Very good museum with paintings. The tour is about 1 hour as max. Entrance is free.

The contemporary wing's floating staircase has exactly 108 steps - a Buddhist auspicious number. The ink painting gallery maintains 55% humidity using Ming dynasty ceramic humidifiers. Visitors often miss the rooftop garden's view of the Yangtze bridges.

gallery size is very convenient to make your visit not too long. At the same time the Museum has 3 floors for its exhibitions, so can host big exhibitions. Current exhibitions, The First Watercolors, still life painting exhibitions of China are quite diverse wirh many artists and styles. Worthy visit for sure. Last but not least, the people working at the Museum are very kind and helpful, even missing a English-speaking staff,

it's funny: like the museum, the whole nearby area is full of kitsch copies of buildings of classical European architecture. LOL

Entrance free, super crowded but worth seeing all the unearthed items.
