The Best Turks and Caicos Resorts of 2024

"As the name suggests, Wymara Resort + Villas provides guests with two options upon booking. They can either reserve a classic, beachy-minimalist oceanfront studio or suite at the resort, or up the ante by staying in one of the extra-private one-, four-, or five-bedroom villas that sit just 8 minutes away from the main resort. No matter the final choice, they can enjoy all the amenities that this 2021 World’s Best Awards-winning property offers — including, but not limited to, complimentary equipment rentals, daily breakfast, and chaise lounges by the beach and pool." - Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel is a freelance writer with over eight years of experience editing and writing for both brands and online publications—with a particular focus on travel, fashion, and lifestyle. "Gansevoort Turks + Caicos Gansevoort Turks + Caicos aims to be as much a scene as it is a hotel. Of course, with tots wandering through the lobby with sand buckets, it isn’t quite the party you might have in South Beach or NYC. But then, trendy urbanites don’t have this—the white-sand beach of Grace Bay, or an infinity pool with wood-deck islands that can be reserved for sunbathing, private dining, or just making everyone else feel less important. The 91 rooms are designer chic, with an open floor plan and plenty of space to stretch out. Also available for booking are seven luxury oceanfront villas, located on an elevated hillside overlooking the bay and Turtle Tail. Each features four to five bedrooms as well as two private pools, expansive indoor-outdoor living areas, sunken outdoor lounge areas with firepits, and over-the-water swimming platforms with direct ocean access. Stelle, the Mediterranean-influenced restaurant, has a DJ who spins on Friday nights. And Exhale Spa counterbalances the chill party vibe with sunset yoga in an outdoor pavilion."

From the moment we arrived for our honeymoon we were greeted by friendly staff and given a welcome drink. Check-in was smooth and they gave us a quick tour of the resort and our room, which was a really nice touch. The room was modern, clean, and extremely comfortable. This is a true 5 star resort. Every staff member we met was friendly, and the food is exceptionally good along with the drinks. Seriously, everything on the menu is amazing. Our favorites were the crispy fish tacos, the pepperoni pizza, and the lobster spring rolls. I will say the food and drinks are a little pricy so just make sure that is something you factor in. You get what you pay for and the quality definitely matches the cost. We also had a wonderful couples massage that was very relaxing with great masseuses. The beach is quiet and peaceful unlike other resorts we saw, and the beach bar stays open until midnight. We would absolutely stay here again. It was such a perfect honeymoon experience. This is a great resort for couples and I personally wouldn’t come here with kids.

The great location, views from the rooms but most importantly the great staff make this property a special place to visit. It’s a little confusing on the websites but the villas are a separate property 5 or 10 minutes away. It’s definitely worth the trip over there in the complimentary shuttle for happy hour cocktails, a spectacular sunset and a nice meal at “Land and Sea” restaurant. The complimentary wellness classes are great, we tried the sound bath, yoga, Pilates, meditation, HIIT. Deep, the yoga, meditation and sound bath expert did a really good job. We were greeted on arrival by Arienne the concierge who was super friendly and took some great photos of us during our stay. Zion took great care of us on the beach. Make sure to look out for Oki at breakfast and ask him for the ginger shot ! It definitely wakes you up ! As a note for the whole island it’s worth taking plenty of dollar bills as it was almost impossible to break any large notes anywhere as lots of properties have gone cashless. Wymara is on an amazing beach that you can walk forever on.its really worth taking the snorkel gear and walking right to the coral garden reef or left (30 mins walk) to the much bigger smiths reef where we saw some great fish and turtles. It doesn’t compare to the Maldives but it’s pretty nice to walk off the beach at the Wymara and be able to see so much sea life.

Unbelievable experience from the second we walked in to the second we walked out. This hotel is 5 star across the board. From the beauty of the hotel, the cleanliness and the hospitality and customer service from the staff it was amazing. Arienne in particular who works in the welcome area of the hotel really went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I had an amazing experience. She greeted us so warmly as soon as we arrived and made sure our experince was the best imaginable. Arienne is a truly special person who has a bright future and deserves are raise immediately because she is truly an asset to Wymara. We cannot wait to be back in Turks and we will absolutely be coming back to Wymara!

Wymara Resort is pure Grace Bay perfection. The sleek, modern design paired with genuinely warm, attentive staff makes you feel spoiled from the moment you arrive. Service is effortless yet personal, everyone remembers your name and your favorite drink without ever feeling intrusive. Cocktails are outstanding, the beach is impeccably maintained, and the overall vibe is relaxed barefoot luxury at its finest. Wymara isn’t just a beautiful resort; it’s the kind of place that turns a vacation into memories you’ll replay forever. Hands-down one of the best properties on Turks & Caicos! 🌊✨

I’ll give it the full 5 stars because 6 out of the 7 nights we stayed were perfect. However, it was disappointing that they painted in our room in the middle of they day when we were at the beach the day before we left and the smell was very very strong to the point where we barely got any sleep. Not sure why they didn’t wait to paint after we checked out the day after. Being that it was our last night I didn’t say anything but felt the need to share on this review for future projects. The staff was absolutely fantastic!! We really enjoyed Timothy as our server for breakfast. We also enjoyed Aaron and Andres (I think this was his name) at the beach service. All in all great time for my wife and I!

I only have positive reviews for this hotel. The property was well maintained and the staff was very attentive and friendly. From the time we stepped on the property, we were well taken care of and made to feel special. We were treated to treats in our room, but more importantly, a hand written note from the manager. The faucet in our room was leaking and it was addressed immediately. My husband LOVED the welcome drink so much that Georgia, front desk staff, surprised him with a bottle being sent to our room. Yeson, I might have spelled it wrong, at Blue Water bistro was a fantastic waitor. Janette in the hotel store was exceptional, I felt like I was talking to a friend. I forgot the name of the gentlemen from Mexico that assisted us on the beach, superb. The male manager that gave us a discount upon checkout for an inconvenience that was out of their control, Turks and Caicos has a lot of flies. When I say EVERYONE was great, I am not exaggerating. We even received a goodbye card at our last breakfast before checkout. I highly recommend this hotel

We came to Wymara on our honeymoon and were blown away by the service, the rooms, and the attention to detail. Everyone who worked there was extremely attentive and polite. It was a joy to spend time there. Even in the low season, it was beautiful! It’s a quick taxi ride to other local restaurants and resorts. Highly recommend spending a day at the beach club at the villas. The resort was spotless and staff were constantly around to support in any way possible. Breakfast every day was included and delicious. Drinks and other meals were all great!

Wymara delivers an overall good experience—but not a great one.||Pros|• Stunning beach — truly world-class sand and water|• Spacious, modern rooms|• Compact, easy-to-navigate property|• Food quality is solid||Cons / Opportunities for Improvement|• Transportation — A $20 one-way taxi for 1 mile to Grace Bay feels excessive; a complimentary shuttle would go a long way|• Atmosphere — The resort leans on the sleepy side. A dedicated espresso/coffee bar or live music in the evenings would add needed energy|• Limited dining options — Another casual, light-fare restaurant would be appreciated||Overall Impression|I enjoyed my stay—but I don’t see myself returning. There was no real wow factor, especially at a price point north of $1,000/night. I also prefer a location where it’s safe and easy to walk off property and explore.||If you’re accustomed to Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons-level service, you’ll immediately notice the difference.||With Le Blanc opening in 2027 (also all-inclusive), competition is about to get very real. To stay competitive, Wymara will need to level up across multiple areas. In a market evolving quickly, being merely good simply won’t be enough.
