Truly an experience. Going through the healing water circuit in one of the most beautiful spa experiences I’ve ever had was a dream. My mom had never had a spa experience so I wanted her first one to be special. Yäan exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be more grateful! It’s something you have to experience for sure.

Heaven on earth. What a wonderful experience. The design is absolutely gorgeous, a dream! Walking through the property is magical and the massage was delicious. Just what I needed. The sauna, steam room, and lounge pool area, even the changing area was divine. They served us tea as we admired nature all around us and were filled with gratitude to be there. 🙏🏻

If you are looking for a place to relax and time to unwind... this is the right place. It was such a great experience. We had a really good time using the facilities and then the massage sessions with a professional ladies. The place is super clean and they will take care of you from the time you arrive till you leave the place. Highly recommended.

Google
Amazing spa. Best I've been to. We did a ritual that included a body scrub, 90 min massage, and mini facial. Completely worth it! Best massage I've had in so long.

A great space to chill and regain you centre (and a great massage). Had the garden of yäan package. Well worth the money. The herbal bath was bliss.

Absolutely stunning grounds and the yoga instructor was great. Way too much intentional smoke though. Little incense fires everywhere--I would have preferred no smoke with my yoga class!

I’ve been to Yaan three times. The first two were great experiences - welcoming, nice water circuit, and a hot tea and snack after my service. Today I was very disappointed. In the steam room they have two vents producing steam. You have to walk past them to get to the steam room seats. While walking past I felt a sharp string and jumped. The steam burned my leg pretty badly. I let them know and there was no apology given or sympathy. They did give me an ointment for it. No partial refund or consolation for the services. We also didn’t get a tea or snack upon our exit. I’m not sure if they removed that part of the experience or withheld it because I showed them my burn and was clearly disappointed that they didn’t warn us about the searing hot vents. Interestingly enough, they have bowls of herbs and water sitting in the chairs where the vents are - they clearly know about the hazard. I asked them to warn other guests about the vent. I spoke to another guest upon leaving and they received no warning about the burn risk in the steam room and the vent that is obviously a hazard. Should they contact me to refund services or provide any kind of consolation I’ll remove my review.

This place is a must for me. Every time we come to Tulum I get an energetic massage here because its always exceptional! You get an hour extra to go into the sauna, steam room, heated pool and cold plunge. The gardens are gorgeous and the staff is phenomenal. It’s expensive! but if you can do it I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Truly an experience. The design is absolutely gorgeous. My partner booked the experience-- a little pricey but definitely worth it. We did the "Garden Of Yäan" -- holistic massage followed by (the best part) a healing bath of freshly picked herbs, flowers, salts and soothing therapeutic oil. I felt mad refreshed and relaxed after this entire experience. The sauna, steam room, and lounge pool area, even the changing area was divine. Yäan exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be more grateful! It's something you have to experience for sure. The front desk staff was pretty accommodating (I didn't really care for the manager but everyone else made it worthwhile).

Yelp
Add this spot to your Tulum itinerary!!! You will not be disappointed. The rain caused us to cancel a boat day, and massages seemed like a sweet consolation prize. I reached out on WhatsApp, they were very responsive, and worked with our schedule getting all 4 of us in at the same time. Definitely plan to arrive an hour early and take advantage of their healing water circuit. The facilities were very clean, and they have created a beautiful, welcoming and relaxing environment. This was one of the best massages I have had in a long time. I highly recommend adding a spa day at Yaan to your trip - girls weekend, couples trip, or solo travel!

Yelp
We booked a private yoga class and confirmed that we would also be able to use the amenities (AND PREPAID OVER A MONTH EARLIER) however when we arrived, they tried to say it was an extra 60$ per person to use the healing circuit. Even after I showed them our messages they still made us all pay extra and we had to come back 3 hours later. After all of that one of our friends got horribly burned by the steam in the steam room. The woman came in after that already happened to warn us about the hot steam nozzle. What a horrible experience!!!

