Disappointing; Poor room condition, very unprofessional handling of payment issue, self check-in only.
The room was in poor condition — with multiple damages, taped-up windows, marks and scratches on the walls. It was far too expensive considering the state of the room.
The hotel operates with self check-in only, which made communication and problem-solving more difficult when issues arose.
We extended our stay by one night and had to upgrade the booking to remain in the same room, which required an additional payment of €10. I was told to pay this amount at checkout. However, the next day I received both a message with a link asking me to pay the €10 within one hour and a phone call from the hotel insisting that I make the payment immediately. I paid it online, even though I had been instructed to settle it at checkout.
When we returned to our room that night, our key cards had been disabled. We had to go back to reception and explain the situation. At first, the staff didn’t believe that I had paid online and even claimed that online payment wasn’t possible. After some time, they eventually found the payment in their system and reactivated our cards.
I found this entire situation very unprofessional — being called, inconvenienced, and spoken to disrespectfully over €10 was completely unnecessary. Overall, it was a disappointing and unpleasant experience.
