Xenious Zeus

Walked past this restaurant during the day and decided to try for dinner. Reservation made easily on phone. Authentic and tasty Greek food, well priced for being near tourist area. Cold beer and reasonable house white and red wines. Would recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a good atmosphere and meal in Athens.

Great place in the most charming area is Athens. It gives the vibe of an authentic little village hut, in the middle of the capital. They have authentic Greek food. And the view speaks for itself. Munch at the footsteps of the Acropolis, you won’t regret.

The location and the view from the terrace are amazing. However, I have mixed feelings about the food. The Greek salad is tasty. The burger seemed a bit dry to me. Overall, I am satisfied, but I wasn't left in great awe. Nevertheless, I'm glad I visited this restaurant, if only for the location and the history of the place.

This was our lunch spot the first day we arrived in Athens and it was a great start to a busy week. The restaurant was busy on the outdoor patio (though quiet inside) and the food was excellent. It feels slightly unfair to ding them on service; they were pleasant but busy. The only challenge was getting their attention. Otherwise a 10/10 experience. Also, note, portions sizes are not small!

A lovely quiet outdoor vibe with a breathtaking view. They said it was going to be a long wait as there was a large group but felt we had found a gem so didn’t want to leave and decided it was worth the wait. Didn’t end up being that long anyway. A breezy authentic feeling restaurant amongst the other touristic ones down the steps! Food felt homely and was good, prices good as well. Couldn’t not enjoy a glass of white wine here, had the saganaki, zucchini flowers stuffed with rice, Greek salad, and chicken souvlaki with fries. What a lunch. Would 100% come back every time in Athens. So so good!!!! Thank you!

Amazing views and location. The food was selectively good, but some was just ok. The mushrooms appetizer was great. Greek coffee was well as if they forgot to add coffee beans. I suspect you got to be lucky and be there when they don't have big group coming in.

From start to finish you could tell this place was different. The servers took such pride in taking care of us and they were the best at welcoming hospitality. Food, wine and service excellent. Complimentary tsipouro and cake finished us off!

Nikos and Costas were fantastic. They made our party of 8 work, even with no reservations on a Saturday night. If you're looking for authentic, high quality Greek food for a fantastically fair price. Visit this restaurant and ask for either of these professionals. So much fun!
