"Stay and Explore Xtabi's Caves Swimming and snorkeling around Xtabi (pronounced "X-tah-bee") Resort's underwater caves are a unique experience and a well-kept secret from first-timers. While it's a great place to stay, overshadowed by places like Rockhouse Hotel, you don't have to be a guest to enjoy this "meeting place of the Gods" as the name describes. You'll want to have lunch at the casual, outdoor restaurant first--choices are excellent and include club sandwiches to jerk chicken (even if a tad pricier than from the street grills). After lunch and a rest, change into your swimwear and make your way carefully down the steps until you reach a sandy cove entrance into the sea, beside caves and jutting rocks. Splash in and come out on the front side of the cliffs, where there are ladders to exit or enter as well, if you're feeling a bit timid. A laid back environment, gorgeous waters--just a tad more jade-colored on this end, for some reason--and underground caves ideal for photo ops make Xtabi a great spot to spend the afternoon. When you tire, climb back up to sip on a Dirty Banana and sunbathe on one of the platforms beside splashing waves."

Great hotel in Negril west end. Budget friendly. Great value. Best cliff views and diving. Or walk down stairs through caves to ocean. Rooms are clean, cool. Well above its price point. Favourite place for chilling on porch, cooling off in pool, and enjoying sunset.

We spent the day at Xtabi Resort in Negril and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! This beautiful cliffside spot offers everything you could want for a relaxing and adventurous day.||We started by exploring the caves—absolutely stunning—and then did some cliff jumping, which was thrilling yet safe. The sea was calm and crystal clear, perfect for a bit of snorkelling too.||A special shoutout to Georgette at the bar, who was so warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. We spent some time sunbathing on the cliffs before enjoying a delicious lunch—the fish burgers and wings were amazing.||After lunch, we were kindly offered the use of the private pool, tucked away in a peaceful garden surrounded by fruit trees. We had the whole area to ourselves—pure bliss!||To finish off the perfect day, we headed back to the restaurant and watched the sunset over the ocean. Simply breathtaking.||Xtabi isn’t just a resort—it’s an experience. Highly recommend visiting, even just for the day. We’ll definitely be back!

i wanted a nice relaxing vacation and was fighting if i wanted to stay on the cliffs or seven mile beach. i ultimately chose the cliffs for my first time visiting negril. xtabi made my experience nice and relaxing. i stayed in the cottage but next time will stay in the loft by the water. it’s so pretty, lush and rustic. the front desk was amazing and kind. always said good morning. also, please go to the cliffs and swim in the ocean. it was so beautiful i wanted to cry because living in la i’m stuck with beautiful beaches but the cold pacific ocean. 😭 and then grab lunch at the restaurant. they had a lot of vegan options for me which was nice. the staff was friendly and accommodating for me. thank you so much xtabi for welcoming me to jamaica and making my birthday so special. i cannot wait to come back! ✨ i also want to note that i visited during hurricane season so there was some outage. i’m used to it because i frequent tropical destinations and have experienced this before. there was an outage for 12 hours due to the thunderstorm. but after that, it was all good. just be mindful of your tolerance. that’s all.

Whilst checking in I could tell Chanese was a rookie. Hence a newbie , this grown woman was there being a condescending but I brushed that off as I knew when you’re new that was expected because I’m in the industry. After checking in by the elder lady I was escorted to my superior room. This is where the DISASTER started! Pee in the toilet, no soap , no toilet paper as if the room hasn’t been dealt with all day. The grounds were trash as if I was in the ghetto. -2/10 don’t recommend. Do the restaurant and ask for Leslie I think that her name and Jessica. Food is to tier. DONT STAY ON THE HOTEL ROOMS.

Close to the caves, spaceful, peaceful. Good for resting. However there was no drinking water in the room, no cups or glasses. There was a problem with a safe, that staff couldn't fix for two days. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

I only came here for the cliffs and I was pleasantly surprised to find no one! The views are spectacular and you can access the cliffs/caves as long as you stay to buy a drink/food. It’s a great deal that you won’t find anywhere else in Negril in terms of affordability.

Amazing experience! Leslie, our server, was amazing! She had such great recommendations on the menu and was a kind, attentive, and friendly waitress! I highly recommend the crab cakes, fish escovitch, and the Jamaican chicken.

Had fun! Service was great, food was good and we explored the cave after, which was a fun after lunch activity. Definitely going back this time with swimsuit in hand.
