I love this family-owned deli and grocery store. It has the charming vibe of a large city bodega with the convenience of a suburban neighborhood location. The selection varies with the seasons and availability as any local market should. The halal food is made fresh for you to take away, or you can do your grocery shopping there if you would rather prepare it yourself.

I’ve always went to another Arabic food store in town but my aunt told me to try this place . I went last weekend and I got everything I needed and went to the register to ring out. I was not greeted, the women didn’t even make eye contact. She was too busy talking with another worker the whole time. That put me off from coming back to their shop. Kindness goes along way.

A very typical family owned grocery store jam packed with items. Ya Hala carries traditional sweets and a small grill for take out. The chicken shawarma with fries was reasonably priced. However, the chicken could have more flavorful. It is carved from the skewer and put on the grill. The fries were lightly seasoned and again could have been more flavorful. Willing to give it another try.

My go to store for lamb meat and grilled meats. They also have a surprising amount of Indian groceries

I have ordered food from your restaurant multiple times, but my recent experiences have been very disappointing. The first recent order, made by Alaa, was undercooked and rare, making it inedible. I contacted the restaurant, and a second order was made by someone else, but unfortunately, this order was also undercooked and tasted terrible. It was not even properly cooked and certainly not worth even a penny. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of the food. You may need to consider hiring a new chef to ensure the food is cooked properly. I hope you can address these issues to improve for future customers.

New to this area and I absolutely love going to Ya Hala Bakery and Grill everyone is so nice and always have great options.

Such a mixed reaction on this place. I blame myself for ordering a gyro, which was so bad, I threw it out. I can count on one hand the amount of food I've thrown out in my life. Shame on me for ordering Greek at a Middle Eastern place, should have definitely went shawarma or falafel. That said, what an amazing grocery store! As a Lebanese-American, this place took me back to my youth! Phenomenal selection of authentic Middle Eastern foods. I did try some cheesy flatbread and a meat pie from the grill side that were delicious. This place is a gem for certain, if you know kind of what authentic Arab foods you are looking for. They honestly need to take the gyro off the menu. Stick to what you know, I've had better gyros at Arby's and that's a really low bar. I'll be back, often!

Bro this is nasty shawarma they put more pickles than chicken, it's crunchy in the chicken is dried and has a smell to it and a after taste, and the beef looks like plastic it looks like it's been in the frizzed for like 6Y the. He took it out

My favorite middle eastern store ever anything and everything I need. They even have hot food... Fresh homemade bread or fresh pita bread different cheeses, olives veggies and even fresh meats

Great kabob!! Food is amazing but the last 3 times I called to order food from them they weren't willing to make the platters because they didn't make rice...and evidently weren't willing to make it....because evidently they don't make take out food food for a living... So great food if you're able to get it!

Beautiful in clean bakery and Grill! Most everything is handmade and homemade and is delicious and fresh! I have been to many Middle Eastern bakery and grills and this by far is one of the best. I highly recommend this place and the prices are good, people are very friendly and again I am amazed at how clean everything is.

OK so first thing I have to say is if you plan on going here to order food to go plan on waiting about 20 or so minutes or call ahead. I did not know this and I used almost my entire lunch break waiting for food. The owner even told me after I had said I was on my lunch break in the future I should call ahead. They did feel bad that I used almost my entire lunch break waiting that they did give me some free desserts and they told me to eat my falafel while I was waiting for my other food and gave me some free tahini sauce. I wish I had known the wait was long because I was starting to get really irritated but they make the majority of their food fresh. I ordered the falafel which only comes in like a 12 piece. I kind of wish they had a smaller order. But don't think I didn't try to eat as many of those falafel is possible. It was very very good. Also I really enjoyed the tahini sauce. I tried to make my own falafel at home and it just does not work. These were made to order. I saw the guy forming my falafel before deep frying them. Delicious. I also ordered the fattoush salad - They have two different sizes and for some reason I thought I or should order the large. That was completely unnecessary I should've ordered a small I was unable to finish the one that I ordered. It comes with fresh pita chips which you can tell they're fresh because I brought them home and within a few hours they were no good. So eat them when you get them. The dressing on the salad could've had a little more flavor. I've had fattoush with more flavorful dressing from other places but it was still good. The desserts they gave me were delicious. I don't have a huge sweet tooth but they were good. Also I don't really know they were lol Overall the staff and the owner are super friendly and I would definitely return but I would absolutely 100% call ahead with my order before going there.

