Wyeside Arts Centre

Nearest cinema to me is 40 miles away in Hereford, so I thought there goes my chance of seeing Tron: Ares, then I find this amazing place, a relatively short 11 miles away, tucked away at the side of the beautiful River Wye, in Builth Wells. For 2 hours I was fully immersed in the magic of cinema & was able to forget about the real world. Bottle of Welsh Double Dragon Ale & I was well away. I’ll be visiting this place again & over the moon I found it.

What a great find. Nice independent cinema, comfy seats, friendly staff and the place has a warm space with free drink. What's not to like !! We visited on our little break away, would visit frequently if closer. Thoroughly recommend !

We saw Les Mis streamed live from a theatre in London, a wonderful experience which we would do again in a heartbeat. The theatre is well supported by its local community, and has a terrific, friendly vibe. We like Wyeside very much, we come here often.

First time visit to the Wyeside Arts Centre; experienced the Polish Kroke band concert. Very impressed with this venue, great raised seating layout - view of stage, acoustics, staff help etc.. Superb performance.

Really lovely little cinema. Staff were friendly and extra helpful! The screen and sound was really clear and not too loud. Not sure about parking as we were stating in the hotel over the road.

Nothing short of brilliant. We visited last night as a family to see A Minecraft Movie. A deliberate choice over an Odeon trip. So rare to find a friendly independent cinema. Brought back great feelings and childhood memories of Aberystwyth cinema back in the day. No rip off pricing, great atmosphere and a fantastic selection of food and drinks to take in with you. Obviously a lot more to offer and explore at Wyeside - we'll be doing just that, but last night was cinema and we loved it! I always stand by the saying 'people make a place' - certainly true in this case with a particular nod and thanks to the volunteers and staff that make it all possible. Well done Wyeside - keep up the great work and offerings 👏 A beautiful Wye view as we left too. Let's hope we can fix that horrible pollution mess out too!

Absolutely lovely cinema! This is my second time coming to Builth on holiday and my second time visiting this cinema and I love it. The staff are all so friendly and the cinema has a really welcoming and warm environment! I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Builth or near the area, I’ve been to lots of cinemas (being a bit of a film nerd) and this one is definitely my favourite I’ve ever visited 😊

two screens (Castel and Market) - upstairs is very good for a local cinema, however lower cinema is not great. Never been to live show so review is for cinema only. Glad it has been kept open despite risk of closure.

Amazing place for a small town. Three screen cinema and live show venue with top artists often trying out material before playing really big venues. Best for world music, comedy, and small scale drama. Fantastic atmosphere a hidden gem.
