One of the best matcha spots in the city. Very tasty, great flavour. The iced strawberry had a decent amount of real fruit chunks. Pricey drinks but I’d say it’s worth it! Ambiance wise - it is takeout only, no seating available as it’s located in the back inside of a store. If there’s a wait / lineup, it helps the time pass as you can browse some interesting items, but can be confusing if you’re here for the first time.

If you’re a matcha lover or just want some quality drinks, this is the place for you. We ordered the iced blueberry matcha and cloud foam (whipped coconut) iced matcha and it was delicious. The shop is located in Kensington inside of a market. There is no seating available. The service was quick and you order via a kiosk at the front. The drinks are definitely pricey but worth it for a treat once in a while. The matcha came unsweetened but there is syrup on the side to adjust accordingly. It will be a pick me up spot whenever I am craving matcha!

Recommendation: Yuzu Matcha Tonic with Fresh Burnt Rosemary (only if you like yuzu because it overpowers the matcha) This is a very adorable cafe + store. The cafe + store idea is great because when you are waiting for your drink and after you get your drink you can shop around the store while sipping on the delicious drink. The little cafe makes high quality drinks, especially their matcha. I could tell that the staffs really make sure that each drink is as good as possible. The drinks are also really pleasing to look at. The store sells a variety of things like thrift clothes, candles, little accessories, etc. Overall a very cute cafe and store, and if I get the chance to visit Kensington Street again, I will revisit Wu Wei for sure.

cute space but honestly save your money cause the matcha wasn’t worth it at all. expensive for the size. they also accept only card. got the strawberry matcha mascarpone. couldn’t taste matcha. it was milky and the strawberry was wayyyy too sweet and sugary. overhyped in my opinion.

I love the quality of the drinks here! I am not a huge fan of matcha with strawberry but decided to try it anyway and it was actually delish. The taste was so smooth and i love the mascarpone on top. It is good to see coffee shops put actual good quality matcha powder than matcha syrup because doing so tastes more authentic. If i am on the are i will try other matcha drinks cuz i love matcha!

Their matcha menu is top tier! I really enjoyed their iced strawberry matcha! I don’t like my matcha sweet so the strawberry chunks were a perfect combo. They are a to go cafe as they are located inside a market therefore no seating available. Drinks are delicious and can’t wait to try them again.

Delicious and refreshing matcha and Hojicha lattes!! They have so many matcha drink options and you can customize them too! I love you can also do a little thrift shopping or buy from local artisans while you’re here too!

best matcha place i’ve ever had in toronto. Their coconut cloud matcha is yummy, light, fresh, earthy, i can tell its a good quality matcha powder 🫶🏻
