This place is amazing for so many reasons. They have amazing baked goods, cakes, and the milk is so good it’s incomparable to anything around here. I love bringing my son to see the cows and the ice cream cake is one of my faves!

When it came to planning our wedding day, an integral piece came into play: cake! We had many options in this regard, but as a lifelong Rhody native my heart was set on Wright’s. I had viewed photos of their specialty cake gallery, and was impressed by their display, but when we entered our wedding reception and saw our wedding cake we were absolutely blown away. It was gorgeously decorated with real white roses & Italian eucalyptus, with an exquisite birch bark detail; everything I had asked for yet blew my expectations away. The smell of the Italian buttercream frosting was tempting us all night, and when we finally sliced in and served each other as bride and groom, our taste buds had a party all on their own. A decadent moist yellow cake with strawberry jam filling wrapped up in that delicious frosting, AMAZING. Everyone raved over the cake, and our proprietors of the reception venue even exclaimed “When we saw Wright’s on the roster, we knew they (the bride & groom) knew what they were doing.” Thank you so much to your staff for making our special day that much more magical. When next we need an amazing cake, we’ll be choosing Wright’s!!

We used Wright's Bakery for our desserts for our wedding and we were more than happy with not only the quality and taste of the desserts but also the service. We decided to do a little something different as neither my husband or I are cake people. However, we love cinnamon rolls! The staff at Wright's Bakery (shout out to Julia who was always so quick to answer my emails!) helped us figure out how we could make our cinnamon roll dreams come true for us and our guests. They also were quick to help us make a last-minute adjustment to add in some gluten free treats for our guests. The set up was flawless and so quick! Our guests are still talking about how much they loved the cinnamon rolls seven months later to and my nephew admitted he ate three before dinner was even over (he had to be cut off until everyone was done with dinner). We cannot recommend this bakery enough! They have an option for any type of dessert plan you need or want! We will definitely be going back to get anniversary cinnamon rolls [along with all kinds of other treats :) ]

Wright’s is our go to for every celebration. We had our wedding cake done by them which was fabulous, and recently a private pilot certificate party and they really captured exactly what I was hoping to have on this special day. We appreciate their communication and flexibility to capture the essence of our cake proposal. We always get the funfetti cake which is so delicious and meaningful to us since that was our wedding cake flavor!

My son wanted a donut space cake for his 5th birthday and Wright's delivered a showstopper. 5/5 one of the best cakes I've ever had. Will absolutely be using them again for his next cake.

Our wedding cake from Wright’s was everything we wanted—simple, elegant, and absolutely delicious! We didn’t need anything over-the-top, and Wright’s understood our vision perfectly. The design was timeless and beautiful, and the flavors were out of this world. It was light, moist, and so flavorful! We also LOVE the cake tasting cupcakes that you get to bring home to try!

Spectacular cinnamon buns and hermits. Perfect in every way. Not to sweet very moist and makes my morning coffee that much better. Let's not forget the ice cream trailer. Great service and taste of the coffee flavor was above expectations. Milk very fresh smooth and creamy and egg nog in the summer....Come On!!! 5 stars all the way

This bakery offers incredibly fresh and flavorful treats — just the right balance, not overly sweet. The staff is warm and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Employees put a ton of love into their pastries. They love and care for their cows like I've never seen. Always a family feeling, welcoming you with loving smiles, pleasant hellos, and they really want to help you. They're extremely knowledgeable about their products. Delious pastries however the party pizza, spinach pies, and broccoli pies are my favorite!!

Wright's is a Rhode Island institution. A business that started selling milk back in 1914, then decided to start making desserts with the extra milk they had produced.. Nowadays, people come here for sweets and cakes to take home or to bring to friends and family. We have always had delicious treats from them and they now have gift items that can be purchased as well. Overall a great place to get sweets in rural Rhode Island.....

