This boutique hotel is situated directly at the waterfront of the Lake Constance within walking distance to the town centre. I believe it was renovated in 2020. ||Our room was rather quirky with the shower directly in the room and a small balcony with a great view of the lake, the tower, the bay, the lighthouse and the statue of a lion. It was big enough for two people and had sufficient storage space. ||The breakfast was really varied but maybe a little drawback - we tend to come to breakfast later, so some things were missing and not replenished.|We also had a dinner in the same restaurant where the breakfast was served, which was quite a nice experience. The portions were big, by the way. ||The spa is out of this world, also offering a rooftop pool and a large sauna. We also booked a 90-minute package for two with a jacuzzi, a bottle of prosecco and a fruit platter. ||The service was impeccable and everybody was really helpful - the hotel does not have a room service but when we asked for a pizza and a bottle of wine to be delivered to the room, it was not an issue at all.||All in all, it was really a pleasant two-day stay.

Excellent experience, very helpful staff - Ice helped us with several issues like parking, timing, provided good tips on how best to use the hotel's many amenities, and left late to make sure we are able to check in after arriving relatively late. Very thoughtful and helpful and made our stay much better. Good hotel, nice spa with a pool, infinity pool on the roof, sauna and steam room, all very nice. Free breakfast is pretty nice, with some outstanding items such as honeycomb. The area itself is very nice and the town is great to walk around in. Thank you, Ice!

I booked a room in this hotel because I was running the Sparkasse marathon and wanted to treat myself a little. It was convenient that the starting line was right outside the hotel and even more convenient that they offered spa/pool and wellness services. The hotel took such good care of me pre/post race. I’ve never felt so pampered. The staff were so polite and so helpful. You can tell that they really just wanted all of their guests to relax.

Excellent location with great views while dining. The front desk was extremely friendly even walked me to parking ramp. The diner was greatly prepared for my wife’s birthday! It was simply a lovely place.

What better pairing to a great Christmas market than a cozy dinner in a restaurant right next to it? The location was perfect—a welcoming retreat right beside the festive buzz of the market, offering a lovely blend of seasonal cheer and comfort. The food was exactly what we were looking for—comforting and true to the region’s flavors. The spaetzle was the perfect local specialty—deliciously cheesy and seasoned just right. The fish, sourced from the nearby lake, added a fresh, local touch. And the traditional Flammkuchen, with its crispy crust and flavorful toppings, was simple yet satisfying—a true taste of tradition. The ambiance complemented the food perfectly. Subtle Christmas decorations and a warm lighting concept created a cozy, festive atmosphere that made the whole experience feel special.

This was the first time we visited Lindau Insel and stayed at this hotel. We had booked a 3=night trip there after visiting the Bregenz opera on Lake Constance. We had booked one of the largest suites with the intention to do some wellness treatments in the hotel. While their spa facilities were open, we unfortunately were unable to book massages because they did not have any massage personnel and neither did the luxury hotel across that had advertised a spa. ||The Yachthotel Helvetia is a delightful place and we would stay there again for sure. Our suite was amazing. Spacious and super comfortable, an end unit with large windows and a spectacular view to Lake Constance (Bodensee). Very comfortable and large bed and nice seating arrangements. The decor is tasteful nautical style. The "living room" has a sleeper couch and the door can be closed separating it from the bedroom. Great for families, friends or 2 couples if they want to share a suite. The bathroom is huge and beautifully furnished and organized. There is plenty of space to stow away your toiletries and other items. It has a separate rather large room with the toilet and a bidet and a large window, covered with a curtain of course. The wall-to-wall shower is huge.||As to the spa areas, there are several and one of them, which is on the top floor, is a strictly nude sauna and relaxation area, meaning you have undress before getting in. ||The hotel restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and offers delicious dishes and good wines. ||The location is superb right in front of the lake and a 2-minute walk to the train station from where we traveled to Munich after our stay in Lindau. Shopping and other restaurants are in walking distance as is a museum. ||A beautiful hotel in a quaint town with lake views.

Slightly disappointing - whilst the rooms are lovely, they are slightly old fashioned and the aircon doesn’t work very well. We were disappointed to come to a spa hotel hoping to use the wellness facilities to find out the masseur is on holiday with no prior warning from the hotel. The breakfast is limited but nice. Don’t think this hotel was good value for money.
