This is a no frills place with plenty of locals eating in and ordering takeout. I sat down and was promptly brought a menu. I ordered the tumeric sticky rice with everything and it was so good. With the sauces its salty goodness and then you add a little sweet sauce. Also the pickled cucumbers on the side adds a nice refreshing element. Service was fast. Very good

got recommended this place by my hotel and loved it!! i got the turmeric sticky rice with chicken, pate (must try!!) and marinated fried “omelette”. it came with a side of cucumbers and it was a delicious meal! a bit below 90k with iced tea which is more expensive than comparable street food stalls

This shop sells famous sticky rice in Hanoi. The rice is soft and sticky, with lots of toppings. But you have to wait a long time, and the price is quite high.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Hanoi, a must visit if you're exploring the Old Quarter. It is one of the best sticky rice we've tried so far. We ended up coming back again for another dinner during our 4 day stay in Hanoi

This is street food, so do not expect much in terms of setting, but for what it is, it is delicious. Fresh, authentic, and very good value. A great spot to try real local flavors without spending much.

The food was delicious and very affordable. We didn’t have to wait long for the food, I think 5 mins which is a reasonable amount of time. We came here to eat quite late so there was only one variety available to eat which we were ok with. Only negative was we did see a cockroach running around, but what did you expect? This is Vietnam after. Regardless this place was a great place to eat and value for money.

🌅 Xôi Yến – Best Sticky Rice Breakfast in Hanoi! If you’re in Hanoi and looking for the perfect early morning bite, Xôi Yến is the spot! 🌾 Their sticky rice is warm, fragrant, and perfectly chewy – topped with your choice of delicious treats like shredded chicken, pork floss, egg, or crispy shallots. It’s flavorful, filling, and super affordable. Service is fast, and the place opens early – ideal for travelers or locals on the go. Authentic, satisfying, and pure Hanoi comfort food. A must-try! 🥢✨🇻🇳

We had dinner before seeing this place and had to try. We got an order of special, pork belly on the side to share, and 2 bottles of Hanoi beer. It comes with a side of cucumber salad to cut the grease which is greatly appreciated. Came to 132,000VND or $5.5 USD. Sticky rice is nicely cooked, soft sticky but not mushy. Just sticky enough that we put the stewed pork belly (thit kho) on top and it soaks up the broth makes it even more delicious. The only nitpicking is the pork belly is too thinly cut, I’d much rather them cut in a bigger size and leave the skin on. Otherwise, all the toppings are so yummy. The pate was the highlight, I’d just get sticky rice and pate on its own again.