The mini ice cream is a decent size, and I love that they offer a mini flight (though we didn't have room after buying so many thing inside the bakery)! Will definitely return to try in the future. Tons of delectable-looking options and seems like a good place to buy host gifts. My partner was a big fan of their cheesecake and my top pick was the chocolate mousse. The staff were extremely nice and threw in a free eclair!

Best place in Rhode Island for desserts. I wouldn't recommend to go anywhere else for any big events that you have. They run and operate so smoothly and you can call and get your cake in order as soon as the next day I love the cow cake. It's absolutely delicious. I get it for all of my events. And I just love coming to this farm. Everybody is so nice besides, the smell of poop from the cows lol.

Wow, worst ever apple turnovers I have ever had, all dough and very little apple. Carrot cake, another the worst ever, dry and tasteless. Will never go her again.

Wright's Dairy Farm & Bakery has been a huge staple in RI for years and has grown their business in so many different ways and I'm HERE FOR IT ! I have been coming here since a kid and love seeing the bakery evolve each year. The bakery can get very busy especially on weekends since they're one of the best bakeries around but service is always quick and friendly. They have a massive variety of desserts and items, you really can't go wrong! Cakes, cupcakes, eclairs, pastries, bread, cookies, frosting, local honey, milks, and the list goes on. There were floral bouquets for sale right as I walked in with beautiful spring colors. They also have the infamous RI pizza strips (rectangular strip of pizza, served on a crust, topped with pizza sauce) and RI's famous coffee milk. IFYKYK! Their whipped cream is homemade, light, fluffy, creamy, and always tastes so fresh. My Go-To's are usually the strawberry shortcake, strawberry danish, M&M cookies, and eclairs. I tried their new spring limoncello cake this time around and it has a sweet thick frosting with a yummy yellow cake. I'm not a huge milk drinker but got the strawberry milk so I can make those trending Instagram Strawberry Latte's at home with my Nespresso machine...and what better Strawberry Milk to get than a fresh Wright's Dairy Farm one. It's a fun spot to take the kids since there is a farm right outside the bakery where you can see the cows. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better...they even out did themselves and added in a icecream area with outdoor seating right outside the bakery. Be sure to get a scoop before heading out!

Have been heading to Wrights for more than three decades, for a myriads of pastry and of course the milk! Nothing is fresher or better! We also for years supported children's field trips here and I love the community service and sweet spirit of this farm! Strongly recommended and pƙlease stop by spoon. You won't regret it!

A wonderfully welcoming place. The amount of items I want to leave with I would have to rent a Uhaul. Grab anything from milk to RI pizza slices. It's worth the drive from wherever you live in New England.

I have been a long time fan of this bakery and can't see myself stopping anytime soon. I recently ordered a custom cake for my daughters birthday. It was delicious and turned out beautiful. You do need to call at least 2 weeks in advance for your order to be completed in time. I had birthday cakes or celebration cakes from here growing up and I will continue to go here for all cakes for my family. They also have delicious milk. I'm partial to their coffee milk. But their prices (like everywhere) have gone up over the past year or so. I also love their chocolate chip cookies & their peanut butter cupcake was one of my favorites. You can see the cows on the property and even see the milking if you go at the right time. There's a lot offered here and it's worth the trip. You can't go wrong with any of their items!

