"There's a little bit of everything at this mid-size all-inclusive resort, which is located a block off of the Fifth Avenue pedestrian mall in the center of Playa Del Carmen. Despite being in the heart of town, there is a small beach here (it sustained hurricane damage and erosion.) Other highlights include a rooftop sushi bar, a serene spa, and a large pool area. If you're looking for a vivacious time, don't miss the wild weekly foam party on Saturday nights—and really any show hosted around the pool. And if you're not, there's plenty of chill vibes to be found throughout the resort."

My daughter and I stayed here for four days over our birthday. The resort is in an excellent location. We had a beautifully clean room that walked out to the ocean. The beach is small and yes, there is seaweed. The sound of the ocean is lovely, and they kept the beach area very clean. The pools are fantastic! The service is really good. Everyone was very helpful and finding someone to assist with an issue was easy. The best part was the food. It was really, really good. Always fresh and we never had an issue waiting to eat or make a reservation. We both loved our stay here and I would recommend it to anyone. Everyone at the resort was having a good time and expressed happiness!

All the staff is amazing. Very helpful, attentive and kind. Jesus serving the main pool area is a hard worker with a smile on his face. The food is average, but all eateries are clean with nice decor. Suite was nice. Resort cleanliness well maintained. Lovely Spa & workout room. The smell from the beach in despair is suffocatingly horrible in 90 degree weather.

We recently stayed at what was advertised as a “mature adult only” Wyndham luxury resort in Playa del Carmen, expecting the same level of tranquility and refinement we've experienced at other Wyndham properties in the U.S. Unfortunately, this location fell drastically short. Instead of a serene, upscale retreat, we found ourselves in what felt more like a weekend nightclub. The lobby music blared well into the late hours—completely at odds with the promise of a peaceful adult-only environment. It was not background ambiance—it was overbearing and disruptive, making it hard to relax, let alone sleep. We chose this resort for its supposed luxury and adult-oriented atmosphere, and we spent a significant amount of money to enjoy that. What we got was loud, chaotic, and more suited to a spring break crowd than mature guests seeking a premium experience. Wyndham has a reputation for excellence, which is why we booked here in the first place. Sadly, that reputation was not upheld at this location. If you're looking for a calm, mature, and luxurious experience, this is not it. We hope this helps others avoid the disappointment we experienced. Our advice: do your research carefully, and maybe steer clear of this one if you're looking for true relaxation.

The best part about this hotel is the staff. Everyone was super friendly, super energetic and helpful. David, the leader of their entertainment team was spectacular. He was super high energy, a great host for all the event the hotel had to offer, 10/10!! He did a great job inviting people to participate and made the experience so much better! The rooms were kept up to date and cleaned often! The area has a plaza where you can buy all sorts of stuff and it’s only like 2 blocks away from the hotel. The serving staff was always walking around making sure everyone was taken care of.

This resort was exactly what I was anticipating. Therapeutic and enjoyable. The staff is amazing and the room was very clean and maintained with refreshments restocked.Thank you Beatrice for your hospitality! Many thanks to Juan at the front entrance and Sebastian at the bar. Pizza and sweet treats were delicious. Location was a plus with easy access to shopping and restaurants. Room had beautiful ocean view, did not want to end vacation and return to reality!!

My wife and I had a wonderful time with our friends at the Wyndham Alltra. First of all, the staff was incredible, they were always available and willing to help and answer any questions we had. Our room was amazing and it was maintained and cleaned every day. The food at the restaurants and the buffet was always fresh and there was a ton of variety for us to choose from. There’s no immediate beach access at this resort, but the pool is excellent and you can take a short walk to a public beach area. The resort’s proximity to the Main Street is a bonus if you want to venture out to see some live music, dancing, or check out one of the hundreds of other restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this resort.

The resort was wonderful. The staff are all very friendly and happy all the time. The room was nice and spacious with a nice view of the ocean, nice hot shower and cool room. The food was good. There is no beach and lots of seaweed. The spa was great. We would come back if there were a beach. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation

This resort is just ok. The smell at the main pool is incredibly off putting. I know they say the smell is from seaweed but it smells like straight up sewage. Huge con. The smell also permeates the main floor where the lobby is. ||Pros:|- the room was clean, however I don't know that house keeping mops/sweeps during the stay because we tracked sand into the room and it was not cleaned |- there are plenty of pillows on the bed |- the 400 and 500 level rooms are by a different, smaller pool which is nice, and didn't smell. There were also lots of loungers available by this pool. |- the activities were fun. Katya was great. The DJ at night was great|- the hotel is steps away from the city and the beach (although the beach isn't well maintained and there was a lot of seaweed).|- there are many shops and little drug stores locally. ||Cons|- I didn't find the bed to be the most comfortable, a little firm and found my back to hurt after the second night|- dinner at the restaurants took an absorbitant amount of time. We waited for our food for an hour at the Italian restaurant and my food came out not quite cold but certainly not hot and was just ok. |- all of the food was just ok. I recommend skipping the restaurants and just eating at the buffet. There's more options and you might find something you like. There was a beef dish that I liked quite a bit at the buffet. |- the drinks are watered down and taste artificial. Stick to wine or beer and not mixed drinks. |- the main pool had lots of people "reserving" loungers and not using them. Not that we stayed there long because of the smell. |- the room was not the coldest, and I found myself just sleeping under the sheet and no blankets. ||I don't know how much we paid for this resort because it was a package with us staying 3 nights here and 3 nights at a different resort (which was incredible). So I can't tell you if it was a good deal or not. I would go back, with tempered expectations, and want to stay near the smaller pool. There was also a little coffee/pastry shop with ice cream, the ice cream wasn't very good. (Also, I got steak at the grill restaurant and I think it made me sick. It was a very very thick cut of some type of roast, I asked for medium rare (my mistake) but the middle was definitely raw. Don't be like me. Order one step up than you do in the states )