Yelp
This place is pricy but worth it. My friend and I had Swedish 60 min massages here, and both agreed it was the best massage we'd ever received. Rosi was my massage therapist, and she gave amazing pressure where I needed it, and was able to give some much needed chiropractic action to my neck and shoulders. In addition, if you get any service, you are able to use the healing waters (which is 4 rooms including a steam room, a dry sauna, hot pool, and warm pool, along with a cold shower. This was a really magical experience as well. Lastly, they have an amazing daily treetop yoga practice (ours was taught my Jessica). Jessica was an incredible instructor. It was beyond perfect, both the setting and the practice. I'd recommend for all levels! If you are thinking about this, don't think- just do it! The yoga, massage, healing waters. Oh and also everyone we came into contact with was kind and great service contrary to negative reviews!

Refund so I'm add this review to yelp.

Yelp
100% go an hour before your service and use the facilities. The space is absolutely gorgeous and you have the option to go from steam room to cold shower to sauna to cold pool to warm pool then to your service. After all of that, I said, even if the massage sucks, it was worth it all just for that first hour. I fed an 8 month old pregnant iguana. The place is gorgeous but I do have to say the girls at the front desk weren't super friendly at all. Overall amazing

Yelp
The front desk was horrible. They were rude and non-welcoming. At the end of the massage we were never offered any tea/water, no one escorted us out. Not the type of service you're expecting for what's supposed to be a 5 star experience. The best part about Yaan was the pools before the massage. The rooms were lovely and service in there was good. Besides these waters it felt like the experience could have been had in a strip mall. The massage wasn't really explained and it's a very specific type of treatment. Not for everyone. We wrote down areas to focus on but don't know why as they did not at all focus on those spots. We heard from several locals in town after we went that most of the original Mayan staff quit because the owners only paid them 15% of the extremely exorbitant costs. Would not recommend and would never go back.

Yelp
Full Moon Temezcal Ceremony - what a profound experience! I booked this online a couple of weeks prior to coming. It's an intimate setting of about 10-12 people, so it's best to reserve in advance. I will not get into details about the ceremony here, (I suggest researching it elsewhere), but I am blessed to experience it. At the start of our time, a guide (who is multilingual) walks us through the estate and leads us to the shaman. Throughout the ceremony, everyone is kind and attentive. A very spriritually connecting experience. Front desk staff is very pleasant and there is a cute shop with artisans jewelery, crafts, and clothing. *i didn't take any pictures past the entrance, as I wanted to stay as present and aware as possible, but they do have an Instagram!*
google avatar

Yelp
This review is for the Temazcal moon ceremony. This happens roughly once every two weeks - if your trip's timing is right, I recommend you go. My partner and I went in not really knowing what it would entail, here are a few things you should know: - You will chant, sing, and sweat for 2.5h in near full darkness inside a "sweat lodge" - kind of like an earthen sauna. If you are claustrophobic or sensitive to heat you will struggle. One guy in our group had to bail. Personally I loved it. - You will be asked to share your fears and dreams with a room full of nearly naked strangers. It is an intimate soul-searching experience and will potentially make you uncomfortable. The only thing I didn't like about this ceremony was that we had a really bad translator who could barely speak english. Like, to the point where even the Mayan priest (who led the ceremony in Spanish and could also barely speak english) had to correct her. This made it hard for us to follow along.

