Wyndham Garden Quedlinburg Stadtschloss

The staff at the front desk did not speak a word English. The rooms were fine, not anything special, nice and big though. No A/C in the room but that wasn’t needed at all. The breakfast buffet was good, in my opinion very standard. We ate dinner in the restaurant once doing our stay, it was okay but the potatoes were disgusting, they had a jello like consistency, very wird.

Honestly I liked the hotel, the harsh review is more the result of price + no room cleaning service + extremely uncomfortable bed/pillow situation + 12euro on-site daily parking. Just felt a bit too expensive for what we got. Breakfast is fine, very nice staff doing the service. Great location in town

Generally good experience. The staff member who greeted us was nice and helpful, but I can't say as much for the rest. Great location in town. Breakfast was good. They have limited parking, but luckily we got a spot. Although it was down the street a few blocks. We were disappointed the whirlpool was not working during our stay.

I went for a small wedding. The room that we reserved was a good size, and very close to the kitchen so that the wait staff was able to bring things out quickly when requested. The breakfast they had the next day was also pretty good with plenty of seating and options for everybody. Basic German stuff like cheese, meats, bread, jams, butter, coffee, and some basic scrambled eggs. Overall the whole hotel was very clean and neat. The little bar downstairs was my favorite part, because it had low stone ceilings that really made you feel like you were in a castle!

The hotel is ideally situated on the edge of the old town - only a few minutes walk from the main market place. It is nice and quiet, the building itself is delightful and the room comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was fine. The staff were efficient if a little lacking in charm.

Our standard double room was under the roof and pretty warm during our stay, beside a road construction being executed in front of the hotel. Not a fortunate moment, we was ready to leave the hotel, however, the hotel staff offered the suite on the same floor, which relieved our stress. In the end we had a marvelous stay in this wonderful hotel. |The breakfast is very good with a lot of choice in the buffet. |

The hotel was clean and ideally located. Staff was helpful and we enjoyed the spa, steam room and sauna. It's beautifully restored. Lots of water pressure in the shower and comfortable beds. We would certainly book this location again.

While this hotel looks less impressive and has a rather typical modern interior we think its location in the old town not far from the market square and its reasonable price make this hotel one of the best choices to stay in Quedlinburg. The hotel has a fee parking inside the hotel but you can also park the car at the open garage for free but you need to drive around from hotel to the parking place due to the one-way limit. It just takes 5 minutes to reach there. Breakfast is quite good with more choices and lots of juices.

This hotel is very dated. No AC, no room darkening blinds, no fans. No customer service whatsoever. Asked to have our luggage stored for 1 hour because we didn't want to leave everything in the car on a scorching hot day. We were told they couldn't watch it and instead offered us some seating where we could watch it while we were waiting on check in, which wasn't until 3 pm (and not a minute earlier, lol).

Great location. But downhill from there. Extremely rude front desk that won't even try to accommodate the customer. Being a Wyndham property, she didn't even know how to add our rewards number to the bill. The room was dated, without AC on a 100 degrees day, and worn out beds. But I'm the end, it was the front desk that turned us off to ever stay at a Wyndham again. We witnessed how other people were treated like they had committed a crime for using a coupon that stated it was for 2 visitors and they had decided to bring their child. Customer service is definitely non existing at this property. Travelers beware!!!

NO air conditioning!!!! Seems like eastern Germany has not embraced the concept of air conditioning - hotels, businesses, restaurants.....everywhere we went, there was no relief from the 95+ degrees It was also disappointing to see this Wyndham likewise did NOT have A/C - and we were placed in the attic. It was unbearably hot & only after the Mr got rude that they provided us with a fan but even so, sleeping was next to impossible.....even with all the windows open And I realize Wyndham has no control over the weather. What they do have control over, is the ability to plan for these such days and to provide portable A/C units or some kind of alternate cooling units for their rooms & here is where Wyndham did not meet the challenge Aside from the heat, have to say the hotel was lovely - the room was small ( as it was in the attic ) but comfortable, the pillows were awesome, great water pressure and their free breakfast was huge and filling. Lots of buffet tables with meats, cheeses, museli fixings, breads of all kinds, etc.... WiFi was free but the signal was awful We would definitely stay here again but perhaps not in the summer months
