Super selection of cheese and very friendly staff that encourages you to try their products as you decide what to buy. Evidently the boss, very nice guy has won top culinary awards for his mastery of cheese in all forms.. our purchases were vacuum packed for plane travel. Universally regarded as the best cheese mongers in Toulouse!

What a cheese selection! Certainly among my top 3 "maitre fromager" experienced so far. The brie aux truffes is the highlight for sure but don't dismiss their excellent "chèvre and brebis" selection. The staff is lovely, helping, will give you a taste if you hesitate. It can get very crowded at peak times, then there is no doubt, this is where real french cheese is made!

I was looking for some cheese to bring home, but didn’t really know what should I look for. Staff were very friendly and walked me through the options, also they offered some samples to help me decide. Overall I was very pleased with my visit.

One of my favorite cheese shops in Toulouse (and hands-down the most beautiful). I've never gotten anything here that was less than the highest quality. The Pavé Toulousain is a must-try, as it's the special creation of the owner, who is a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (a very, very prestigious award for artisans who are a the top of their profession).

A wonderful place with everything cheese! Friendly & helpful lady. Bought some cheese & she vacuum wrapped them for my flight home. Lovely place.

I discovered the Pavé Toulousain, their speciality, a couple of years ago, and it is an absolute beauty! The 12 months old is really strong and tasty while the 4 months one is soft and light. But both have got an incredible taste. The best way to get the whole flavour is to have very very thin slices. Beyond this, the shop offers an incredible choice of other cheeses. Staff is very professional and helpfull and can provide a lot of advise.

Cheese aged with care. For a lover of fromage this is a very special type of establishment. The prices also are reasonable considering the quality.

Wow! Xavier has an amazing cheese selection. If you're searching for cheese in Toulouse, I suggest shopping at Xavier. The Denver cheesemonger I was traveling with was certainly pleased. When I walked in, the first thing that caught my attention was the accessibility. All the cheese was uncovered and not hidden behind casing. Of course, respect the cheese at all times.They had clever signs denoting the name, animal, and originating region. And if you were providing cheese for a party, they might insert tiny plastic cards denoting this same cheese information. The two cheesemongers hustled about, helping customers, filling up their baskets with single units and varying weighted cheese wedges. You could also purchase huge dark pain. For those traveling back to the US, Xavier does offer cryo-vac, so your cheese will keep well during your remaining travels. Hopefully, they don't get confiscated by the uninformed US border patrol.
