I've just returned from a stay at Moxy Oslo X and couldn’t have been more impressed. Tucked away in scenic Skjetten yet only minutes from Lillestrøm’s shops and cafés, it strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and accessibility.
Location & Transport
The hotel sits in a quiet, green suburb ideal for peaceful mornings. Lillestrøm station is a short drive away with direct trains to Oslo Airport and the city centre, and the nearby E6 motorway makes driving just as easy.
Check-In & Lobby
Check-in was a breeze—I even got to choose between a ground-floor or upper-floor room, which felt like a thoughtful touch. The lobby doubles as a lively lounge: comfy sofas, board games, a well-stocked bar, and a 24/7 shop for snacks and essentials.
Room & Housekeeping
My minimalist room was spotless and wonderfully quiet—I slept soundly every night. The daily cleaning team was outstanding, and the evening turndown service (complete with fresh towels and a neatly made bed) felt like a little luxury after a busy day.
Breakfast & Dining
Breakfast ran 6:30–10:00 on weekdays and 7:00–11:00 on weekends. The buffet offered hot dishes, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, and more—plenty to fuel a full day of exploring. On-site dinner choices were limited, but the 24/7 snack bar came in handy for late bites.
Local Eats & Delivery
There aren’t many restaurants within walking distance, but I found the Wolt app a lifesaver. I ordered everything from burgers to sushi and local specialties, all delivered right to my door without a hitch.
Extras & Amenities
The lifts were impressively fast—no queues, even during peak times. I also noticed a kids’ play area indoors and outdoor games like giant chess and mini golf, perfect for families or anyone looking to unwind outside.
Recommendation
Whether you’re in town for business at Exporama or a relaxing weekend getaway, Moxy Oslo X delivers on style, comfort, and convenience.
