"Stay and Explore Xtabi's Caves Swimming and snorkeling around Xtabi (pronounced "X-tah-bee") Resort's underwater caves are a unique experience and a well-kept secret from first-timers. While it's a great place to stay, overshadowed by places like Rockhouse Hotel, you don't have to be a guest to enjoy this "meeting place of the Gods" as the name describes. You'll want to have lunch at the casual, outdoor restaurant first--choices are excellent and include club sandwiches to jerk chicken (even if a tad pricier than from the street grills). After lunch and a rest, change into your swimwear and make your way carefully down the steps until you reach a sandy cove entrance into the sea, beside caves and jutting rocks. Splash in and come out on the front side of the cliffs, where there are ladders to exit or enter as well, if you're feeling a bit timid. A laid back environment, gorgeous waters--just a tad more jade-colored on this end, for some reason--and underground caves ideal for photo ops make Xtabi a great spot to spend the afternoon. When you tire, climb back up to sip on a Dirty Banana and sunbathe on one of the platforms beside splashing waves."

We were at Xtabi in December, and decided to take our twin girls for a quick trip to celebrate their college graduations a week ago. They have a great two bedroom cottage by the pool, which we enjoyed. Everything was perfect as usual. The staff at Xtabi is fantastic. We really appreciate Michael and Paul, who are there to help us with anything we need. The office staff is great, and the restaurant has some of the best service in Negril. They also give you rolls and a cup of soup to start your meal, which is also rare in Negril. It is such a great location and value. We will continue to stay there every year until the boss man decides to kick me out. There is no way he would kick out my wife, because she is a goddess!!

Beautiful, quiet place! Nice, clean rooms; beautiful garden, and restaurant/bar on the cliffs. Great for swimming, jumping, and hanging out. Loved the caves! Lots of restaurants and bars nearby within walking distance. About 4km walk to the white sand beach through Negril. Absolutely perfect for my solo getaway!

Quiet veranda setting covered and uncovered areas on the cliff. The sunset must be awesome. Customer service was great

So here we are in one of the most sought-after areas of Jamaica known for its cliffs and beaches. With so many options of where to eat and what you do we found ourselves drawn to visit this restaurant after reading the reviews with guest photos, but was it as the reviews suggest? We were excited to see reasonable prices posted in the photo section of the review platform but were very discouraged shortly after showing up and comparing the actual updated real-time menus that were considerably more than the photos suggest, when I say more we are talking 50% more in most cases, so beware the current pricing is inline with most of the other local restaurants that are in my mind way to expensive for what you get food wise. Please don't hold your breath at any time while waiting for a server and or the food you've ordered unless you are practicing for the dives you will be taking shortly after. The physical attractions they have while visiting this cliff lovers oasis are top-notch, to say the least, as you can see in the photos I'll leave here. I'll have to say that all and all this is a great bang for your buck as they should really charge for an entry fee alone, and that's why they've received a 4 star rating from this vacationer.

I love XTABI. I have never stayed there but always go to swim, eat and drink. Staff are always welcoming. Beautiful spot on the cliffs. Also, my favorite dinner spot.

Just stopped in to see the caves, they have the best access to cliff swimming and caves I've seen so far. Plus it only costs the price of some beers. Just buy a drink and explore! Fantastic snorkeling!

Great sunset vista. Wonderful experience of the cliff caves. You can swim straight from the caves into the sea. Food is tasty, not super pricey.

On Wednesday November 20, 2024, my wife and I checked into to the Xtiba hotel in Negril, Jamaica. On Thursday November 21, 2024, between the hours of 10pm and 11pm....my wife and heard heard the knob to our door rattling and we remained quiet since we didn't expect anyone. Shortly after the rattling I heard a click, identical to the one the lock makes when it is opened with the manual key follow by a push and shakes for a few minutes. The deadbolt was engaged and this prevented the intruder(s) from entering. Eventually, there was no more noise coming from the door and we remained silent for the entire time. I was unable to sleep after this and at approximately 1 am on Friday November 22, 2024, I went to use the restroom and observed that the door was unlocked and only secured by the deadbolt. I reengaged the door knob lock as it was in perfectly working order.||On Friday November 22, 2024, at approximately 8:20am, I spoke with the assistant manager(Donna Gibbon) of the Xtabi Hotel and told her what happened. I asked her who has keys to the room and she ignored the question and requested that she refund me then stated she did not get paid yet for the transaction so she can't refund me. She refunded me only a $20 cash deposit that was taken at check-in. I vacated Xtiba on November 22, 2024, immediately at the end of the conversation. ||It must be noted that:|| The reservation was made via Jetblue Vacations from November 20-25 November 2024.||At check in, I was charged additional for air conditioning. ||The room have no telephone and no numbers were given for emergency contact. ||It appears that a key might have been used to opened the door without permission and at no point I lost the one key that was provided to me. ||On November 22, 2024, at 8:11pm I received a phone call from Xtiba and they are saying the manager on the night shift inadvertently opened my door because he was trying to access the incorrect balcony, and can't explain why he didn't call me, knock and announces himself not leave a note or tell anyone who works at hotel.||Neither Xtabi nor JetBlue Vacations hold them self accountable for any of these actions.||Be your own judge.