Yelp
Our experience at Yaan was beautiful and nourishing in more ways than imagined. Initially we had planned on the Full Moon Temescal (a must-do if you're there for a full moon) and by the end of our trip we had indulged in massages, healing treatments, and cleansings. I have major digestive issues and traveling doesn't make it any easier, no matter what I try. I chose the Sobada Maya in order to alleviate discomfort. Although I felt like the price paid was somewhat hefty, I was open to the experience. The entire experience was worth every second and penny invested. Everyone who works there made the experience comforting and truly magical. You start off with a quick rinse and are led to an area where you are prepped for the treatment (can be done before or after). Laura, an amazing young lady, serves as your guide: 15 minutes in the steam room where she provides you a delicious scrub to rub all over. You have an option in rooms - some steam or a lot of steam - and you take in the smell of the herbs placed in water to begin the detoxification process. She prepares the water for your quick 15-30 second rinse in cold water to momentarily shock the body before she guides you into a sauna. In the sauna your body's temperature begins to regulate. Laura provides a cold, damp washcloth that has been soaked in water infused with delicious essential oils to place on your face. The coolness feels amazing and coupled with the sprays of more essential oils on your body, makes one feel warm and at ease. When time is up Laura guides you to a circuit pool where you rotate amongst 3 different types of massage-like experiences. The first entails standing on a silver plate that jolts your body - imagine standing on a small jumper without doing any of the work. The second is a waterfall-like experience where you allow water to fall on your shoulders. The water pressure feels great on the shoulders. The last like a hard-pressure hose that massages your lower back/hip area. I rotated among the 3 a few times until my 15 minutes were up. Laura then guides you from the pool to the final stop which is another pool. This one is warm and also relaxing. I chose to lay on a lounge chair attached to the side of the pool. When laying inside the pool, jets massage your entire body. The entire experience was a unique one for me. I loved it. Once time is up Laura introduces you to your guide who takes you through your treatment. Lorena was my guide and did an incredible job of getting deep down in the belly area and shifting things around a bit. I felt so much better and relaxed after my treatment. The essential oils, the massage, and her touch were all perfectly balanced. She was able to explain how to care for the belly to avoid inflammation which she explained is one of my belly culprits. My treatment was followed up with tea, honey, and dragonfruit brought in by the lovely Martita. I relaxed on lounge chairs and reconnected with myself and Laura. She was informative as was Martita. I had questions about healing, energy, and much more and they were so generous with their time. My magical experience at Yaan Wellness is one I want to share with all which is why I have invested the time in writing this. I can't wait to share this experience with my hubby. We are in the process of making plans to come together. Thank you Yaan Wellness for reminding me of the importance of giving more to self to overall be better to myself, but also all of those I impact. I'll see you soon!!

Yelp
The place is small but beautiful let me get that right. However, for the price paid, we got the most ridiculous massage ever. I mean for almost $200 per person for 60 mins, it is legitimate to expect a top of the line massage. Well, it was none of it, we got a very basic and quite rushed massage in one of the bungalows (and a cup of tea afterwards). Even by New York standards this was not more than $70 massage let alone Mexico. And the wifi was not even working...

Yelp
Wow! What a beautiful place to unwind and disconnect. I didn't take pictures because you're not allowed to use phones past a certain point, but it's for the best. I enjoyed every bit of this experience! When I walked in I was greeted and escorted to the changing station where I put on a robe. Then I walked to the pools where you can enjoy some time in the warm water. I did not do this because estoy embarazada when it is your time for your treatment they come to you. You are then escorted to your "hut" of you will. It felt so luxurious! Now I only got a massage. But there was a beautiful tub inside. I wish I knew what that was for! I THINK my masseuse was Rosado. With masks it's hard to make things out. She was so sweet!

Maggy H.

Yelp
Zero stars. I never felt so unwelcome before. The front desk receptionist was rude and snide with comments and not understanding at all. We had ample time and left one hour and half early to get there early for the temazcal ceremony but the address on the webSite wasn't exact so we got lost for half an hour and trying to call them. Then when we finally got there, the front desk lady said no refunds and not willing to work with us to reschedule or to even let us use the sauna or spa just for a lil. Complete waste of money.

Yelp
We came to Tulum for my friends bachelorette party. We started the morning doing yoga in a treehouse prior to our spa appointments. The rooms were very clean and unique. After the spa appointments we experienced their "healing waters" which takes you from hot to cold to hot to cold (supposed to be good for the muscles). I would recommend this place to anyone visiting. It has it all.

