Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convention Center

The service is amazing in the entire hotel. In the coffee bar, the waiter Rudy Araya in the was very helpful and super welcoming. He went out of his way to heat our food that we already had and serve out for us in plates. He also added an extra shot of coffee in my cappuccino when I thought it wasn’t strong enough. We felt really great appreciating his service and gentleness and his smile. The water with fresh strawberry he offered us was super refreshing and delicious actually. || We also got our shoes cleaned in the laundry service by two amazing ladies, which was really impressive to have it on time and super clean after a long hike. ||The room was ok, not what you expect in a 5 star hotel. Shower drainage was not functioning properly. Hair dryer holder was loose. Hair dryer very old and weak. They wanna save energy but the shower takes 5 min of running water to get hot. Things looked old. ||We enjoyed our stay. Also the jacuzzi was nice , maybe needed some cleaning and a bit of maintenance but it was ok. The lady at the pool bar was also amazing and super helpful and being extra nice getting us towels by herself. ||We were a bit disappointed about the breakfast options and quality of coffee offered.

A great place to have your conference. I came here for a conference last May and it was absolutely amazing. They took very good care of us and it is super close to the airport. Also not far from getting into the city. They have great rooms and facilities with their gym being very nice. Highly recommend it.

Spacious and impressive complex. Average price. We loved all the different pools. Below average restaurant and Casino. Not much of a selection of places to eat within reasonable walking distance. The hotel breakfast was very nice. |The room, I found, was below average.......only one small round table which had a small Keurig and paper cups and water bottles on it, so not enough room for our laptops and only one chair. No full length mirror. The bathroom had no place to put your toiletries either by the sink or in the shower.|The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. Staff was very nice.|I never got my wake-up call.

The architecture was amazing with the open wall concepts and the breakfast buffet very delicious. Casino was really empty but overall the experience was great. Could use smart TVs for evening to turn in, and some walls and some of the room's furniture could be updated. We stayed in the 6000 block.

Stayed here 1 night to go to the airport. I would advise to arrive during the day vs. the evening as the hotel looks a lot nicer in the sun. Best features of the hotel are airport shuttle service, large pool (s), and nice morning buffet. Other than that the rooms and hallways need a MAJOR update. Also the property is very large so you need to be able to navigate / walk it. The rooms appear to be extremely dated and dingy. I do believe the hotel is going through a remodel but for 50 dollars or so more you will probably find someplace better while they are in the process.

The rooms were nice but while they tell you breakfast is included at check in you will find out it only is for one person even though 3 people checked in. Also, the breakfast area opened 15 minutes late. If you stayed here because it's close to the airport (like we did) take this into account. Also, we went to the bar (Piratas) and got a couple of drinks and our waitress disappeared for at least a half hour and left us waiting a while for another round.

I was really impressed by this hotel and plan to stay here again whenever I fly into San Jose. The room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony for sitting outside. The location is very close to the airport and they have an airport shuttle. There is a beautiful pool area, a bar and car rental offices. It really is a great place to start or end a trip to Costa Rica.

Diego at the desk the best!|Rudy Araya at the espresso bar can help you go far! Marine at desayuno will keep your coffee filled and make you go go go. And of course, las senoras of housekeeping will tuck your hijas favorite Jellycats in as well. The staff of this property go above and beyond. Come see them. Remember a little Spanish and grateful smile will take you far. Pura Vida!
