Here you will find the ruins of the village named Wupatki, and also the visitor center for the Wupatki National Monument.
There is plenty of parking, clean restroom and a water fountain. The visitor center has a really good interactive exhibit on the history of the area and the people that called this place home.
The ruins of the village are impressive and really unique. People in the surrounding area had ceremonies there. Hence the ball court and kiva. Makes you appreciate the ineguinty of people and our will to make meaning of the natural environment that provides sustinance for existence.
It takes about 35 minutes to get here from highway 89A, that's if you don't stop to look or visit the other important locations. Worth the visit. Entrance is fre with America the Beautiful Pass.

Came for the cancellation stamp, left with a new top 5 National Monument. Basically had the park to ourselves. Enjoyed the vast views and exploring the homes and daily lives of a past culture. Visitor center was closed, however stamp collected at Sunset Crater. Please be respectful to keep this national treasure pristine for future generations

This is worth the drive from Flagstaff! Wupatki was so interesting for kids and grandparents alike. The views were expansive and stunning. But perhaps what was most intriguing were the views in so many climates as we made the drive! We would recommend entering to Wupatki off the northern entrance off 89, visiting Wupatki, and then making the circle south toward the Sunset Crater Volcano on your way out to see incredibly beautiful sites along the way! We loved the trip!

Worth to visit if you have time. We stopped here and also Sunset crater Volcano National Monument when we are driving down from Page AZ to Phoenix. Easy walk.

This Monument was a beautiful step back in time. The scattered locations of these monuments made a day of easy hiking a joy. In one day you can walk among 7 different communities that are all around the area with beautiful views of the San Francisco peaks, the north and east rim of the Grand Canyon and the Painted Desert. Spectacular way to enjoy a day of hiking

Awesome sunrise and sunset shoots at wukoki Pueblo. Great sunrise at the Wuptaki pueblo, barely any ppl here, lovely dark sky park for astrophotography, bathrooms at most Pueblos, easy walking distance to view each Pueblo.

Very cool! Glad I stopped to see it. The have it set up nicely. Even though you can on go out so far (to prevent humans from damaging it) you still can see how everything was setup and the way of life. The visitors center has a lot of information and items to buy (I got a mug).

I recommend going to the Visitor Center first prior to exploring the various pueblos. We stayed the whole day and visited all the pueblos. It was very interesting and visit can be ideally combined with a stop at the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. Most of the pueblos are well-conserved. Some of the paths are paved.
