I do not know how this place has good reviews. The 2 bed rooms are very small. I asked about room service, they said they had it, they didn't. The mini shampoo and conditioner bottles in the rooms are filled up from a larger container. Ours had shampoo all over the outside of the bottle. The $15 breakfast consist of the usual waffles that were good (DIY), pancakes (DIY) apples, muffins, yogurts. Not bad. The coffee machine that has pictures of a lot of great drinks you think you can have serves only coffee. For an extra $5 you can get fake eggs and 2 sausage. We did meet one very nice guy working at the bar on the 2-12-25. I believe he was filling in for someone else. He was the best thing about this whole experience. Very pleasant young man and very knowledgeable about the neighborhood. I will not stay here again and how they are keeping that 1 employee is beyond me. Please don't waste your money. It's not like the pictures. Our view.

I recently stayed at the Wyndham Hotel in Brooklyn Sunset, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The location is perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to public transportation and great local dining options.||The rooms were spotless, modern, and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel facilities were excellent, and the breakfast options were fantastic, offering a variety of choices to start the day right.||A special shoutout to Anthony and Yousef, who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Their hospitality, professionalism, and friendly demeanor truly stood out. Whether it was helping with recommendations or ensuring every detail of my stay was perfect, they made all the difference.||I highly recommend the Wyndham Brooklyn Sunset for anyone visiting the area. It’s not just a hotel—it’s an experience, thanks to the amazing team and top-notch amenities.||Looking forward to my next stay!||Does this reflect what you had in mind?

Convenient location about a 7-minute walk from 36th St. subway, which has an easy connection to Manhattan. Clean, up-to-date rooms, albeit a little small. Had a great view of the skyline from 5th floor. Courteous service and quick check-out process. My only main complaint was that the walls are a bit thin, I could hear a good bit of noise from the hallway. Other than that, would definitely recommend if you're staying in this area.

Hotel Mgr Youcef was pleasant and accommodating upon arrival. Offered a room upgrade upon our somewhat early arrival due to room availability. Staff tweaked the air conditioning unit to our needs, thank you! Bed was extremely comfortable and cleaning service was spot on! Bartender gave us good local recommendations. The staff conveniently stored our luggage on departure day to enjoy the day out.

Everyone from GM Anthony to the restaurant server who took care of me on the 24th in the morning were just absolutely amazing. Friendly service. Room was immaculate. Hallways super clean and the elevator spotless and always smelling clean. Had the best time here will recommend and return hopefully soon.

We will never stay here again. Aurora was extremely rude. My wife and I decided to stay at this hotel since we were celebrating our anniversary I asked Aurora to explain the menu items to us she just shrugged and told out to go see the items that were set out with a rude attitude she made us feel as if we were bothering her, we decided to instead go to a diner close by instead. We decided to check out a couple of days earlier and went to a different hotel where their service was much more welcoming and friendly

I don’t write many reviews, but had to put out a quick one for this little gem of a hotel. I wasn’t expecting it to be what it was, given the price that I paid, however, it was so much more. The rooms are modern and clean. The glass bathroom was beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. When we woke up there was a breakfast area that I had at first thought would be just a basic grab and go type situation, but there is an attendant there that made us fresh eggs and bacon. Overall I give this hotel 10 out of 10.

We stayed here for one night in early December. The hotel was clean and well located, with friendly staff.|Youcef in particular was great. He was the only person on reception when I checked in but he calmly and swiftly attended to multiple requests from other guests (additional towels, food orders etc) whilst simultaneously sorting out some complications with my check-in. Great service, and he recommended a great Mexican restaurant down the road for dinner!

Yelp
For Brooklyn, this hotel was located in a decent area. I stayed out here when I was in town to run a NYRR race over in Central Park. That wasn't a problem as it was conveniently located only a few blocks from the MTA 36 St station. It was certainly cheaper than trying to find an affordable place in Manhattan. There was a lot of good food options over at the Industry City just west of 3rd Ave. If you love Japanese food, be sure to check out the Japan Village. Even though check-in time was at 3 pm, my room was not ready at 4 pm. When I was finally checked into my room, I found everything in my room to be clean and in good working order. There was no complimentary breakfast here. That wasn't a problem for me as I had bought snacks and drinks at the Sunrise Mart.

Yelp
Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced! Stayed here for four nights and everything was wonderful. Staff are attentive and kind. Youcef was AMAZING, so helpful and friendly. Absolutely would stay again if I am in the area!

Yelp
Helpful staff, in my experience. If you can find them. But the location isn't the greatest. Close to nice restaurants but you'd be awakened by cars honking and people shouting every morning. Room is.. decent. It's definitely a tired old hotel. Wtf is an "environmental fee" anyway, I mean they're already not cleaning my sheets and towels everyday. I feel like I'm paying them for the privilege of not having fresh sheets and towels? $40 parking fee per day if you have a car. Not a bad stay, not a good stay. Just a solid meh.

