Food is ok, as far as I can tell, quite close to the HK-style they try to reproduce. I have by now been here a few times - mostly by myself - and tried a good part of their menu. I can say the 芝麻糊 is probably their most impressive dish (and no, that's not a compliment). There are other aspects that can enrich your HK-style experience. The amount of airs the owners put on themselves and the absolute lack of manners made me feel like indeed, I was back in Hong Kong. Let me tell you, there are many, many good Cantonese restaurants in Taipei (even in Songshan itself), not just yours. Your food is good, but made sour by the owner's attitude. Which is exactly the reason why I will happily choose other shops over yours. Especially the last time, I made the mistake of bringing a friend here: little did I know, we were to be both kicked out of the shop because guilty of the most abominable of acts: CHATTING while dining. Can you just imagine how rude we were to try and have a conversation while having dinner, rather than just shoving all the food down our guts using a funnel. Only to discover that, after being basically kicked out for talking too much instead of eating, we found out that there were other customers inside still eating their meals in peace. Which reminded me of yet another aspect of HK culture: racism.