Yelp
I've had services at some of the highest rated spas in the world. Yaan Wellness surpassed all of my "bests" to create the ultimate nurturing experience. From the care taken with private parking, to the details in the front garden, fresh flowers, Mayan statue, fire and the smell of copal. This attention to detail contributed to a sensual and senses engaging experience upon arrival. The attendants at the front desk were incredibly attentive as were the guides during the healing water circuit. I've never had a completely nurturing, relaxing and nourishing encounter such as the one at Yaan. I was intent on researching the best spa in Tulum after having some serious health issues including digestive concerns. I read Cindy P's review and decided to chose Yaan and the Sobada Maya massage. Cindy provides an excellent description of the services so I will just speak of my treatment and overall impression. My therapist Andy (Andrea) was the most beautiful and amazing master healer. Her touch was magic and the experience embraced my mind, body and spirit. The Mayan healing techniques combined with the beautiful room overlooking the lush gardens provided a release from all stress and anxiety; an escape from cares and worries. It's been a long time since I've been able to completely "let go" and with Andy's assistance and touch, I accomplished just that. I was so impressed I booked two additional services - as I'm here for 3 weeks. If you want a unique, healing, restorative, nurturing and nourishing experience, Yaan Wellness Energy Spa is the place to receive all that and more!

Yelp
My best friend and I walked in the spa it looks beautiful and very relaxing. Unfortunately we didn't get to have the experience and we can't recommend anyone there. There was a young lady sitting behind the desk and a gentleman. She didn't even acknowledge us she seem to be too busy on her laptop . The gentleman also didn't greet us but we did. We took two seats and asked what was some of the services they provided. We were already feeling uncomfortable as if walking in was a bothered to them. He grab the QR code and said the services were there. We had already looked at the website it's the reason why we chose to go there. We only asked because we felt not welcomed. The lady looked as if her laptop had her too busy to even care we were sitting there. We got up and said thank you. They both responded you have a nice day. Not for one second did they bothered on asking if there was anything in particular that we were looking for. Our hotel offers a spa. We just wanted to try your place. Very disappointing that we didn't get the chance because of the people that you trust to have at your front desk. The face of your facility at that moment rather help your guests walk out than welcome them in. I hope someone reads this and can better train your staff. We don't live here but we love Tulum and we would never recommend your spa not because of your spa service again those two people made us feel si uncomfortable that we are sure you do provide great massages. We will never know. We humans love great service ,we work for that. You need to work on training those that are the face of your business.

Yelp
Hi I am having a hard time booking a stay for tomorrow morning my us number is 949-526-4828
google avatar

Neilani F.

Yelp
The worst experience ever along with the worst customer service! I have traveled all over the world and have gotten many massages and this has been by far the worst experience. For the price you pay for a massage, it should have been the best experience. Such a shame because the spa is beautiful.
google avatar

Walt W.

Yelp
Yaan wellness energy spa gave the best massage I've ever had. Just walking in to the place provided a healing energy. The price IS pretty expensive but that's because it isn't just a place for massages. An hour beforehand you get to experience their healing waters. This alone made you feel deeply relaxed. But the service is impeccable and everyone is extremely friendly. If you want to experience a truly healing experience, I 100% recommend Yäan!
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I recently visited Tulum for our honeymoon and decided to treat ourselves to a massage on our last day. We are so happy we chose Yaan! We partook in the Couples Divine package and were massaged into putty by two lovely women. The grounds are impeccable and are worth an exploration. They even cut some aloe from the rooftop garden for my wife's blister! 10 out of 10!
google avatar

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Fabulously relaxing- we had the Couples Divine Massage treatment and it was super special. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to luxuriate with a loved one. Pricy but feels like a true treat.
google avatar

Janice S.

Yelp
The treatments at this spa were well worth the high price. Each 60 + min massage included an hour water circuit therapy with a guide. We were also offered fresh tea and a fruit tray after. The aromas of fresh herbal/floral oils and Copal and were so calming. I loved seeing their medicinal herb garden and learning about the healing properties. If weever return, we'd like to try the Temazcal Ceremony.
google avatar

Miranda F.

