you found it. On the bright side, I believe I got totally cleaned out afterwards. Service was slow but it seemed like they just need to add an employee or two, would likely make the difference. As for the ambiance, just a greasy spoon joint.

Yelp
Super busy one Sunday morning. Didn't expect a wait but heard good things from some locals. I wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious. Eggs, scrambled were a little overcooked but all in all I enjoyed it. The coffee was pretty good too. Something most places never have. Good coffee. Definitely a spot to hit for breakfast. The rest of the menu looked promising too. Service was fantastic and friendly.

Yelp
We love wrangler cafe . It is a great example of good traditional American breakfast. The service is pretty good and the whole atmosphere is homey/kid friendly. A filling meal that is a favorite here is the chicken fried steak . Served with mashed potatoes and toast. It's a comfort food lovers paradise! I ordered the steak omelette and it hit the spot. It came with soft hash browns and your choice of toast. Still waiting for a gluten free option here! I ask everytime. English muffin or maybe even a pancake would be amazing! My only complaint. This place is always a good idea, especially if you have a good appetite. Also Not a bad idea to add on a homemade pie togo.

Amie P.

Yelp
Food was very good. Service was great. Our waitress was super nice and the atmosphere was very cute.

Yelp
I don't live in Pinedale, but I want to. I consider it a town at a crossroads. There is no better way to illustrate this than to look at the two breakfast options in town: The cowboy/old school option: this place. The hippy/new school option: Hearth and Soul (https://www.yelp.com/biz/heart-and-soul-bakery-and-cafe-pinedale) Me? I like 'em both, cuz I like Pinedale. This is classic diner fare with some occasional hints of a Mexican influence. The portions are large, everything comes with potatoes + toast, the coffee is fine and it is unlimited. Service is generally friendly with a crust of surliness. Lots of locals here, just look at all the trucks in the parking lot!

Yelp
Good old cafe nothing special about the Manu mostly frozen food such hash browns Fry's so on

Yelp
Pinedale, Wyoming, located in west-central Wyoming, is a sportsman's paradise, as it's with a few minutes of some of the best outdoor activities, including boating, hunting and fishing, that the great State of Wyoming has to offer. When you engage in engage in the cornucopia of outdoor activities the area has to offer, you get hungry, and that's where Wrangler Cafe comes in, as they offer some of the best food to be found in Pinedale. Please note that this visit took place a couple years ago, and I'm only just now getting to post my thoughts on Yelp. I walked into a busy restaurant on this late-Tuesday morning. As you walk in, the long dining room is to your right, and parallels the kitchen. There is a u-shaped counter at the rear of the room which is shared by customers and staff, and is a place where the staff like to eat and chit-chat with customers. I love the rustic decor. I found a place at the end of the counter, where the locals mingle with the staff, where all of the events of Pinedale, Wyoming, the country, and the entire world are discussed. My host is the gentleman wearing the maroon shirt, on the "staff" side of the counter, and the other gentleman seems to be the guy in charge. The lady at the end of the counter seemed to be the "moderator," as she seemed to lead the conversation in local gossip, and the events of the world. The television was tuned to Fox News, and the broadcasts were mostly about the ongoing Texas hurricane and flooding, and that, along with local gossip, were the main topics discussed. I mostly listened, as I didn't have a whole lot to ad to the conversation. Chicken fried steak sounded amazing to me, so that's what I ordered. The perfectly breaded and cooked steak was covered in wonderful sausage gravy, and was tender and delicious. The sourdough toast mostly covers the hash brown potatoes and two eggs, cooked over easy, but it was not a problem, as the breakfast was delicious! Great food, great service, and a restaurant that truly reflects the character and flair of the Pinedale locals. Stop by Wrangler Cafe, in friendly Pinedale, Wyoming, for delicious food, along with lots of friendly conversations...

Yelp
Good food! Quesadillas were delicious! Very attentive service. Clean restrooms. Breakfast looked really good. We will stop again.

Louise K.

Yelp
The place has real rustic charm and the food we ordered was delicious. I had the fish tacos (excellent fish) and my husband had the French Dip. Glad we chose this place. Would definitely come here again.

Yelp
Food was okay but not good enough to pay an extra 3.5% at the register, no notice until you go to pay at the register.
google avatar

Kristin B.

Yelp
Stopped here for an afternoon pick me up after being on the motorcycles for most of the day. Friendly staff and a very "old west" feel to the place. Enjoyed a hot cup of cocoa and a cinnamon roll. The roll was a little dry; maybe a day old or a bit overworked but I ate every last bite

Yelp
We just had a great burger and a delicious patty melt at the Wrangler Cafe as we drove through Wyoming. Excellent service and nice people! I wish I could try more of the items in the menu because I'm sure they are all good! Thank you!!
google avatar

Valerie B.

