I wouldnt go again. We stayed at Marriott Cypress Harbour and decided to extend our Labor Day vacation one more evening and check out other similar properties. Saw this one on Orbitz and looked awesome so we booked. What wouldnt you love with multiple pools, restaurants, lazy rivers and great rooms, right?
Check in was fine. I saw there was a resort fee before booking, but must have missed the parking. $29 self park vs $38 valet... whatever, I guess is what it is.
Check in was fine, the guy Jake at the desk was nice.
Property is very large as it spans the resort building + the other "Club Wyndham" timeshare properties.
Only reason for going was for the pools and lazy river for my son (2 years)
No one explained towels... You need to get towels at the pool, easy enough. No one explained the Club properties dont give you towels. They do say you can walk around the lake (I called front desk to ask how to get there, they had no idea if could drive or not, said to just walk). So, walk we did. Was a nice walk, enjoyed seeing all the turtles and ducks, kids into that.
Was pretty unfortunate to get all the way there and be told had to bring our own towels, though.
All the pools were merky/cloudy. So many people, so much sunscreen and pee I'm sure. Was thankful when it was time to be done and go shower to head out for dinner. Most chairs were always taken. Trash left all over. Bathroom at the Oasis pool had melted ice cream all over the floor. Trust me, I get that happens, but imagined an employee would have cleaned at some point
Didnt bother with any restaurants, too expensive and already had a bad taste in my mouth. Def check out Freddys steakburgers, was very surprised and enjoyed!
The room (318) was ok. Air runs good, maybe too good. AC vent was covered in mold, so thats fun. Never really felt "clean" after showering, dont know if it was the towels of body wash. Sheets felt damp all night, too. Room had a connecting door to neighbors, luckily brought our sound machine for our child. They were simply having conversations, not being rowdy or anything, and could hear very well. Bet they appreciated the multiple times my son woke up crying throughout the night. Also, back to the towels... talk about cheap hotel towels. Felt like something from a Holiday Inn, but I love Holiday Inn and know what to expect. Window had big long smudges on it, def dont want to know from what.
Long story short, hard pass. I'd rather spend the $60 more and stay at Marriott Cypress Harbour a few miles down the road. Pools were clear, not over crowded, towels available close by or in room. Quiet. Def would go there again, and again, pass on this place.