I don't know how this place still has so many positive reviews. This place was good about 15 years ago. First off everything is disgustingly overpriced. They sell frosting shots which is about a tablespoon of frosting for $1. They're literally robbing their customers. I haven't been here in a few years so I decided to give it another try. Almost everything was sold out. How do you run a business with almost nothing to sell? It's way too small for the amount of customers that they get. It's always elbow to elbow and cramped. You would think after being open for so long they would expand. The service isn't bad but they seem to want to rush you and not want to be there themselves. I had a small list of items I wanted to get and they only had 1 of those things. I improvised and got a sampler pack which contained a cupcake, chocolate chip cookie, mnm cookie and an mnm brownie. The cupcake was disgusting, the brownie was good and the cookies weren't bad. I also got a chocolate milk which was the one thing they had on my list. It tasted like how it used to when I was a kid and is the only chocolate milk I'll drink, it's beyond amazing. Last time I was here the chocolate milk was different. I'm glad it's back to normal and is probably the only reason I'll step foot in this place again. My mom got coffee ice cream which I tried a bite of. It was good and slightly stronger than I expected but in a good way. However the texture was a bit odd, it seemed a little icy like they added water to it or something. Overall I feel like this place is worse off than the last time I was here. It's hard to give a place a good rating when they barely have anything to sell and they price gouge worse than stop and shop. I think people are stuck in the past and haven't released this place isn't even comparable to what it used to be. If you like chocolate milk you have to get some here but if not stay far away.

Cookie, Cakes, Pastries, Milk & More! This bakery is full of pies, seasonal treats, cookies, fresh milk, and custom cakes. Service was quick - you draw a number and they call your number quickly. There is also a separate counter for custom cakes (wedding cakes, etc.), and they have pre-packaged treats for those who want to grab and go. The bake shop is decorated for the season and always feel clean. It's also located on their dairy farm, so check out the cows when you stop by!

The bakery area is full of good looking treats. I tried coffee milk for the first time, their's is pretty tasty! Also took so.e ice cream home and YUM! It's fun to get to see the calfs out front too. Would go again!

Bakery items are good, and we love their ice cream sandwiches the most! But honestly we've tried the ice cream on its own 3 times now (twice at the stand, once to take home) and it has not been good. The flavors are not very strong, and a couple were freezer-burned. This past weekend we bought vanilla for a party and had to throw it away - it tasted like someone froze a quart of milk. There is no taste at all - no sugar, no vanilla bean. Disappointed for sure.

Wright's Dairy Farm & Bakery will always receive compliments when you bring pastries to a family or office party! As a former employee, I can say with certainty that this bakery cares about the quality of their product and the quality of their service. The weekends and holidays may be busy, and lines may sometimes feel intimidating, but rest assured that they are working SO hard to take your order, provide you with the best customer service experience, and get you on your way to your event or to your home to enjoy your treats! There are a few things I must recommend that I never became sick of in my 10 years of working here. The eclairs and the brownies are always my go-to and the bakery has them year-round. On the weekends, they make chocolate almond croissants that are to die for! As for my favorite seasonal item, the pumpkin roll takes the cake, but the Midnight in Venice cake comes in close second!

We had no hesitation in choosing Wright's Dairy Farm and Bakery for our wedding cake. My family has been customers for years, celebrating holidays, graduations, and now our wedding day with their cakes. The combination of a small cut cake and matching sheet cakes of the same flavors was perfect for our celebration. The process was seamless, with communication from Julianne and Becki. They were responsive, professional, and answered all our questions. The convenience of having the cake delivered right to our venue was a significant plus. We highly recommend Wright's for their top-quality cakes and exceptional service!

This 100+ year old dairy farm is amazing! I've lived nearby for many years... even before the bakery opened. The dairy products are expensive but nothing beats farm fresh milk! Now the bakery is the BEST because they use fresh ingredients and they have an overwhelming variety of products! Don't forget about their WrightsScoop ice cream Yum!

Wright's is a sweet little find in rural North Smithfield. The fact that this is a working dairy farm sets this bakery apart from the rest. Depending on when you visit, you may see the cows being milked and a strong whiff of manure is not uncommon. However, the delicious treats offered inside make up for that. From sticky pecan rolls to cinnamon twists to giant cowboy cookies, every pastry I've gotten from Wright's has been delicious. And the milk, eggs, and cream don't come any fresher. I'm a sucker for coffee milk and Wright's has some of the very best in Rhode Island. If you love ice cream, joining the annual Test Batch Club is an absolute must. For 13 weeks, you will get a pint to taste and review which helps inform their summer menu at their scoop shops. Not only is this a great marketing ploy, but it also gets me to expand my horizons and try flavors I would never typically order. A really fun and worthwhile investment for any ice cream connoisseur!