Yelp
Just good food! They were packed but the server managed to efficiently take my order and deliver! Great traditional breakfast
google avatar

Rose T.

Yelp
Breakfast was a great. The portions are large. I'm glad I ordered the 1/2 pancake sandwich. My husband had eggs and ham with hashbrowns. The night before we ate at their sister restaurant (The Patio) extremely happy with both.

Yelp
We were told to check out the Wrangler for breakfast since we are from out of town. This was probably some of the best breakfast I have had. They have a house made pork Verde sauce they put on a burrito & it was amazing. She got some shredded ribeye w/ green peppers & scrambled eggs. Eduardo was on point as a waiter & we were very pleased. This place did not disappoint!

Cindi E.

Yelp
I like eating breakfast here occasionally, especially like the biscuits and gravy, and the omelettes. They also make homemade real French fries which are wonderful.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
Nice hone style cooking. After days on road of fast food, it was a welcomed meal. We had dinner and it was good.

Louise M.

Yelp
e have been traveling cross country and have had wonderful service, met wonderful people. Not here! First and foremost, the waitress was extremely rude. She snapped when my brother asked if breakfast was being served. Though it was, she snapped and acted as though couldn't be bothered. We heard her tell the hostess not to let anyone else in. Then there was the food. I did receive a glass of red wine which quite honestly Boones Farm would've been a tremendous upgrade. I had the Reuben and somehow they made the sauerkraut totally tasteless. I mean sauerkraut. The only reason this restaurant was selected by us was because every other restaurant in town was short of labor and closed.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were very excited to have green chili breakfast. Being from Wyoming and being Mexican I thoroughly enjoy green chili and most places nail the authentic flavor I crave. My craving for green chili was immediately shattered when I took the first bite of the Huevos Rancheros. The green chili was not green which calls into question the choice of chili used in the first place. The cook was far too heavy handed with the lime and it tasted as though the whole dish relied on just lime, tomato and salt. Which I like in tomato soup but not in chili smothering all of my food for breakfast. I do not begrudge the waitress however we were forced to leave as we could not stomach it any further.

Terri M.

Yelp
This is a little cafe with 3 little rooms. I believe the capacity was around 50 people. I got the Philly-steak sandwich and my daughter had a grilled cheese sandwich. The fries were gross. The sandwiches were alright, but nothing to write home about. My sandwich needed salt for flavor.

Joe M.

Yelp
Exactly what we were looking for ... hearty traditional breakfast. Hot coffee, fast service and polite people. Looks like the local ranchers place - definitely going back!
google avatar

Donald G.

Yelp
Great diner. Spent the nite in Pinedale WY on our way to Yellowstone. Noticed the parking lot was packed on our way to motel. When we went in for supper we knew why. Very good home style food. I had an open faced hamburger with mashed potatoes and gravey with corn. Very well done and nothing out of a can - well maybe the corn but isn't most of it? Wife had a plate sized pancake with bacon and egg over medium - Very well done to her request. Price was fair, service friendly.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Just moved here and stopped for dinner one night, and came back for breakfast the next morning. Got the nachos for dinner- pretty good! Smothered in cheese, could've used some lettuce or something on top. For breakfast had a blueberry pancake- it was massive but very tasty! With butter and syrup and side of bacon. Definitely would come back, especially for breakfast.

Yelp
I love trying local stuff when I travel. Getting a taste of the places I go is as essential for me as buying a tee-shirt or commemorative stuffed jackalope is to others. Thus I was excited to try this local legend, touting down-home cooking and homemade pie. Mmm love me some PIE! The service was mumbley and non-committal, but I've worked in food service and thought maybe the guy had had a rough shift. No big deal. He took our orders and told us to take a trip to the salad bar. It was almost out of lettuce, and other ingredients were either gone or almost gone and nothing was fresh. Hmmph. We hunted and eventually found silverware to eat with. Not a very clean place. The entrées showed up eventually, and were not very good; frozen vegetables, dry turkey, under-seasoned mashed potatoes with over-salty obviously powdered gravy, over-cooked chicken fried steak that looked like a cheap frozen hamburger patty, fried in fish batter, with a dry baked potato. A dry, unseasoned baked potato. Who does that?! The pie had seen the inside of a refrigerator for far too long and tasted like it. And no amount of Redi-whip sprayed willy-nilly on top can cover that up. Yuck. The server couldn't be bothered to remove our dirty dishes, either. We ate dessert amongst the remains of our unpleasant entrées Extra star for the history and kitsch, but this is one legend that is resting firmly on its laurels and not trying to impress guests with product and service. Go to the brew pub down the street for that! They're concerned about what they sell.

