Sandy and Dave, the new proprietors, have done a wonderful job with the hotel. They're absolutely brilliant hosts; engaging conversations who know the local area like the back of their hand.||||Sandy is excellent at recommending local attractions and activities and even organised a pottery workshop and wine tasting evening for me and my family, which was a lovely touch.||||Whilst the hotel kitchen isn't yet fully operational, this was no inconvenience whatsoever as there are at least half a dozen restaurants within Dolgellau town centre, literally on the doorstep, the nearest being directly across the road. ||||Sandy provided a delicious continental breakfast each morning, which set us up perfectly for the day.||||Thanks Sandy and Dave, we enjoyed our visit and hope to return again soon x

Now under new management. Sandy the exceptional manager made us feel comfortable, welcomed and valued, kindly arranging a surprise amenity in the room to help celebrate a special occasion. A clean room and incredibly comfortable bed awaited us with a two person bath overlooking town. Parking was available at the hotel at no extra charge. Breakfast in the morning was on time and exactly what we needed. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

What a lovely traditional welsh hotel in the heart of the village. We had a fantastic stay as a family of 4 and also sampled the wine tasting nearby. The rooms are expertly designed and we had a faultless sleep. Thank you for a memorable stay and we will be back !!

A gorgeous hotel in a lovely town.|We loved everything about our stay. The hotel rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Upon arrival there was a hamper in our room filled with goodies which was totally unexpected and a lovely extra special touch.||The hotel owners Sandy & Dave are so friendly and are also so knowledgable about the local area. They were able to recommend places to eat & visit.||Locally there are plenty of things to do; walks, a large children’s play area, pottery, wine tasting etc.||We had a perfect weekend and would definitely visit again.

I would thoroughly recommend Y Meirionnydd Hotel. Our room was huge and very well appointed. It has changed hands again since Pete H's review in June. Sandy, the new owner, is a great host and looked after us very well. When you go do cycle to Mawddach Trail, the scenery is stunning. Jonathan

The hotel is situated right in the Town and is a perfect location. It has recently been taken over and I would say that it was a lovely hotel. The room we had was huge and the bed was so comfy. Everywhere was very clean. Great breakfast and a warm and welcoming reception from Vicki and Gwynfor who couldnt have been more helpful. Great stay. Thanks

Yelp
A destination for dinner in Dolgellau! Exquisite food and incredible hospitality! The Welsh Beef was to die for and the Lamb, well, unbelievable! Only 10 tables so plan early!

This is a pleasant place to stay. Not cheap but of high quality. Breakfast is excellent with a great choice but slightly stingy with toast. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The rooms have freeview and a DVD player. Free WIFI is available.