Yelp
My review is based on my personal experience. My son and I chose to stay here because it was the best choice for us due to renovations taking place in our apartment. Yes, the rooms did look larger when I checked out the hotel online before coming but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. However, if a single person is staying in the room, you can manage. It isn't that bad. My room was immaculate when I checked in. I thoroughly checked and sprayed everything down with Lysol. The rooms have PLENTY of storage space, closet and drawers to store your clothings if you want. Our rooms both have flat screen TVs, refrigerators and there is also a safe in the closet. Plenty of lighting and a large window which I love. My son and I had no problems with either of our rooms. Our favorite parts of the room were the king size beds and the large shower. There are plenty of food options around this neighborhood. Sunset Park is about a few blocks away and is beautiful. Train stations are within walking distance which is cool. The only two downsides to staying here is the parking fee of almost $45 is charged to hotel guests to park their vehicles which I didn't like. There is also a charge to get breakfast. It is cheaper to purchase something outside. I would definitely come back to Wyndham Garden Sunset Park.

Yelp
I've been spending money on with him for the last five years on the Amex customer and I book with them for my extra points. The one in Sunset Park particularly is very rude and poorly managed. I waited in the lobby for almost an hour and a half to get a new key and he insisted that people who came after me go before me when I've already been checked into the hotel without an ID he goes and says that it's against our safety protocol if that was what he was concerned about in the first place I would've never gotten the key. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. He didn't even know how to figure out the reservations that were for tomorrow and change them over today for a group of maybe 50 foreigners how do you not know that? Or why don't you have other people here if you know lts a busy night

Yelp
Enjoyed my recent stay for a friend's wedding and despite brief (1 night), will easily recommend/return.   I opted for a "City View" room when initially booking and while on just the 5th floor, am glad I paid extra for it. Said room came complete with a mini fridge, flat screen, coffee/tea maker, solid WiFi and a hot shower (be patient, it'll get there). Heating my room was a challenge, however I am thankful for the concierge with their assistance with maintenance/thermostat.      Location is a brief walk between two stations (45 St/36St), plenty of food options (both local/fast) and COSTCO! Yes, Costco. IYKYK Edwin and the greater Wyndham team are what made my stay memorable, and I cannot be more appreciative for their customer service.

Yelp
As promised, this was my second stay. Again I was pleased overall -- this time I didn't have an accessible room but it was fine. I wish hotels put grab bars in all rooms, not just "accessible ", but they don't. Housekeeping was better this time, no real glitches. The TV remote didn't work -- it probably just needed new batteries. Maybe housekeepers should check the remotes as this seems a frequent problem. I stayed on the fourth and fifth floors overlooking the street and had absolutely no problem with noise. I'll be back yet again. Sure do wish they'd fix the breakfast situation, though. BTW, there is a bakery right at the 5th Ave bus stop and the have excellent croissants.

Kyah M.

Yelp
if I could give zero stars I absolutely. Terrible staff, unclean rooms, this is not a 4 star hotel in any universe. Not only could we not get a check in an hour early, our room took 2 additional hours past check in to be ready and it was dirty just drenched in bleach. THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT EITHER INCONVENIENCE. Our card was over charged $1,300 how is that even possible??? They again did nothing for the inconvenience. Manager Anthony and Tyler are very unhelpful, poor customer service, and do not know how to bill and charge correctly. I wish I had pictures of the room condition, but I don't keep ugly things in my phone. The hotel is typically cheap, but we went on a holiday weekend and spent a good amount of money. For the experience 100% not worth it. Spend the extra money and book in manhattan to get the experience you deserve. We usually do, don't change what isn't broken lol.

Yelp
so--my family and I were placed here by NYCHA due to the removal of lead from our apartment. Wyndham was advertised as being pet friendly and because we did not want to leave our dog in a shelter we were sent there. we stayed for about four weeks and grew to know the staff and area well. Wyndham does not seem to have a sense of empathy at all. while there, we were forced to pay an outrageous amount for parking, several hundred dollars worth. my elderly father had no other choice to pay on account of him using a cane post-heart attack. about three days into our stay there were complaints about our dog named Sunday, a young chihuahua with a history of being abused who is prone to anxious barking which was obviously exasperated by the unfamiliar and cramped environment. we were told that if she did not stop barking we would have be forced to leave. this would mean we would be homeless. thus, we had no choice but to leave Sunday in a shelter gracious enough to take her in with the risk that she might be adopted before we left the hotel. in the end, she was adopted a week after we dropped her off. Wyndham took our dog away from us and grinned while doing so. the staff--with the exception of Elmer who was always nice, the bartender Josh whose secret menu was well crafted and delicious, and the beautiful, reliable housekeepers--were off putting and strange, almost like robots. there is no complimentary breakfast here. a drunk couple moved onto our floor right before we left, shouting at night. my father found a roach in his room. but there were a couple of redeeming factors to our stay; the views from the rooms are stunning and I indulged in the free coffee and cookies when offered. despite the heartbreak induced by Wyndham, despite the retarded fees and despite the weird front desk staff, I am, in the end, grateful to have had a place to stay at all. thank you, Wyndham.

