Xinbeitou Historic Station

Xinbeitou Historic Station is the only remaining station in Taipei City which is made of wood. Rebuilt in 2017, the station is now mainly a museum displaying the station’s history. The station often turns into a flea market when there are special events or festivals. It is open to the public completely free of charge. Highly recommend trying the hands-only mini hot spring pool, which has a special scent of green sulfur.

This is a cool area to check out, right next to the MRT. If you have luggage, the MRT station also has lockers for you. The structure was rebuilt to look how it was before so there’s a historical feel to it. The train exhibition is a fun photo op and if you do the survey, you get a little prize! Definitely check out the souvenir shop as they have very unique and crafty items for purchase. This place also has stamps just like at the Beitou hot springs museum.

Right outside the MRT station, you’ll spot an old historic building that houses exhibitions about Beitou Station and the local railway history. If you walk through the building, you’ll find an old train in front — you can actually step inside and take a look, which feels like traveling back in time. Even better, there’s a small courtyard nearby where you can enjoy a free hand bath! Highly recommended to give it a try!

Was so glad when we stumbled upon the Xinbeitou Historic Railway Station. The old train, the vintage photos, and the nostalgic vibe, all of it brought back so many warm memories, even though I didn’t grow up here. It really makes you appreciate how far we’ve come while still holding on to history. The whole place has such a peaceful, charming feel to it. If you’re in the area, definitely take some time to visit. It’s a lovely spot to slow down and take it all in.

A good place to visit when in Taipei. Lovely to see such an historical building. I went to some hot springs as well. It was very relaxing. The surrounding areas are pretty and fun to visit.

The whole city is a great get away, the gardens are beautiful and lots of sightseeing. You cant rely put any rating in just this location because is just part of the whole attraction. Theres the public library and the onsen museum which is pretty nice as well.

The old station looks more stylish compare to the new one~ of course also very simple. People can have some fun inside of the old train.

Located right next to xin Beitou metro station. A small station for you to look for souvenirs and visit some old refurbished trains. There’s a hot spring for hand near the entrance. Has special stamp for collections (纪念章）. We bought reg visitor tour bus route ticket here for 39 yuan.