Genuinely some of the best middle eastern food I've ever had!! I honestly cannot say this enough. The place is primarily a grocery store with an attached kitchen to order, but there is no space to eat inside, so we ended up just eating outside in the parking lot. We got the chicken shawarma and felafel wraps, and both were SO GOOD... super fresh and flavorful. The service is a bit slow because they make everything to order, but the owners are really friendly and gave us a few extra felafels for the wait. Highly recommend!!

I'm really not sure what to make of this place. I was eager to try the food, based on the good reviews and my love for Mediterranean cuisine. Upon walking in the store, though, my desire to order anything faded. I was planning to get shawarma but the shawarma spits were turned off and the small bit of meat that remained didn't look very good. I can only think that perhaps all of their business happens during lunch time and I just came in at a bad time. They have prepared food in the refrigerated case so I picked out some hummus, which looked great and tastes great! So, I will definitely come back and get hummus to-go again but I'm weary of ever ordering a meal here. It's a grocery store with the prepared foods in the back, and nowhere to sit.

It is a great grocery store, good variety of meat and Middle Eastern selections available. They have a fresh vegetable section so you can get some great produce. Some Indian/Pakistani regional spices and products are available. The Shawarma grill is great and very organised. Prices are awesome I recommend the chicken shawarma, the gyro is very fresh but on the salty side. Sauces are very refreshing. Great freshly made hummus is also available.

Fabulous consistently fresh food. Bread and shawarma are my favorites. Their hummus is also brilliant. You must try their in house prepared meats ready to grill! Also, they have the best shatta i have ever had!

From the customer service to the food, 5 stars all day long! We ordered food and walked around the store while we waited. The owner was so extremely nice to us, gave us a complimentary dessert because it had just come out of the oven and he wanted us to try it. Because it was clearly our first time there, he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed. I will definitely be back!

If you live in Westlake or North Olmsted, you probably drive by here on a pretty regular basis. Bet you didn't know they have great shawarmas. Well, they do. For the same price of Taco Bell or McDonald's you get get actual food made specifically because you ordered it. This is definitely a great place to throw into your takeout repertoire.

If you haven't stopped, you gotta try. Best falafel, hands down. And an order of 6 for only $3, come on... this is my new go-to. And they're extremely friendly people - don't be shy.

A huge boon to North Olmsted! Middle eastern market with lots of the frozen items you are looking for, some fresh veg, genuinely fresh pita - soft and pliable, and really well made takeout items, and a variety of beverages and pickles. The deli chef is an excellent cook. What we tried from the deli over the course of four visits: Lebnah - a soft cheese with spicing. Spicy (if you're not used to spice). Excellent. Hummus - made with quality Lebanese tahini. A little different than I make it, but quite good. Baba Ganoush - creamy garlic and eggplant Tabbouli/taruli - made right. A parsley salad with a smattering of bulgur, seasoned just right. Breaded cauliflower - very nice. Deep fried, flavored breading Spinach pie - thumbs up from the other eaters. I didn't have one. Meat pies - two varieties tried. Both well made, one with more cumin than the other. Fresh very large flat bread - sort of afghani style, my knowledge is limited here. Fresh and pliable. Kusa - a garlicky squash dip. Yum. Fried zucchini in tahini. Yes. Manakish zatar, manakish cheese and zatar. Small flatbreads with cheese and/or zatar, an herb blend. Delightful. Various desserts, including nougat with apricot, and several fried and sugared desserts, names unknown to me. All good quality.

Best classic wraps around. Place is a gem. Kafta sandwich and Gyros are authentic, never frozen and always awesome. Great Halal selection of meats that they will cut for you (or grab yourself a hole baby lamb) and their grocery selection is a pleasure. Great ethnic candies, spices and once again... try their Kafta sandwich and maybe a spinach pie!!! Super friendly and impossible not to come back. Btw... they take their time with their food so deal with it. :)