Yelp
I have stayed here for many years, often with my sisters, son and daughter. I recently stayed here on November 30, 2023 until December 4, 2023. I had 2 rooms for my Daughter and myself. Upon checking out we were each charged more than $2000.00 for 4 nights. When I realized this, I was told by phone, "This was the rate you booked, so it's the rate you paid". Their usual rate is around $180.00 per night. We paid almost $500.00 per night. I am beyond disappointed and upset and will never stay there again.

Yelp
Wyndham is making a big mistake if they think they will attract customers with their name attached to this hovel. The room we had for our three-day stay was small; but that was not the issue. The mini fridge in the room was broken and a request to fix it seemed to require a maintenance person from an outside company to come in and take care of it; his/her supposed arrival would be the afternoon of the day we checked it. We didn't see anybody for the three days we were there. The TV could not function and when a hotel employee came to check on it, he found the TV needed a replacement remote. We were duly given another remote, which didn't work with the TV. We also had a broken toilet seat (literally one side of it had broken away from the toilet). We saw no point in reporting it as the previous two items hadn't been addressed and figured we'd be wasting our time. The hotel adds charges to the bill that are not declared when you book the room. It appears every time you get something in the restaurant (even if you only get a cup of coffee out of the vending machine that is there); you pay a gratuity fee. Now I am a good tipper. The restaurant only had one person working whenever we were there, who did the cooking, serving, and bussing. I gave a $20 tip regardless of what we ordered simply for the fact she was working so hard. But that is not the issue, is it? If I had known there was an automatic tip, I may have thought twice. Then, there is an environmental fee - for what, we don't know. Then, there is hotel unit fee - whatever that is. The hotel generally is not exactly clean, with trash cans left full for way longer than they should be. Despite requesting room service for the days, we were there, we still had to follow up twice to get it. In a nutshell, Wyndham is definitely off our list of places to spend our money again.

Yelp
I booked through the Benefit Hub for employees of American Airlines and thought I would be getting a deal. Since it was Easter weekend, bookings everywhere were inflated. We wanted to be in Brooklyn for an off-Broadway show near-by. We pre-paid $538 for 2 nights at this hotel and we were very disappointed that we were given a room on the lower level with a view of the parking lot. The room was clean and modern but extremely small. Also the TV did not work. There was NO PICTURE at all; just audio and it would not even turn off. Since we arrived after 10 pm the first night there was no way to fix it; and we were too busy the next day to deal with it. I mentioned it to the front desk staff twice and they offered to send a maintenance man into the room, but that seemed too awkward as it was me and my 25 yr old daughter alone in the room. I asked if we could please have breakfast comped for the inconvenience, but they said no. Later I asked one of the nicer ladies working in the cafe and she gave us a complimentary HOT TEA. Geez, thanks! I want to warn others that if you stay at this hotel, lower your expectations and expect to pay top dollar with not much amenities. The wifi worked atleast. Oh - and the water pressure was GREAT and nice hot water. Other than that I felt terribly ripped off. The normal rate without a holiday weekend is $188 per night directly through Wyndham.

Yelp
When I go to a hotel I look for: 1. Cleanliness 2. Friendly staff 3. To feel comfortable Unfortunately, all the above is lacking. I booked this hotel because online it looks good. It appears to be spacious but that's just an illusion. On arrival I was harrassed by a young lady who kept offering me money to take her home. When I kept telling her no, she said fine I'll get a taxi. Great move. As far as the hotel goes. 1. The room is very small. It's more suitable for 1 person. 2. The toilet started over flowing and that was after 1 flush. 3. The curtains were burnt and dirty. 4. The carpet had stains. I could keep going but why bother. Spend the extra cash and get a better hotel because this was a step up from a motel.

Edan D.

Yelp
The staff here was extremely nice and professional. We had an issue with the room we checked in with bedding and stopped up sink. They dealt with this IMMEDIATELY. We would stay again.

Kaveda J.

Yelp
The hotel itself isn't really modernized or feels like it's been taken care of. Which is unfortunate because if it was, I feel like this would be a nice place to stay. Location wise, it's great. There's a cute bar down the street and plenty of food spots to check out nearby. The staff here are also nice and attentive. Our room, along with the rest of the hotel, didn't give off vibes of being cared floor. The floor of the shower is yellowed badly and peeling. The room is a little small and appears quite large in the photos. Be prepared for a slightly cramped space. Thanks to the staff, I give this place a 3 when it would probably be a 2.

John M.