Yelp
The grounds are beautiful so it gets the whole star but the actual service... I think my boyfriend half asleep could have given me a better massage. I should of known immediately this experience would be sub-par when the massuse looked at the list of places I asked her to work on and she said "I'm trained for feet and hands only." Hindsight is always 20/20 right? Then I lay down. The room has zero A/C and she put me under a blanket in 90 degree weather so I started sweating like a roasted pig immediately. Despite the pouring sweat, she never asked if I was comfortable or wanted less blankets. When I finally asked she responded, "we don't have anything thinner" ... No apologies or attempt to make me comfortable. So as I'm sitting there sweating, she starts the massage on my feet. At first I'm like I can barely feel this, but I give her some time to warm up. 15 minutes go by at the same weak pressure (think when your grandma gives you that light shoulder rub), so I ask if she can go a little deeper please. She does for about 30 seconds and then goes back to the light bird hands. 15 more minutes go by and I ask her again to go deeper. Same thing. 30 seconds of "OK I think she gets it" to "gr how much did we pay for this?!" There are so many spa and massage places in tulum, I feel like I got dupped based on the pretty sign and reception area. Please don't make the same mistake and take your money elsewhere (especially since it's 3x more than many other places around!).
google avatar

Huy H.

Yelp
Amazing service and ambience . Went here for a couples massage with my gf. Be sure to show up an hour early to your Massage to relax before hand.
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
Amazing!!!!! Get a massage with Frances she is truly INCREDIBLE!!!! There is a massage called Yaan Balancing and that's what I recommend. We did a couples massage and loved it. The room was beautiful and both of the therapist were very talented. I was with Frances and my husband said his masseuse was equally outstanding. Do yoga with Erin she is soooo good! I didn't have my phone with me but I so wish I got a photo of the jungle canopy from the yoga loft. Something I will always remember. Last but absolutely not least, do a Mayan Renaissance with Elizabeth to clear the soul. This place is absolutely worth a visit. Pricey, yes, but definitely worth it. The whole experience is outstanding. I booked everything online with Avi through email and the process was seamless. You have to prepay which is a little strange but really not a problem. Go here and you will feel so good!
google avatar

Merri M.

Yelp
I chose to do a Yaan facial. I have only had one other facial, and it was the memory of that bliss that caused me to pay $200 US in advance for this treatment. I stopped at Yaan ahead of time to book this, and was completely convinced it would be worth the price, given how beautiful the property and buildings are. On day of treatment, you are allowed to arrive one hour before your treatment to take advantage of the steam room and sauna. That was very lovely, and they serve lemongrass tea between steams. My facial was ok. Not a transportation into a blissful paradise. After it was over, I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. There was still mud mask caked into my eyebrow and smeared on the side of my face. Sad.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I will preface this that yes, this place is expensive ($240 plus gratuity). However, I get monthly massages and occasional facials at a nice spa stateside, and I pay roughly the same for equivalent services. And, it's like others have said, I spent an hour before my services in the sauna, steam room, and pools with a complementary body scrub and attentive service. Then my massage was lovely, and the facial was a perfect 30 minutes (a mini, they called it). It rained almost every day of our trip, so I was just happy to be doing something other than eating and reading a book under cover. So for 3+ hours of relaxation, I'm not mad at it.
google avatar

Devin W.

Yelp
Front desk lady was extremely rude and left me with no desire to get a massage or do yoga there. Seems like a nice place but her attitude left me with a bad taste. I've never left a bad review anywhere but I actually took the effort to write this...Just saying

Shakira L.

Yelp
I visited this Spa during my birthday vacation last week in Tulum. I requested the Deep Tissue massage which was 60 minutes. Can I just say WOW. That's the only way I can sum up this experience. The staff, facility, massage, masseuse.....everything was just absolutely amazing. I would recommended this spa to any and everyone

Tom C.

Yelp
A small group of us participated in a Temascal ceremony that Yaan. It was our first time. Honestly, it was probably the best thing we did on our vacation in Tulum. The spa was top notch, and the women that led us in the ceremony were kind, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. What a powerful experience!
google avatar

Arthur B.

Yelp
Yaan wellness spa is a true oasis. We were staying at Be Tulum across the street and had complimentary "healing waters" treatment with our stay. A truly great experience. Sauna, cold shock, massage pools, and relaxation pool with tea, then repeat. The woman who assisted with our treatments had really good energy and helped us fully relax. The prices for the treatments seem pretty high, but the space is amazing and if you want a great spa this is the place to go in Tulum.