Hmmm... Not sure how to rate this place. It is definitely more of a grocery than a sit down kind of place. I went because all the great Yelp reviews and to be honest was pretty disappointed. I came with my daughter hoping to grab a quick bite. I kinda expected a place a little like Aladdins but this is definitely more casual than that. Like, go to a deli counter and order. Prices weren't bad but there were a couple red flags for me. First off, there isn't really a table to eat at. At least not the kind that you would expect in a restaurant. When I asked they took me to what felt like a back room area with a number of torn up chairs and a table. Didn't give a fork or knife. I watched one of the staff stir the rice with his bare hand after touching some other kitchen stuff. Kabob was tasty, I'll admit. Kafta had a chunk (about 1 mm) of some hard substance that was either a small pebble or chunk of bone in it. Dolmades were fair. We got a cheese bread that wasn't a bad deal. It was OK. Not sure if I understand all the glowing reviews. I'd take an Aladdins Flavor Savor any day over this and it's not that much more. Also I can't shake that image of that dude putting his bare hands into the rice and stirring it. And I think that he was smoking outside too later on.

Unlike any Mediterranean food I've ever had- and not in a good way. This meal gave me food poisoning for 2 days. The meat was sour. The "salad" is just diced tomatoes, cucumbers and WAY too much herb- no lettuce of any kind tho. The "personal salad" has a filmy white cream dressing. The platters are skewers (1 per person) and a bunch of condiments/toppings. Expensive for what you actually eat. The Hummus was actually good however, they don't serve it with any pita or veggies. Not sure how you eat hummus without something to dip in it? Side note- I ordered this via GrubHub and although it is not the restaurants fault, the driver never showed to pick up the food. You prepay so she received her money- she even confirmed that the food was received even tho she never showed to pick it up. In the end I had to call both the restaurant and GrubHub 2.5 hours later to receive my food. Perhaps that is why it made me so ill.

Great find on Yelp, as I was shopping in the area. My daughter and I love Middle Eastern food. We stopped in on a Saturday evening. She ordered a Chicken Shwarma sandwich from the grill. While we waited, I perused the aisles. The meat case contained marinated chicken, lamb and other goodies at great prices. I got marinated thighs, and tenders, along with pita bread, homemade hummus and taboule, also at a great price. We arrived home and the Shwarma sandwich was so large that we split it. The meat was tender, flavorful and juicy. Also the staff was extremely nice, I can't wait to return when in the area again.

Great customer service. Delicious food. The garlic naan bread was my favorite! Tabouli seasoning was perfection!!! We had an uber eats at work, and the order was wrong, the owner himself came and delivered a new order to our job. Much appreciated!! I got a spicy chicken shawarma and it was delish!! Salim edak! Full of flavor!

I stop by here every now and then on my way back to Buffalo to grab my mom her Middle-Eastern grocery wish list. I used to go somewhere else until I found this place driving by. I will not go anywhere else, even though this is a 30 minute drive for me. They are unbelievably clean and organized, everything looks fresh and they are genuine and honest people. They have a decent selection of everything and the pricing is fair compared to other places. Last time I came in, I had a big haul and they insisted to carry it out to my car. I felt like family. I have yet to try out their actual cooked meals, although I've heard nothing but great things about it. I will be heading there today for moms haul! :)

I stopped in for some groceries and a few take out items. I highly recommend their foule (fava beans) and stuffed grape leaves. I believe it is run by a family, and each person I've encountered is friendly and helpful. The take out items are fresh and delicious and the grocery is well-stocked with a wide variety of items. I found this place while in town to visit family. If I was around more often I'd certainly be a regular.

Very good service and fresh food is outstanding. The Zatar/Cheese bread, Tabuli, Baba Ghanooj, and Hummus are always fresh and delicious.

First, customer service & hospitality is top notch, far better than one would except to an encounter. With that being said, food vastly exceeds the quality of a deli! Best falafel I've ever had and my wrap was the perfect balance of falafel, veg, fresh herbs, and heat - all for $4.99! Ask for their special tea, so unique and delicious. Don't pass this little gem up!

more of a carry out than a sit down. but the hummus is by far the BEST that i've ever had. the young man running the show is super friendly and will help you understand what everything is if you're not familiar to it. i stop by almost every chance i get to try everything they make. it's all freshly made that same day!!! definitely worth checking out!!! i will always recommend!