Yelp
I'd like to start by saying I don't usually write reviews like this. I don't write reviews at all. I think negative reviews are reserved for the lonely who take their anger out on Korean restaurants instead of texting their fathers. But i wish I read this one before I stayed. My experience was one of the worst I've ever had at a hotel. It was ugly, dirty and charmless. Now most hotels can be pretty charmless but this one felt like a haunted house so gross the ghosts left. I wouldn't have stayed here on my own dime but I was on a company trip and whoever organized the event clearly hates us. The shower not only never got hot but barely warm and was cold within two minutes. No card security on the elevator so that means it's accessible to whomever would like to stroll in. And in this part of Brooklyn is so disgusting it makes Gotham look like Malibu. There are multiple wallpapered walls each uglier than the next. I know - who cares about wallpaper, right? I didn't know I ever would until I was in this moldy fish tank. And Wyndham, please spare me the copy and paste "we're sorry to hear your stay was unpleasant. We hope that in the future blah blah." This isn't a random fluke that's surprising. I would have rather slept on the A train than in the "premium room" that felt like someone put a mattress in a McDonald's bathroom. But I'm trying to be positive. The Wyndham may be perfect for you if: - You need a place to bring a prostitute - you're booking a hotel room for an in law you don't want visiting again. - you already have another hotel room booked but want a separate toilet for number twos. Bottom line: stay somewhere else for now. Maybe by next year the Wyndham will have changed. I'll be rooting for them from a Hampton inn.

Kathy L.

Yelp
We stayed for two nights for a NYC getaway, and chose to stay here because it was more affordable than staying right in Manhattan, and it was a close walk to the train. The photos were definitely misleading. Our room was tiny. There was an unnecessarily large empty wardrobe and a huge bathroom with a glass door that took up most of the space, leaving little room to navigate around the bed. The "city view" from our 6th floor was of some sort of laundry company and gritty looking buildings. There was a stain on our sheets. There was no extra blanket and we were freezing the first night. We had the heat turned on but it seemed to be blowing cold air. There were no water bottles in the room. The restaurant/bar was closed because it wasn't a weekend, and we were nervous about venturing too far out into the neighborhood after dark because it did not appear safe. We did eventually discover Industry City, which was a few blocks away and had some good eateries. The front desk staff were friendly and polite. However, I would not stay here again.

Joseph K.

Yelp
I chose Wyndham Brooklyn 39th St. due to its closeness to Port Liberty NJ for our 1st cruise the next day. But, I found out upon arrival that their website is totally "MISLEADING!" The hotel website photos are taken at such angles which would lead one to believe it was "SPACIOUS" in all common areas and the room. The website advertised a "Bar & Upscale Restaurant" which has been closed since "Pre-Pandemic". The hotel failed to remove unique selling points from the website & signage in the common areas concerning these shortcomings. Since it's been over "3 YEARS" and they still haven't removed the amenities that currently don't exit, I'd have to call this a "Bait & Switch" or also known as "Faking the Funk" in Brooklyn. Positives - nice check'in/out and Military discount. They need to cleanup their act and stop false advertising on the website.

Taylor V.

Yelp
I am a traveler coming from Philadelphia, PA. Second time staying at a Brooklyn hotel. This time is a different hotel. The Wyndham At Sunset Park was really nice. At least for me as an out of towner. The room looked very similar of not exactly like the pictures I viewed online. I knew it would be a bit small, and it was but it was perfect for the night. The Staff at the front seat was very polite and helpful when I called ahead to ask about their parking and if they charge or not. They do charge about $30 plus tax for a parking spot. As they check every hour who's parked in their spots available in the front of the building. When I checked in I did have to register my other guest that was staying with me just their first and last name and phone number. Easy check in. I asked when was check out and she noted 12pm. Went up to my room on the elevator. The hallways are nice and clean and pleasant. Although they said the rooms are non smoking it did kind of wreak of smoke when I got closer to my room. Kind of smelled like it came from another room next to mine. Idk what that's about but it wasn't that bad for me to choose to report it. The room was beautiful, clean and welcoming. The bed amazing, soft and the pillows super soft! I slept so well in the king sized bed! The window is very large almost to the ceiling and almost to the floor. Privacy/black out curtains and a coffee maker (I don't drink coffee). The room was equipped with many outlets so if you have electronics or what ever you can charge up and have outlets. The bathroom was clean and the toilet was clean too. The water in the shower was nice and hot and felt good even at a warm temperature. Although the water dripped out on the floor a little so be careful not to slip. Maybe they should put skids. The mirrors in the bathroom are amazing and the wall and door between the bathroom and the room is frosted glass. Gave the room a very nice luxurious and modern look. The shower was a stand up shower, no tub, and big enough for two. The towels were nice and fresh and comfy when you use them. There was an a obnoxious noise coming from the vents sounded like a rhythmic rumbling sound as of a big heavy truck was coming down the block but it wasn't. It was a little annoying and hard to get to sleep because of it. The sound was coming out of the vent. Oh yea, there is a thermostat right at the door to control your temperature. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again should I be in the area again. Lastly ONLY problem I had was that the remote to the tv didn't work and kept blinking and wouldn't let me change the channel from the news or anything. But the nice lady at the front brought us a new one to exchange.

Ray F.

Yelp
If you enjoy rude front desk staff and cold showers this place is a must. Rooms are decently clean.

