WunderLocke (Munich, Bavaria) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In the largely residential district of Sendling, in the southwestern corner of Munich, busy streets begin to give way to green space, and the pace of life palpably slows. This is where you’ll find WunderLocke, an apartment-style hotel — or a collection of boutique-style serviced apartments — that make a strong case for the Bavarian capital as one of the world’s most pleasantly livable places. An all-day restaurant and a fine-dining option, along with a café, wine shop, and cocktail bar help keep WunderLocke’s guests self-sufficient, while bike rentals make for easy urban exploration." - Tablet Hotels

Great stay. Easy and quick to get the weisn (Octoberfest). The coffee machine in the breakfast restaurant made great coffee. A/C worked amazingly. Delicious restaurants within walking distance. The shower and room were clean, I just never felt quite clean after a shower.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is quite new. The room had the space and amenities we needed. The upper loft is ideal for children but an adult used it during our time. Hotel is clean and in a quiet area which is about a 20 minute drive from Altstadt. We chose it because prices in main tourist areas during Oktoberfest are 2/3X the regular prices.

I was in the City Studio. So the room was fine. It was big enough I think for 2 people but as I was by myself it was great. The rooms were really quiet inside which was perfect. I liked that there was a refrigerator, and kitchenette and even a dishwasher. So I read the reviews about how the rooms were not the cleanest and room service only comes after 7 days. So I brought a hand vacuum and some light cleaning supplies so that worked out well. As other reviews have stated yes the hallway carpets look run down and definitely need to be pulled up and replaced. Also the bed definitely sags in the middle so if you have back problems or need something firm or with a box spring you will have issues! The biggest issue I had was the Air conditioning! It was extremely hot for the entire week with heat advisory warnings daily. I specifically filtered places for A/C and I read the reviews that said the Air conditioning wasn’t good at all but was hoping that maybe it was just those rooms and not every room! But alas it was not so, the air conditioning was more like a low fan, it did not cool the room down at all, it might as well have not been in the room. But because I read reviews I brought with me 2 fans that made it comfortable. That point alone has made me not consider this place for next summer when I have to come back to Munich. I think place would be really good during the winter months.

Stayed here for 3 days during my adventure in Munich for my birthday. The studio apartment was small but very practical, and even has a washing machine. The hotel itself smelled really good and the rooms were great too! They also had the most comfortable bed to sleep in, it was so hard to get up in the morning. Everything was easily accessible. Only complaint I had was I wish the showers had doors, so we didn't splatter water everywhere. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Munich.

Room was very clean and bathroom also very clean. Having a clothes washer, dishwasher and refrigerator in the room was a big plus. Not many dining options nearby. Close to train and bus station. Nearby grocery store. Reception staff very helpful. Did not partake of the breakfast so unable to review.

The rooms were spacious and very practical. The mini suite had everything we needed inside and was very clean. The hotel’s location is excellent, only a 5-minute walk to the U-Bahn. We really enjoyed our stay.

Good location for the many business around by equally good for everything which can be reached in Munich by public transport. Tube is 2 minutes, bus one minute and S Bahn 10minutes. Many decent restaurants around . Hotel itself is lift style, comfortable, good room size , nice and competent staff and has some nice extra features such as outdoor pool and rooftop bar

lovely space in terms of functionality and design! location was great too, being easily connected to the metro station.one thing to note if you drive though - free street parking is really based on luck, and the streets were mostly full during our 5 nights there. prepare to top up €15 per night parking if you don’t want to live with the uncertainty of having a parking space when you are on a holiday.overall, we enjoyed our stay in this cool hotel.