Yelp
We've traveled from Ohio and this is by far the best place we've eaten on our trip, my wife and I split a chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich and a bacon cheeseburger, we both had fries and all was top notch!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Classic "greasy spoon" and great in all those ways! Chicken fried steak and eggs with country gravy! Yes please!

Yelp
While travelling we saw the Wrangler Cafe, plenty of cars in parking lot, so we figured it must be good for breakfast. We walk in, sit down, after about 7 mins a busboy finally hands us menus. At least another 5 mins. went by before a server approached us. Took our drink order, by then we had made up our mind what we wanted, since it was almost 10a, I asked could I get lunch, was told could order anything on menu. Hubby orders biscuits & gravy, I order a french dip. A couple walks in after we order, they get waited on fairly quickly. They eat and are out of there before we have our food. A table of 2 guys came in a few mins after the couple, sits behind us, they eat and leave before we have our food. A few mins after the 2 guys sit down, another table is seated, eats and leaves BEFORE we have or food. We are starting to get agitated, but don't want to make a scene. 45 mins. later we finally corner server and ask WTH, he states our food coming up. Another 5-7 mins goes by, he finally brings our food, and my husband's plate was WRONG, nothing close to what he ordered. Waiter states he grabbed wrong plate, be right back with right one, and yet it still took him over 5 mins to get my husband's food, and guess what?!? It was STILL wrong. At that point he said I'll eat it, don't want to wait longer. I do have to say, the meat in the french dip was tender. I will never stop here again if in the area. We were there 75-90 mins, just to get served the wrong food.
google avatar

Travis N.

Yelp
Classic Americana, I appreciated the effort to diversify the menu but must realize that all the ingredients are standard white bread, american cheese,. There are some bright spots like great bacon and good french fries. Nothing special

Sam L.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant. They make one solid burger, have quick and accurate service, and well trained staff. The atmosphere is western, the clientele comes from all walks of life and stations, and it's a great place for any meal.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Oilfield must have brought up the prices because chicken fried steaks are $18.00. Corn is bland, mashed potatoes are bland, salad bar is gross, soup is OK, chicken fried steak is good.
google avatar

Loretta W.

Yelp
Had a great breakfast here. The western omelets are excellent! My kind of place. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff and regular customers.

K O.

Yelp
The Wrangler Cafe is a breakfast staple when traveling to or from the Tetons. The environment and service is inviting, friendly, and relaxed- everything you would expect from your local hometown diner even if this isn't your hometown. Everything we've ever had has been delicious with ample portions at great prices.

Bill T.

Yelp
Super friendly staff and the food was outstanding. For breakfast I had the shredded ribeye over hash browns. The meat was tender and had a nice chipotle spice to it. If I were a local I'd have that every time I stopped in

Savanna E.

Yelp
Horrible horrible HORRIBLE service. Walked in and there were 8 people piled on top of each other, waiting to be seated, workers walking around talking with each other with their hands in their pockets. Finally got seated at a DIRTY table. Then waited 15 minutes and never even got our drinks. Others were having to go find the waiter trying to order their food. Definitely would NOT recommend to anybody.

Jonna O.

Yelp
Good grub, amazing tortillas. Not a spot for those in search of "healthy food". Awesome wait staff!
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
This place is overpriced, understaffed, and underwhelming. To call the food mediocre would be too generous. I ordered tacos which per the menu should have been in a hard shell; they were out of hard shells but offered soft shells instead. Ok, no problem. When they come to the table they are swimming in grease... So much so that the shells are orange and falling apart. To top it off the toppings are salad mix from the salad bar. The meat was burnt, almost too salty to eat, and super inundated with grease. Others in my company got burgers which were pretty mediocre. Apparently Pinedale has pretty limited options, but STEER CLEAR of this place. $80 for onion rings, 3 tacos, two burgers and fries, and one pork chop meal. There has to be better quality for this price.
google avatar

Brandon O.

Yelp
I had a chicken bacon melt and salad bar. The salad bar was a great value at $4.99. It had my favorites. The sand which was a little small and the bacon was a little tough but it was still good. Service was good. Owner was super friendly.
google avatar

Lewis R.

Yelp
Best burger we've had in fifteen days on the road. The salad bar was good, but you got to remember you're in Wyoming and the veggies aren't gonna be as good as Florida. Great service & good homemade cooking. The breakfast my son had looked amazing and my daughter and I split the wrangler burger(that was plenty) and each got a salad. The price for the meal was below $35.
google avatar

Steve J.

Yelp
Real home cooking here. Hand made burger patties, and French fries made fresh. Their mashed potatoes are made by hand, with chunks of potato in them. The roasted turkey are hand sliced. They have cherry, Apple, and rhubarb pies, all home made. Generous portions too.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
The service is very friend, good atmosphere, large portions. We were here in Pinedale over night for an event, we to stop for breakfast definitely not disappointed, would highly recommended.
