Wyndham Tortola BVI Lambert Beach Resort

We stayed for one night after a recent BVIs sailing trip. We've stayed all over Tortola over the past few years, and the Wyndham was the best so far. Nice staff, arranged an early check-in for us (as we arrived mid-morning after our sail); the staff was very helpful with many things during our stay. Our room was nice, very comfortable and clean. The beach is really nice, quiet and beautiful. We also hung out at the pool a bit, also very nice. ||The bars and restaurants were good too! We had drinks at both bars, delicious, and the bartenders were very helpful with low-carb cocktails! We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant... service was good, attentive and efficient. The food was very good as well, representative of the "islands" cuisine. We would definitely stay there again.

This was an excellent resort. I was there for 9 days. It was located in a secluded area along Lambert Bay. The private beach was beautiful, clean, calm, and swimmable with plenty of lounge chairs. You can reach the airport in about 15 minutes via taxi.||My room was very clean. Unlike many hotels, they honored the policy of being environmentally friendly by not replacing towels if they were put on the rack. The porch outside had a huge chair for relaxing. Someone from the office showed me how to access Netflix and Yahoo that were available on the TV.||The staff was very good. They reserved a taxi for me whenever I needed one. Desk clerks knew approximate costs and travel times. After I got a cut from a hike, they provided me a Band-Aid from their first aid kit.||All the food in the restaurant was good, with prices comparable to those in the states. There was an excellent selection of seafood. The tastiest item on the menu was the margarita chicken sandwich. They allow you to substitute sides at no extra cost. ||With an ocean view, the price was reasonable. A gym was available free of charge. Complimentary bottles of water were provided. Wyndham was centrally located to allow me to access all my planned activities and do some island hopping via the ferries.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Lambert Beach. I was blown away at how inexpensive it was and the value we received. We stayed for 3 nights before our catamaran charter. The room was super clean, beds comfortable, very quiet and almost no one else on the beach or at the pool. We were able to use a cabana every day with no problem. Housekeeping was great. We ate many meals at the restaurant, and they were all fantastic. The beach and sunset view is just stunning. Cocktails were great at both bars. I found the food and drink prices to be very reasonable. ||I had a massage and facial at the spa scheduled the day of, and it was wonderful, one of the best I’ve ever had. It was a great deal too. ||If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing spot to decompress or unwind for a few days, this is it! ||The only downsides: towels could be refreshed, the grass was high in some places but they were slowly getting it cut, not many beach chairs available or some were broken, and wine selection is not very large. ||I would absolutely stay here again next time!

Resort setting was beautiful! The beach was one of the most picturesque we’ve seen. Sadly the resort could be 5 star but fell short in cleanliness, check in staff (they handed our friends passports and almost forgot to give them there’s back) and just run down in general. This resort basically shuts down at 10 pm which is fine for those looking for a quiet escape but you can’t even get room service after 10. John, the bartender and food service staff were wonderful. But our room wasn’t very clean, cushions on pool chairs were filthy and we were only given 2 beach towels so we at on the stained and bird poo covered chairs so we would be able to dry ourselves after swimming. Would like to see them give the resort a good sprucing up because, as stated before, the setting and beach are undeniably beautiful.

Wyndham Tortola sits on a truly beautiful piece of property — right on the ocean with stunning views, and the overall aesthetic and layout have so much potential. The highlight for me was the beach at Lambert Bay. It was absolutely incredible: crystal-clear water, no seaweed, and a calm, peaceful vibe that made it feel like a true escape. The staff were fantastic — genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. They were the best part of the experience by far. Our room was clean and comfortable, but it was surprising (and a bit inconvenient) that there was no iron or hair dryer, which you’d expect from a resort at this level. The restaurant was decent. The food was okay, but not memorable — something you’d maybe try once, but not return to. On the upside, the drinks were great and the bar area had a nice vibe. Unfortunately, where the resort really fell short was in the maintenance and care of the property. The landscaping was neglected and overgrown, making large parts of the grounds feel unkempt. The beach chair area needed serious attention, and it took away from an otherwise beautiful beachfront experience. Worst of all, the pool was in terrible shape — murky, deep green, and completely uninviting. I made the mistake of going in briefly and ended up with a rash, which was not only gross but seriously concerning. Clearly, the water quality is not being monitored or managed properly. It’s honestly a shame, because Wyndham Tortola could be something special. It has the bones — great location, wonderful staff, beautiful beach — but it needs serious attention to cleanliness, landscaping, and overall upkeep. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless some major improvements are made.

Overall, the staff is not very friendly except for the restaurant management team. |It seems like you are bothering the people that work there. No greeting Hello or Welcome. 1 out 10 staff are friendly. The reception representatives can be more hospitable. They are the first point of contact for the resort and you would think they would be making every effort to make the guests excited to be there. Not really. It's very disappointing to say the least.||The rooms are okay. Mostly clean but nothing exciting.The beach is absolutely the highlight. It's secluded, not too many people and a beautiful place to swim.|They could sport some new lounge chairs as 30%-40% of them are broken and rusted. The cabanas could use some enhancements. There doesn't seem to be any effort to leverage this beautiful beach and entice people to enjoy being on the beach. It would also be great if the staff would serve refreshments to the beach guests. This would be an easy revenue stream.||The restaurant has terrible food. Seems like everything is frozen. including the first time I ordered their french fries. It seems like Ore Ida frozen fries. The second time I ordered them, it was good. Maybe it depends on who's cooking.||The burgers are the safest meal to order but everything else is not even average.|Breakfast is terrible. Frozen hash brown patties that are just like what you would get from McDonalds. Their omelette was terrible, couldn't even eat it. The french toast was decent. Their banana bread was very greasy.||The restaurant tables outside of the patio can use some pizzaz. Bare bones and very basic. Again, there is no concerted effort to make this attractive for guests to sit at these tables. ||The bar drinks were decent.||The little resort store doesn't even have cold drinks or snacks you can purchase. The vending machines are broken. This resort is so out of the way, that it would be 30 minutes to get to a store. They make it so that you have no choice but to eat at their restaurant.||I will only return to this place to go for a swim on the beach but I will not be staying at this resort.

We had an incredible time here! We were looking for a spot where we could simply relax with no stress or worries, and we got exactly that! The beach is beautiful, peaceful, and secluded, which is just what we were hoping for. Their food at the restaurant was great and their restaurant manager, Tamas, was amazing!! If you go, make sure you have a conversation with him. He was so kind and welcoming and grateful to serve us. Tamas is the best! I would recommend anyone to visit here!

We are currently staying at this location and ran in to several issues, beginning the TV did not work the service desk came promptly to fix, though after we went to the bar and when i tell you the BARTENDER JOHN was the worst I have experienced and we travel often he was looked and acted as if he was miserable argued with the wait staff 75% of the time which rolled down to the guest at the bar we did not get service had to ask a server that was walking around to help us he disregarded our existence pretty much we went next night and it was exactly the same we wanted to order and decided not because of his poor actions we decided to leave so here the next day we had room service came picked up our towels and said they will bring them back in 15 min we had to leave here it is 10pm come back to the room after a beautiful day NO TOWELS, WASH CLOTHS NOTHING!!! This was a very beautiful property but service 2/10 😢 ..