We really enjoy the pastries at Wright's Dairy. Everything is fresh. I reason I gave it four stars is that some items are overpriced. I realize that everything is expensive these days, so we limit our visits.

Fresh Milk, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Pies, Cakes And Pizza Slices!!! What More Do You Need...

We love our favorite RI bakery, especially since COVID restrictions have been lifted. Wright's was bright, clean, and crowded this morning but the pastry was worth the wait. Although the frosting drizzle was a tiny bit too thick, the Cheese Danish was fresh, delicious, and had a good amount of cream cheese filling. The pecan roll was not only covered in soft caramel and pecans; there were also pecans in the roll. We brought home a Glorious Morning muffin, lemon squares, pecan diamond, and pistachio cookies. The cream-filled pastries are the best, but we didn't get any this trip.

Shame on me for never coming here. This place is a sweet tooth's dream!!! So many delicious homemade desserts that are all affordable. I got a maple napolean ($3.25) and a peanut butter brownie bar ($3.15). Both were good, but the PB bar was on point. So chewy and rich!!

Loved that you could see the cows being milked (3-4:30pm) and they had a neat little audio tour by just calling a phone number. Their bakery was bustling but they serviced everyone really quickly. We got a cream puff and strawberry milk since we heard they were out of this world. Cream puff filling was a nice and light whipped cream that wasn't too sweet. Quite tall though and needed spoons to eat. Strawberry milk was delicious (reminded me of Quik Strawberry Milk) and colored with beet concentrate!

My husband and I got our wedding cake from here and it was so good I just had to have it for my birthday! Such great customer service, and lots of tasty treats. We also got hermits, an eclair, a strawberry shortcake square, birthday cupcake, and an M&M cookie!

This farm and bakery make for a great little trip to the "middle of nowhere" for some sweets/pastries and getting to see some cows. Bring the littles to see the cows and if you are there in the afternoon you may even get to see them being milked. They have a large selection of sweets and pastries ranging for cake slices, cupcakes, cookies, fruit bars, pies, cheesecakes and so much more! They also have rolls, bread and muffins prepackaged to grab and go. The cake slices we have tried have all been very moist and had great flavor. The onion rolls are completely stuffed with onions and so much flavor. The muffins in a two pack make it easier to get more selections and the cappuccino one was the best one I have ever had! The carrot cake was perfectly moist and just the right amount of sweet to the cream cheese frosting. They also have lots of options for whole cakes, whole cheesecakes, pies, milks and ice cream. Prices are pretty average and service was speedy.

Great spot to watch some calves hanging out, the milking process in motion and grab some sweet treats at the bakery. You can get up close and personal with the calves in their little pens outside. The milking parlor has windows for easy viewing of the all the hub bub around milking. Step inside the bakery and you'll be wowed by the amazing selection of baked goods and local treats. Take a number and be prepared to make your selections. You cannot go wrong with any of the whipped cream featured items. The inside can get pretty packed but they move very quickly and get you in and out. You can find the seasonal milk flavors in the coolers as well as some gallons and half gallons to go. Prices are not cheap but the quality is up there. Worth the trip to entertain the family and grab some goodies for the road.

I want to love it, because I love their Icecream. But the milk always tastes weird, like it has a rotten taste, and the cannoli I just paid $2 for even though it's a mini, taste like bubblegum. Why? It's just overpriced and there's so much good looking stuff there you think it's the most amazing place, but it's overpriced subpar.

I have always been so pleased with my cake orders and my recent order may have been our favorite yet! Thank you for making my daughter's Easter weekend birthday cake so beautiful and absolutely delicious!

