A New Rosewood Hotel for Hong Kong’s Victoria Dockside - AFAR
"A purpose-built performing arts venue focused on Cantonese opera, opened early in the district's development to showcase traditional performance arts." - Kate Appleton
Interesting architecture. The Grand Theatre interior was beautiful; seats are comfortable and generously spaced. The acoustic is also not bad.
The main entrance is hugely open to the outside without a gate/door so that area could get hot and humid in summer days like now.
Directly connected to the Austin Station so it’s very convenient if taking the train. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Haven’t been to the shops and restaurants yet so can’t comment on those.

A stunning architectural space dedicated to Cantonese opera and other traditional arts, the Xiqu Centre is well worth a visit for its peaceful atmosphere, elegant design, and immersive exhibits. It’s easy to spend a relaxing moment there, soaking in the fusion of tradition and modernity, even without attending a performance.
Perfect for the culturally curious and lovers of local heritage. 😎

A lovely construction. Don’t miss if you visit Hong Kong. Catch a show or just hang out in the building where there are open spaces for everyone. I watched an afternoon show and was able to use the public transportation easily.

The building's architectural design is truly impressive, showcasing an elegant and contemporary aesthetic. Its sleek lines and graceful silhouettes create a striking visual impact, while modern materials add a touch of sophistication. The thoughtful integration of large glass panels not only enhances its visual appeal but also allows for an abundance of natural light to flood the interior spaces, making them both inviting and luminous. Overall, combining these elements results in a building that feels both stylish and cutting-edge.

very nice structure, lots of public space, direct access from Austin MTR station exit E. We had dinner at one of the restaurants, pretty good!

What an amazing experience! We bought tickets for the Tea House Theatre experience and it offered complimentary dim sum and tea with the Chinese Opera. The show was super approachable for someone who is unfamiliar with Chinese Opera, and provided very fun and engaging 20 minute pieces ranging different types of opera styles. They also showcased the Chinese Instruments too!
Moreover, the building was magnificent! I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hong Kong and looking for local culture. I look forward to bringing more friends here and visiting more shows!

Modern concert hall. Went there to watch Ichiko Aoba. Acoustics was so good, view from the top was also great. Location is a 15-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui. The ushers were helpful and they also speak English.

The viewing experience included "The Sound of Music" and "Life of Pi." The expansive venue did not offer seating prior to the screenings.
Following each visit, the absence of clear signage for taxi services and similar transportation options presented a challenge for departing patrons.

Interesting entrance to the building opening up to an oval ceiling. There are some restaurants inside the building and it's directly linked to the Austin road MTR station. Pretty convenient site.

Yelp
Sloppily managed. The education and exhibition hall at the Koshan Theatre is much better than the one here. The managers do not know how to set up an exhibition seriously. They set up signs to direct people to a shuttle going to West Kowloon Cultural District. But once you follow the signs to the MTR Station, there are no more signs and you are lost.
