Pros: friendly, welcoming and warm staff. Great service! The desert with a donut fried in the shape of an ice cream cone was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly executed.
Cons: the 17 course tasting menu is well-done but no surprises or exciting flavour combinations to be experienced sadly. A lot of excellent ceviche dishes but the main gimmick is liquid nitrogen frozen leche de Tigre, and experiencing that once is enough, when it’s repeated it’s a bit of a head scratcher. The restaurant was quite empty when I visited and there is no beverage pairing, cocktails are also very expensive and weren’t top notch.
If trying to decide which restaurant to visit in Lima I would highly recommend visiting Merito and giving Xoma a pass if you’re pressed for time.