We took a ride here (it's about a 30+ minute drive from my house) on an overcast day to see the cows and pick up some sweet treats. I'm a big fan of supporting local, family run farms and bringing home some of their tasty treats to enjoy! It had been years since I had been back to Wright's (pre-COVID) so I was excited to check things out and take a walk around the grounds. We walked through their bakery/market and filled our cart with everything from game meat jerky to cheese curds to house made coffee milk and cookies. We grabbed a number at the pastry counter and picked up a box of some of our favorites - bismarks, cream puffs, and one of everything that was in the half price "day old" case. (Pro tip: don't ignore the day old areas, the pastries are absolutely perfect and delicious and it's a great way to save some money!) At checkout, we picked up some RI Style bakery pizza strips and headed over to the sitting area to have a quick snack while looking at the baby cows and nursing/expecting cows in the buildings nearby. This space is peaceful and relaxing and they even have a self guided audio tour you can follow around the grounds just by using your cellphone.

We've been here many times, and think they are great destination for pastries, cakes, pies, dairy, and their Hermit Cookies, old fashioned molasses spiced cookie with raisins. On Saturday, we picked up a Mother's Day cake, some cannoli's and Hermits. They were very busy on this holiday weekend, we waited over half an hour for our scheduled pickup. For those who didn't order ahead, the wait was well over an hour. Here is their standard build your own cake choices, though they also offer highly customized cakes. Cake Choices: Chocolate, Yellow, Marble, or White Topping Choices: Real Whipped Cream, Traditional White Frosting, or Chocolate Frosting Filling Choices: Strawberry, Raspberry, Lemon, Cherry, Pineapple, Custard, Chocolate Pudding We ordered a white cake, with whipped cream and strawberry filling. It was very good and very light and looked great. However, most of our guests didn't like the cannoli's, so with that we agree on a four star rating and look forward to our return.

Commercial reliability, if you like bakeries don't expect much here . They have a few items they do good , and they do them good. Selection is limited to traditional favorites .

Very long overdue review of an amazing place I visit when I am in the area. We celebrated my sisters bday when I was there and this is what she wanted. This is a working dairy farm that sells the most amazing custom made cakes, cookies, pastries and flavored milk. I am not a milk drinker but the coffee and chocolate milk is so delicious. The cake we got for my sister was cow cake , it's chocolate mousse layers, chocolate cake and homemade whipped cream. It's honestly sinful and I can't wait for my next visit. When I was there it was before Covid now you can't go in. Place your orders online and they will bring to your car. I am hoping by my next visit we can go inside. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Everything is amazing here, except for the Oreo ice cream cakes that are worse than grocery store frozen cakes. Sorry guys I love everything you make and even my wedding cake, but these $40 cakes are not worthy of your name.

MooMoo! I've had desserts from Wright's over the years at various family gatherings and events, but never got the chance to visit in-person until very recently. I'm so glad I did, because where else can you dig into massive and delish homemade desserts AND make friends with the cows - a great afternoon for sure. The Bakery offers an impressive selection of cookies, cakes, pies, and other sweet surprises, but I would highly recommend anything on the menu that features the freshly whipped cream that's made with milk from the onsite dairy farm. The Strawberry Shortcake is EPIC and not to be missed - worth every single calorie! Wash it down with a glass of fresh milk (I really love their Strawberry Milk, or if you want to be a true Rhode Islander - the Coffee Milk is equally impressive), and you're good to go. The Dairy Farm is operational throughout the year, and guests can watch their team of holstein cattle in the giant barn space. The cows are so cute, and I love how you can not only taste the freshness in the product, but also see that everything is made onsite. Wright's is a bit of a haul from Newport, but if I have a free afternoon, this is one of the first places I'm heading!

An ocean of Sugar Visited Wright's today. Bought several items. One was their hermit cookies. Ugh! About 1/4 inch thick and soft and soggy, like eating raw dough. Tasted all right, but the texture was disgusting. Holding one "cookie" by its edge, the other end sagged down and finally fell off. Gonna try baking them, but I'm not optimistic. Almost as though someone forgot to add the baking powder, producing a product akin to rolled-out PlayDo. Gross!

