"香港大排檔 Hong Kong Dai Pai Dong, Songshan District by Lin Yuhuan . Running by authentic Hong Kong chefs, the chefs are cooking inside a semi-opening kitchen, providing the classic Cantonese cuisine. Congee, Wonton noodles, steamed Vermicelli rolls, all you name it. Still there are quite a few elder people will grab newspapers, come here drink a pot of hot tea and read for a whole morning, continuing the Yum cha culture."

Old style Hong Kong restaurant. Very disappointed! The waitress was impatient and impolite. We ordered lo mein with oyster sauce and wonton. The noodles was too hard and the sauce tasted bad. Steamed vermicelli roll was unsavory. Drinks were tasteless. I couldn’t imagine the restaurant can survive until now! Definitely won’t visit again.

Food is ok, as far as I can tell, quite close to the HK-style they try to reproduce. I have by now been here a few times - mostly by myself - and tried a good part of their menu. I can say the 芝麻糊 is probably their most impressive dish (and no, that's not a compliment). There are other aspects that can enrich your HK-style experience. The amount of airs the owners put on themselves and the absolute lack of manners made me feel like indeed, I was back in Hong Kong. Let me tell you, there are many, many good Cantonese restaurants in Taipei (even in Songshan itself), not just yours. Your food is good, but made sour by the owner's attitude. Which is exactly the reason why I will happily choose other shops over yours. Especially the last time, I made the mistake of bringing a friend here: little did I know, we were to be both kicked out of the shop because guilty of the most abominable of acts: CHATTING while dining. Can you just imagine how rude we were to try and have a conversation while having dinner, rather than just shoving all the food down our guts using a funnel. Only to discover that, after being basically kicked out for talking too much instead of eating, we found out that there were other customers inside still eating their meals in peace. Which reminded me of yet another aspect of HK culture: racism. Regards

This place is just ok. Maybe close to a 3.5 stars. It’s got a decent selection of Hong Kong style dishes. The interior design and its location will make you feel like you’re actually in Hong Kong. The service can be rude at times just as you’d expect from a traditional Hong Kong cuisine joint. The food was not bad but nothing mind blowing.

I personally think they are one of the best places in Taipei to try proper and tasty Cantonese street dishes. Since I was a kid, every time if I wanna try these kind of food, it has always been on the top of my list. Strongly recommend!! Do try their pot rice and mushroom chicken!!! They both are spectacular!

Traditional taste made me think I was in HK. Food was delicious. Highly recommended.

Neighborhood Cantonese restaurant, good size, in the ally, inside seemed clean. Well known for its rice in clay pot and rice porridges. So, ordered both to try. The pork livers on rice porridge were not fresh, couldn't eat it, though the porridge texture was ok. The rice in clay pot was "wet", soggy, not right. The meats were average taste. The vegetables were overcooked. Very disappointing!

Good food with fair prices! The steamed rice is highly recommended. There’re a lot of options on the menu!

very old style hong kong/cantonese style restaurant.... taste is authentic but lack of fresh new flavor. You feel time stays here......no much changes after 30 years. Broth goes with rice pot is flavored with dry squid, special to my taste!
