Xanadu Island Resort

Can’t recommend Xanadu enough. It is a top notch resort but with a more intimate feel. The staff make the experience all the better - everyone was so accommodating, polite, friendly, personable, and generally a joy to be around. Even the night time security staff were delightful. We felt so at home. Shout out to Bernis, Jesica, Kenisha, Winston, Rosalia, Anselmo, Angel, Vicente, and Carlos, (and Mr. Peter and Ms. Michelle, of course!) (I hope I didn’t forget anyone because they were all truly fantastic). They handled all our arrangements for outings and will make reservations as well. Housekeeping did a fantastic job too. They have a great company to arrange taxi to and from the airport, which is maybe 5min by cart - they were great too (Lelu and Marcos). The grounds are gorgeous and I did not miss a walk-in beach one bit (they have a sea wall beach). Head to the beach loungers for some sun and a round of corn hole when your butt gets tired of relaxing too long. A tip - bring good mosquito spray. We will definitely be back!!!

We stayed at Xanadu for 6 nights over Christmas (family of 4 with two young adult children). We picked Xanadu because it’s eco-friendly and encourages guests to shop and eat in San Pedro. We stayed in a 2-bedroom garden view suite but we also had a nice view of the pool and ocean. The staff was incredibly helpful in setting up excursions, renting our golf cart, and recommending restaurants. The grounds and facilities were lovely and relaxing. The pool is beautiful and the little nature walk on site is charming. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The only problem we encountered was glitchy Wi-Fi but that was a minor complaint since everything else was great and wi-Fi was glitchy everywhere. We highly recommend Xanadu if you’re planning to visit Ambergris Caye! If we have the opportunity to return to Ambergris Caye we will certainly stay there again.

Great staff and very well maintained grounds. You will need a go cart to go to most popular places. The Wifi is problematic and goes down regularly and cell service is very poor at the property so if you are relying on your phone to plan your activities that will likely be an issue. The beach front is better maintained than the surrounding properties but if you want a good beach with clear water, you'll have to do the 45min trip to Secret Beach. Good bakery down the street at walking distance for breakfast

Although we were staying during the shoulder season, and it was a bit quiet, it was a great stay! Everything was immaculate. There was security at night, and he also took pride in having the resort in impeccable shape by morning, including all the cushions back out on the sun, chairs, and the sand raked!housekeeping was incredible and every time we arrived back, our suite felt brand new. Drinks at the bar were some of the best I had in Belize and made with fresh fruit. We would definitely stay there again. It is a great place for a couples and families or even a girls trip.

Good hotel. Amazing location. Good services . The room is so clean. Animation team amazing and very helpful. Thanks to starboy ( wily ) and Mario . They are so funny. We recommend this place … it’s our first time and we really have a fun

Amazing grounds, comfortable rooms, staff was so kind. Pool and hot tub were perfect to come back to after snorkel day trips. Would recommend this over the more commercial resorts on the island. This was paradise and would not hesitate to stay here again. Stayed with my husband and 3 kids.

The rooms, location, pier, were exceptional. The pool was great. Truly an exceptional resort. The only drawback, which is pretty easily managed, was there is no restaurant and the bar closes a little early. They scheduled wonderful snorkel adventures for our multi-genrational family.

An absolute oasis of calm amongst the bustle qof San Pedro! This beautiful eco property is, in our eyes, unfaultable, if there's such a word! From the complimentary pick up and dropoff to ferry terminals and local airport, welcoming and helpful staff, to excellent recommendations for food and restaurants. Huge rooms, well furnished with everything you could possibly need plus many generous and welcoming touches. Lovely pool, and bar area and the opportunity to use kayaks and paddle boards. Their beach is immaculate compared to those surrounding at larger properties. Plus excellent security. After 3 weeks in hotels on a tour, we welcomed the opportunity to prepare our own breakfasts in the well equipped kitchen and to just chill out. Xanadu really think of everything!