Amazing pastries! Had them cater our wedding and holiday desserts. They have a great online ordering ahead system for the holidays so definitely take advantage of that

Absolutely disgusting that you would shoot a lost/dumped rooster!! I will never be back here. Disgusting excuse. Don't think this hasn't been reported to animal control, documented, because it has! The excuse being it was violent and no one would come pick it up. Social media is a powerful thing. You use Facebook and could of easily posted it. Disgusting. Someone was picking up the rooster that day!

Absolutely love this place! Loved how organized they are with keeping everyone in their vehicles and bringing your orders out to your car during this unprecedented time! They are doing Christmas in July through July 29th so we decided we each HAD to get a Snowman on the Beach Cupcake! A jumbo cupcake with traditional white frosting! Plus the inside of the cupcake is filled with frosting too! Soooo good and SUPER CUTE! This cupcake was packaged so well too! They do NOT skimp on packaging here!! I chose Vanilla, hubby went with Chocolate! Now let's talk about their milk. Yum! The chocolate milk was legit to die for! Soooo good and flavorful!! Their skim milk was pretty great too! We will definitely be frequenting Wright's going forward!!!

We decided to try out Wright's Dairy Farm and Bakery and this was certainly another good decision! The grounds are beautiful and very clean. During the pandemic they are offering curbside delivery only. They have over 50 spots, but they manage to get the call ahead orders in no time at all! We tried both skim and chocolate milk as well as a Christmas in July cupcake. The milk is absolutely delicious, and the cupcake, which was almost too cute to eat, tasted just as amazing as it looked. A very good dairy as well as an awesome bakery. We will certainly be back again!!!

I was a frequent customer of wrights but when I visited today I found out that they do not accept ebt anymore. They stopped accepting it from the begging of Covid. I will take my business to a farm that does accept it.

Love the atmosphere around this bakery. Has a lot of varieties of pastries. Has live stocks on the property to explore.

A MUST GO LOCATION!! Wright's Dairy Farm is so charming and the staff is very friendly. You can walk around and see cows of all ages, being well taken care of. If it is cold out, they sometimes put sweaters on the baby cows and its the cutest thing in the world. The bakery consists of every pastry/cake you could imagine. There's SO many options! I highly recommend a Zeppole, as they are locally famous for them. In the shop there is also packaged cookies/cakes/baking supplies to grab and go. Wright's also has products from other local farms/businesses. Last but not least- they have every dairy product under the sun. Milk, flavored milks (including maple?), creamers, and of course, the Rhode Island classic: Coffee milk! I tried a few flavors by getting the tiny bottles. The flavors are very strong and sweet!

I go there for the cinnamon babka that makes excellent French toast. Other items disappointing. Cinnamon donut muffins were heavily crusted in sugar on top. Cream pie crust hard and not flakey. Cream center good though. Light cream with expiration of 11/2 has already turned sour.

It's all old timey barn like!! I love it's homieness!! Depending on when you go it can be a complete hectic madhouse or it can be quiet and sedate!! You will want to but everything it all looks soooo good, and better yet it tastes good, the sticky buns are fabulous, they have the very best cheesecakes I've ever had and, well I've never had a bad dessert from here. I wish I had some pictures to share but we ate them too quickly

I came here for the opening of the ice cream shop and it was delicious! The Ice cream was awesome and the whipped cream was perfect. Everything went together so well! The only thing was the smell of cow manure that seemed to waft throughout the property, especially near the cars, but with the I've cream truck outside it was extremely noticeable. I know that it is a farm but it just seemed over powering compared to other places. The store front was little but organized so that you walk in a circle and finish at the registers. I can't wait til next ice cream season to come back but I might even come back just for some of their delicious coffee milk from the store.