Um, I've got to say I have mixed reviews about this place. I was craving a gyro and since This place was nearby I thought I'd stop in after seeing the pictures on yelp. Oh how I was deceived! After walking in I noticed how filthy the floors were and there was a fly or two circling about. The vertical spits that are usually used to cook this tasty meat were not in use. Instead the gentleman who appeared friendly enough, pulled some giant bowl out from behind the deli and threw the meat onto the stove griddle....it looked like steak. And it kind of tasted like steak.

They were listed on Ubereats and had some good reviews. I decided to order and shortly thereafter, my order was canceled. I placed another order thinking I might have hit a wrong key but that was also canceled without any explanation. It was around 7:30pm on a Wed and the least they could have done was to call or texted me with the reason to cancel. Unprofessional. I will not waste my time or spend my money on a business that has no basic courtesy.

The name of this place is very misleading!! You would think it's more like Alladin's bakery, where they have baked goods and dine-in area!! The place is more like a grocery store with a deli section to order food to-go!! Their hummus was good, and the spinach pies were good too but didn't have enough filling!! I normally come here for groceries and snacks!! It's always clean and employees are always helpful!! It's definitely worth it to check out this place!! In the future, I'd like to try their shawarma and other prepared foods!!

The atmosphere was casual but it felt very homey. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food is awesomely tasty. The staff is correct, the falafel is the best tasting, crunchy, yet moist.

We stopped in out of curiosity and were blown away by the amazing aromas and friendly staff! We left with some tasty international treats and will defiantly be back next time we are in the area .

If you are in the North Olmsted area and looking for some middle eastern food look no further, Ya Hala Bakery is the place! Let me start by saying their service is great and their food is so delicious. The portion sizes are huge and the food is very rich in favor, you wouldn't go wrong with anything you order. To even add to the experience the store was super clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere. Best Arabic food in Cleveland hands down! Everything is always fresh from the succulent chicken to the softest bread! Plus they have a whole line of middle eastern groceries. While you're there you can even pick up your self some hookah tobacco!

I ordered for the first time and I think this is the best around. Not only was food delicious but the presentation was beautiful. Presentation is not something I normally noticed, but you can't help it in this case!

I LOVE Ya hala! I go by badgirl_hustle on IG and I've done a review for this place for my followers. I love how clean the place is and how friendly the staff is! And omg!!!! The bread with the cheese is to die for! If you're in the area for lunch I highly recommend this place!

This place is the worst. They catered a party and burned the food. No apology no customer service. They argued with us about the food being the best and it wasn't. She is literally arguing with about the food she burned. No money back no nothing. More than half of the food was burned and thrown away. Neber again ever this place is a joke.

This place is great. I have had there to go food twice. its been amazing both times. The super market looks great. I am not sure what a lot of the stuff is but the staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had. I will def be returning here often.

What a fun middle eastern grocery and deli! I not only had one of the best chicken shawarma's EVER, but the gentleman that waited on me was friendly and very informative about the food. I got hummus, pitta bread and the shawarma. All very fresh. In fact there was a sale - 2 sandwiches for $10! (Yes....I got two and feasted on it the next day!) I will def be back.

Scary. Can't believe the last review. Not sure what they were thinking. Alladins on Carnegie is the real deal. This is a shell of a deal. Turned in my restaurant.com for another deal based on my walking into the store . Ick

If I can give this store zero stars I would. It's not even worthy of one star. I made an account just to comment on this business. They added money thinking I wouldn't notice it on my receipt. And they over weighed my meat. Dishonest people. I thought they had a good store from these reviews but I was wrong. Never shopping here again. Neither should you.

My family ordered from here, I went in to pick the order, I have to say I've never seen a cleaner middle easter grocerie story. It's organized, not overwhelming, and very clean. The aiels are very easy to view and find what you need. Clean produce and meat. The food they cool for catering looks delicious we can't wait to eat it! The staff is super friendly. They smile and are sweet when u come in. They are always asking if there is something you can do and apologize for any delays or mistakes. I have to say. I've been to my fair share of resturants in the north olmsted and parma area, this has got to be the best. I hope they stay open for a long long time, my family is officially relocating arabic store to this one. Thank you for everything. And thank you most of all for the amazing service. I don't know where there are bad reviews I had to go in my self to see this, and my inlaws were not kidding about how nice and clean the staff are.

Came in since I saw all the 5 star reviews. I got a beef shawarma, which was the best I've ever had. Prices were good too, so I will definitely be back to try more stuff. I understand why this place gets good reviews.