Kevin M.

Yelp
I checked in around 8:30pm and the desk clerk asked to see my photo I.D. Then he asked to see photo I.D. for my 14-year-old son. My son doesn't travel with a photo I.D., I explained. The clerk said he would not be allowed upstairs. No one is allowed in without photo I.D. This was news to me. We went upstairs temporarily, just to find a new place to stay. I tried to look up some kind of online I.D. for my son -- nothing was available. I contacted friends and family but couldn't find a place we could stay for the night. The other hotels were fully booked or grossly overpriced. Finally we decided my son would be a stow-away in the room I had paid $300 for. We were stressed. And we had to cancel our evening plans for fear of not being let back into the room. The morning desk clerk clarified that anyone under 18 doesn't need to show I.D. Too late for that! The night man was adamant! A rude guy who misunderstood the policy ruined our visit.

Yelp
Stayed here recently for a few days and would come back. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but that wasn't an issue..they added a partial wall mirror that helped make the room seem bigger. The room had a Euro design, which added to its charm (including a frosted door for the bathroom..More important--the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the pillows ..this was a 4 block walk to the subway, which was very convenient. Parking is limited --there are spaces in the front and back of the hotel. We didn't have a parking issue; there is an extra cost for parking. The bar is closed since covid . They offer breakfast (cost not included in room) but we grabbed delicious egg and cheese sandwiches and coffee a from a shop just a quick walking distance every morning. There's a cute Mexican bistro just around the block (Maria's). And I want to emphasize again how great the staff was! I didn't realize this part of Brooklyn is a city..lol--I'd never been to Brooklyn before--but was convenient as a home base as we ventured out into the bigger Brooklyn while we were there..The excellent staff, the comfortable bedding, the room cleanliness, and convenience to the subway tipped this to a 4 star rating

Bob K.

Yelp
We enjoyed a perfect one night stay here! Perfect good omen was when we pulled up outside the first parking space was open! At the front desk Hamza assured us we could leave our car there even though we had arrived early. Our room was not quite ready but Hamza assured us it wouldn't take long. He is friendly and really on top of things. We felt welcome. A quick stroll around the neighborhood and Sunset Park and our room was ready. Even though we were staying on points, Hamza gave us a choice of two rooms and pointed out the features of each. He made us feel extremely welcome. We stayed in 401, a thoroughly modern room with a nice view of the Manhattan skyline. The room is absolutely soundproof...we heard nothing from outside or from surrounding rooms. We highly recommend this convenient spot if you are visiting Brooklyn.

Joyce Y.

Yelp
I really wanted to give it two stars but I can't help but remember how nice the guy at the front desk was when I checked in. He gave me a free night of parking because the king bed I reserved was unavailable and gave me options instead of just placing me in a room. He at least cared. The food...not so great. The bartender there didn't seem like she enjoyed her job and even told me to go eat somewhere else when I asked if she had anything that resembled vegetables since they were out of salad and even celery for their wings. So I ended up with a very unhealthy dinner that I wanted to regurgitate because it was all fried and greasy but that was my fault since I didn't want to walk next door to the asian place. Overall the room was clean, a bit comical in how SMALL it was, but it did the job. I definitely thought it was bigger based on the pictures posted. Boy, did I thought wrong... Wished this place had a pool or gym or something but looking at it's location, that would have been impossible. It was across the street from a laundrymat and wedged between a bunch of townhouses, very random location. It was definitely walkable distance to a lot of restaurants, maybe a bit sketchy for the area, but convenient to where I needed to be for work. Would I stay again at this place? Probably not, but it's a lot safer than some of the other hotels in the area and my big thing is making sure my room is clean...even though this one wasn't really bigger than a shoebox. I will give it points for decor, in being a bit different and unique. Never seen a sleigh bed like this in my life but it was comfortable and the sheets were clean. So not a bad hotel for this area and the front desk is pretty great.

Rita G.

Yelp
Had the worst experience at this hotel. Its in the middle of China town. Not the safest place for a walk. The rooms are small and dirty. There is mold in the shower. The sheets were prob not fresh. The room smelled of smoke. On our last day the elevators smelled as if someone took a dump in them. Coffee machine was broken. Wifi was down for both nights of our stay. I do not understand how this hotel is rated four stars on trip advisor.. The front desk acknowledged that our concerns were all valid but did nothing to help. My first and last experience with Wyndham.

LO H.

Yelp
Ok - it is NEW. Staff were nice. Hotel was nice and bathrooms, nice. No reason to ever stay here. It reminds me of a small Euro hotel, but again there is no charm as it is a Wyndham in butthole Brooklyn, the small Euro hotel is just the design. Trickery. Very Small. Hardly a Wyndham and it is in Brooklyn, but not the worthwhile part. Unwilling to refund after we complain about the location and size. It sucked - Total mistake.

Diane L.

