Salmon seemed to be a grilled from a frozen- fillet. Mac and cheese could have benefitted from a sharper cheese. Green beans were delicious. Salad was bland and only have lettuce, carrot slices, and 3 tomatoes. Burger was tasty. The best option was the herb chicken. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. No reservations required, this is like a dining hall with kiosks to order food.

Just opened back up from winter, so there were no crowds (5.18.25). Nice. Cafeteria style ordering but a nice dining area with a great view of the lake. All the burgers in Yellowstone are overdone (food safety), so don't expect much. Chili was good though with fries. Not sure why people are complaining about feeding a family of 6 for $75!!!

1/5 means I do not recommend coming here ever, and I would rather skip a meal than eat here I grabbed a meal here while staying in the associated cabins. The menu consists of hotdogs and hamburgers. I got a hamburger and I genuinely couldn't taste it. It was just a block of brown mush. The cafeteria was dirty, badly lit, and desperately understaffed. This establishment was extremely below average, compared to the restaurants in other national parks such as Big Bend and Denali. The employees were doing their best, but they simply didn't have the resources required to produce decent food. The restaurant in the larger Lodge across the street is better, but they seem to be reservations-only much of the time.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! This was the most disgusting food I have ever been served. The “natural” chicken sandwich was a completely processed patty. It was so terrible I did not eat it. I was lied to and told it was a grilled chicken when I ordered. The hamburger was the size and thickness of a glass holder and was charred. The $22 herb chicken was also so small there was no way it actually came from a full size chicken. The Mac n cheese was in a white sauce with dry cheese on top. Just absolutely horrible. There are much better options 20 minutes away and worth the drive.

We had a double bison burger (western style) and the New England pot roast. Both were DELICIOUS 🤤 Good serving sizes, great quality food. Is it a little on the pricy side? Sure - but you're in the middle of Yellowstone, where it costs a ton to ship in ingredients and there is a premium associated with a tourist-heavy area, so that is to be expected. For the quality of food, which you eat while overlooking the lake from a nice lodge, the price is pretty reasonable. Also worth noting that even though there was a small issue with our order, the staff was very friendly and quick to resolve it. I have a dietary restriction, and Ethan in particular was super helpful with making sure I could find something that was safe to eat. He was very friendly and helped us have a great experience!

Nice staff and good view, but food is really disappointing Friendly young staff from all over the world and a great view—if you manage to get a table by the window. Otherwise, there’s not much to save the experience. Unfortunately, the food is really poor. Even the burger and hot dogs are disappointing. One meal I wanted something “healthy”, so I ordered the salmon dish with string beans and mac and cheese. The salmon was so dry it was honestly sad for the fish. The mac and cheese? Also dry and completely tasteless. The beans don’t even deserve a comment. If you’re going to offer a small menu—which is totally fine—then at least make sure every dish is done well. It really shouldn’t be that hard, even if it’s just a canteen.

Even if the place is beautiful and kind of well kept, it is dirty. Needs a major cleaning especially in the restaurant area

Had our bill been under $50 to feed my family (with four kids) this would have been a five-star review. However, given that it was $75, it's only four - too pricey! That said, the burgers were good, as were the fries. The atmosphere was that of a cafeteria - slightly chaotic, put in your order and pick up you food when your number is called. Self-service drinks meant that the kids got their fill of orange soda and Sprite. As we were in Yellowstone late that day, the key was that they were open later than most other restaurants and relatively close to where we were touring. The lodge itself is magnificent and the sunset view from the front porch was amazing!
