Go Greek, Go Meat. Crete is not just about coasts for eating fish where all tourists land. If you are around this part of island, consider this place in a very local town. I took the pork shank under recommendation by the staff even though it was not label as “local food”: Honestly satisfying. Everything was super nice. Atmosphere, food (you just wish to have 8 stomachs and try all menu), service. Final note….we ate many things, we were 4 people and the total: 80€.. that s right. Cheap and delicious.

An incredible great restaurant! The ambiance is lovely, the staff is very attentive and friendly and the food is delicious. The dolmadakia and the grilled eggplant were out of this world. The meat in the main courses were great as well. We wanted to take another bottle of wine with us, and Manos gave us a 2017 Lumcino. A superbly aged wine, a bit oxidative, which we absolutely love. It was simply a perfect evening! Thank you for everything!

Amazing restaurant in the small traditional village Kroustas. Tasty and flavorful food, generous portions. The staff was very nice, they offered an incredible dessert and fruit on the house. It can get very busy so it might take a while until you get a table and they serve the food. I would recommend making a reservation before.

An amazing experience of authentic cretan cuisine. We had a brilliant dinner in this joyful and warm restaurant. The personnel are extremely kind and down to heart, we tasted delicious recipes which one will never forget, such as sheep sausages, an undescribable specialty. I hope to have the chance to come back in the future. Thanks for the wonderful evening!

Excellent food, flavours were so well balanced, lots of choice of lovely Cretan flavours with a modern twist, good portion sizes and very good value as well!

Mindblowing experience away from all of the hustle and bustle. Cozy atmosphere, great wine list and most important: amazing food. Aftakia pasta is this years highlight of mine.