Yelp
My sisters and I stayed here for 4 nights and were very pleased with our accommodations. Our rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The fluffy pillows and duvet felt luxurious. I slept very well, which isn't often the case in hotels. The staff was friendly, courteous, and efficient and checking in and out was quick and easy.

Candace H.

Yelp
When I saw that there was a new hotel opening on 39th street in Sunset Park I was absolutely elated. I was so happy because the other hotels in the area are sketchier than sketch. So this new 6 floor hotel is a great new option for family and friends visiting from out of town. The Wyndham Garden opened mid July 2015. It's a few blocks from the 36th street N/D/R subway station. My mom stayed at the hotel the last weekend in July. Since it recently opened the interior of the hotel is the spotless and new. There is a small lobby and restaurant on the 1st floor. There is currently a continental breakfast for $7. The restaurant is open for dinner from 4-11pm. The check in process was seamless and speedy. The staff was friendly and fairly knowledgable. Unfortunately, currently there is a very very small parking lot in the back (7 spaces and 1 handicap space) where you can park for an additional fee. I believe this must be arranged when booking your stay. If you are unable to get a parking spot out back you will have to fend for yourself and find street parking. The room my mom stayed in was very small. It fit only a king sized bed with very little room to walk around the bed. One unique thing about the bathroom is that it has frosted glass walls. So if you are in the room and the person in the bathroom has the light on you can see their silhouette, apparently this style is European excuse my naivety but the concept is pretty hard to tackle at first. Overall, I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family in the future. It's a great addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
I'm book this place on the December 5and 6, book this online and the price was $208 not including tax. When I'm get there the reception told me the breakfast was $7 each person. When the next day me and my husband try the breakfast they charge $30 for two people . Also the room sound insulation was so poor, the manager was yelling at the worker and I can heard it clearly. The room service and room cleaning was super bad . That feel gross! We just stay two nights and they charge $575 , I don't think this place worth this price . I don't recommend this place and never ever go back again!

Yelp
These guys are crooks. Booked via hotwire. Cancelled within the cancellation time frame and have email proof from hotwire. Wyndham charged my credit card. I called to tell them I had cancelled and they said they never recieved anything from hotwire. I've sent them proof myself. Hotwire sent them proof. My credit card is disputing the charge. These guys refuse to refund my card despite all the proof. If they have an issue with Hotwire settle it with hotwire. Don't try bullying the customer. That just don't fly. My next call is to Wyndham corporate. And my next post is to TripAdvisor. Good luck staying in business you shady hoteliers.

Yelp
Just stayed here for one night and it was fine! Everyone was super friendly and the room was clean. It would be nice to have free breakfast but otherwise that's the only thing. We didn't have to park which seems to be everyone's main complaint but we went during the week and a lot of the spots were open. I'd stay here again if ever in the area!

Yelp
TripAdvisor and Hopper said this was a four star hotel, which it was definitely not. Stayed here for one night in a deluxe double room. Arrived around 4PM and were lucky to get parking right out front. Parking is SUPER limited - I would say 8 spots in total in the front. So not really as advertised. Checking in was easy enough. Room was just okay - it's definitely not a four star hotel. The carpet was wet because they had recently cleaned it, but it definitely wasn't that clean, as my socks were basically brown after stepping on the carpet. A couple light stains on the sheets. Not the softest sheets or comfiest bed. Pretty plain bedroom with some pretty clear scuffs on the headboards, chairs, and desk. TV doesn't have streaming connections either. There was no room service. We were hoping to get slippers and robes, and were told there were none. Came back after drinks and there were no water bottles, told to go to the diner to buy water. No one was working in the restaurant either - completely empty (looked like it was closed even though it was open???) All in all, just fine. But definitely not a four star hotel, if that's what you're looking for (which is what we were wanting). It could be cleaner, could have more amenities. And it's definitely not priced for what it actually is. Unfortunately, we would not return.

Yelp
DON'T STAY there, I have a very bad experience, I left my Backpack in the room at 9:00AM and I came back around 2PM on Dec 2nd and Someone Stole my cash Money from it, I know I should'nt leave my money in the bag but I had a family emergency and I really forgot about it. The problem is When I asked the Manager and told him about the situation he called the housekeeper which was the only one who was there (his name is Richard) and he said he asked him and he said he didn't see any money, HOW in the Hell you ask a thief and u want him to say YES I stole the money, by the way the money is over $700 in cash and was in three groups but all together in the same pocket and he took them ALL, and I'm sure he took it coz I can see it in his eyes but they didn't allow me to talk to him. I called 911 and because it was not emergency they took too much time to arrive and by that time I left to catch my flight. I'm not going to let this go and I'll review this all over the internet, I have social media accounts with more that 200K followers and I'll show them how bad is the service over there and the Guy who claims he's the manager his name is Maxwell he didn't stand with me and he just left and told me call the police do whatever, I'll show him what this whatever will do!! And by the way I'm a Wyndham rewards member which of course I'll cancel this and claim why!

Yelp
I recently stayed in the Wyndham hotel for one night while in Brooklyn and although the rooms appeared nice and clean there were numerous cons to this hotel. 1. Rooms extremely small 2. 8 parking spots for the whole hotel 3. Street parking at night was horrible The front desk agent recommended that I pay the owner of the Laundromat across the street to park in his lot overnight but he was not around. I ended up circling the blocks for 10 minutes before I ended up finding a parking spot blocks away.

Yelp
The hotel is fine. The staff at the front desk is very pleasant. The restaurant is the joke. It opens at 5 and serves only poor quality sandwiches. I ordered grilled chicken breast and it came on the cold white bun with piece of Romain and slice of tomato. It was very bad tasteless sandwich. The waitress told me several times that she is out of menu copies and I should go back to my room to look at the menu. God save them. What a disaster.

Yelp
Consider that we paid for the hotel with points from United we loved it, otherwise may be overpriced for that neighborhood. Rooms are very cute, clean and modern. It was quite and all the necessary products were provided, good service. Parking was right got behind hotel, $25 for overnight.

Yelp
honestly my only con is the security deposit policy. everything else has been great. room is nice design. staff is so nice and attendant. Nicolas was great as well as everyone else. Even the housekeeping staff is super nice. Would come here to stay again.

Yelp
Stayed here for two nights while on a recent trip to NY. Room was clean but very, very small as other Yelpers have noted. Parking is a nightmare and they have you pay for it. If you decide to pay for it, you're not guaranteed the spot. We ended up finding parking on the street and parked for free. Check-in was quick and easy. Wouldn't recommend this place if you've got a large group or family because of how tiny the rooms are.

Yelp
So we got stuck late on a nightmare bathroom reno over in Bensonhurst. We booked the reservation at like 11:59. Booking.com messed up and never sent our reservation through to the hotel. But the gentleman who was working the front desk got us into our room in under 10 minutes and since they didn't have the king room we wanted they also gave us free breakfast. Since we weren't planning on staying here overnight we had no toiletries etc with us. They made sure I got everything I needed so we could shower and get to bed. They were both super friendly and accommodating. They also let me park my car for free in the a.m. when a spot opened up bc we all know NYC and the parking .. our room was clean and nice looking. The shower was amazing!!!!!! All in all we will be booking more Wyndham stays in the future. Was a great experience overall and I'm glad we stayed.

Yelp
It is the worst hotel I've ever seen, bad service and this is my advice don't use it anytime!

Yelp
So my boyfriend had booked us a room here for MDW (for my birthday) and in his confirmation email it says king size bed executive room WITH A VIEW!!! Please DO NOT book a room here, these people ripped us off. We were told that we would have a king size bed, robes and slippers, a view and free breakfast!!! My boyfriend went to talk to the receptionist and the guy said that all of there rooms have king size beds. The bed we got was either a full size or a queen because we have Queen size mattresses at home and this was definitely NOT A KING! There were no robes or slippers in our room (we could care less really, but why say you're going to provide certain things when you're not?) but there were only towels. We will NOT be booking here ever again. Also i want to point out the parking situation here is terrible. I can't believe we paid about $270 for this.....

Frank L.

Yelp
Don't stay here. I did a year ago. What a waste of money!! They say a view on their page and I got a crack house and a laundry mat. King size bed is really a queen and parking is horrible. I rather of stayed in my car on the streets then stayed here. The manager called me a day or two after I wrote a review and gave me a free stay and I tried using it and the number I called just kept ringing the email hasn't emailed me back. I called the front desk. They hung up on me the first time then answered and I told them what's going on and they gave me a number to call but it was to book a room in Florida. Umm I'm trying to book in Brooklyn, so they redirect my call and they hang up on me. I call the main number and it's a run around. After 30 mins on the phone I've gotten know where but these guys are going to give you a call back. I don't want to stay at this run down lying hotel. I rather stay at the crack house or the laundry mat of the "view" I get when you stay their.

Yelp
At first glance this is an amazing hotel, close to the train and new/ clean From there it goes downhill quickly The rooms are very small, ours had a tv and a king size bed with just enough room to walk around the bed to get to the bathroom. The bathroom is very nice and if you were to stay in the room alone wouldn't be bad ,however if you are staying with someone know that there is no privacy it's all glass and has a 1/2" gap between the door and wall. We were on the 7 th floor which also is where the utility room is and they must do laundry all night long it's very noisy and workers are also very noisy and inconsiderate , slamming doors and talking loudly at 11:15 at night I'm sure I could say more but for now I'm done If you need to be in the neighborhood then stay here otherwise find something else

Yelp
Two words: NEVER AGAIN! My family and I came into Brooklyn last night for a wrestling event at the Barclays Center, and this seemed like the best choice. At first glance, we were falsely advertised as far as location, because the pictures online showed that no buildings surrounded the location, but as we saw from parking, we were in a cramped parking lot (I'll get onto the issue with parking soon enough) in a seedy looking neighborhood. Things proceeded to get worse at check in when we found out not only did we pay for parking that we can't leave or else we lose the spot (the parking as mentioned was a cramped lot in the back with only a row of spaces), but also we got screwed on the room. We ordered a two bed room, but what we got was a one king sized bed room, so me and two people had to share a king sized bed, granted it was for one night, but its inexcusable. The woman at check in insisted that was what we ordered, and also insisted there was nothing she could do. The room itself was very cramped. When you walk into the room, there is very little space between the walls and the bed, there is very little in the way of bathroom privacy (the bathroom door is blurred glass and you can hear everything going on in the bathroom clearly), and also privacy in the way of hearing your neighbors. Are you a late sleeper? You better hope that your neighbors are the same. On top of that, every time we went back to our room, we saw the cart that the cleaning crew is supposed to take care of in the middle of the hall on our floor, which just shows the cleaning department has no care for their utensils. Later that day when we went down to the lobby to wait for the cab, we talked to a different person at the counter who took a look at our confirmation, and agreed that we indeed got screwed on our room. He tried to compensate us on breakfast (which we paid for already), but we decided that we just want out of there in the morning. What is most interesting though was something that our cab driver let us know about. The hotel we were staying at is well tied in with prostitution in the area. I cannot stress this point it enough. Overall, I believe that you are better off anywhere else other than the Wyndham Gardens in Brooklyn. Between the woman at check in screwing our room, paying for parking you can't even use, and everything in between, it made our vacation more stressful than it should've been because of the incompetence of the people who work there. I would give this place minus 5 stars on this app if I could, but as it stands, I'll just have to stand with 1 star from such a bad experience.

Yelp
Stayed weekend of 8/14-8/16. Hotel was priced fair (IMO), rooms were clean/modern, but fairly small. My main complaint would be parking. They advertise parking, but there are only 8 spots available, not to mention there are no parking garages within walking distance, so you must park on the street if their lot is full (which I'm sure is all the time). Other than that - had a nice stay.

Yelp
Very loud and not very clean. Stayed there before the Brooklyn half marathon and was unimpressed. Housekeeping started vacuuming the hallway right outside our door at 11 PM the night before the race, most unprofessional thing I've ever seen. They also don't have room service, you have to go downstairs to eat in the restaurant / bar. They only have 8 parking spots, and we watched a prostitute meet a guy right outside the entrance. The only reason I gave two stars was because they let us check out an hour late to shower after the race.

Yelp
do yourself a favor and do not stay here. from the second we walked in, it was awful. we had called ahead about early check in because checkin was at 3 and we were arriving at 1:30 with a cat and a dog and required early checkin. We were told that it was based on availability but told us not to worry because there was plenty of availability. we get there and they tell us we can't check in early. so we have to sit in the lobby for 1.5 hrs. mind you, it is laughable that the space we were sitting in was considered a lobby. It was a bench and two chairs next to the elevator. while we are sitting there, two other guests walk in to check in early (who also had a dog). and what do they get? EARLY CHECK IN!!!!! when they FINALLY let us check in, they tell us its $55 per pet. WHY WASN'T THIS ADVERTISED ON THE WEBSITE? WHY WERENT WE TOLD WHILE WE WERE SITTING HERE FOR OVER AN HOUR?????? The place is a dump, why are you even charging a pet fee???? the floors are gross and the rooms have weird stains on the floor... i think a $55 pet fee wont make a fucking difference because the place is a musty wreck anyway. We finally get into our TINY ROOM and we check the sheets AND THEY WERE DIRTY. WTF IS THIS H3LL HOLE???? Upon checking out, we check our bank accounts and see that instead of charging us $55 each for two pets ($110 total) we were instead charged $150. When we inquired as to why, we were told it was a deposit. We were never informed that there would be a deposit. we weren't looking for anything fancy, just somewhere to spend the night while our apartment gets work done. this shouldn't have been a difficult experience for us.

Yelp
Nice hotel. Clean lobby area and room. A few cons: 1. Parking is in the back of the hotel at $20 each entry. I think there were 6 to 8 spots total. Street parking is VERY limited. 2. Rooms are extremely small. 3. Customer Service was very poor. There was no greeting, I wasn't informed that money was being debited from my credit card and when we complained of smelling smoke in this NON-SMOKING hotel, we were not accommodated even after we shared that one of their guests were asthmatic. Customer service needs IMPROVEMENT. The customers experience should be priority. I would not recommend this hotel.

Yelp
The rooms were the size of a shoe box. Upon check in they asked for everyone's ID which has never happened to me before checking into any hotel. When I examined the sheets they were completely dirty. I requested to be sent to another room. I left my room around 11am and when I got back around 6:30pm my room was never even cleaned by the maids. I called the front desk and the manager told me not to get an attitude as if I didn't pay them for the services that they were REQUIRED to provide. They sent someone up with fresh towels because by then the maids were already gone. The towels were still dirty. I could even see the makeup stains on the washcloths from previous guests. I will NEVER stay here again!!! Everything about this hotel disgusted me.
