The location is excellent — within walking distance to the moat, Mandalay Palace, and ideal for a morning walk. There are many restaurants nearby. However, due to an earthquake in Mandalay , we were placed on the 3rd/4th floor. The kettle handle was broken, and we were disturbed multiple times during the night by mosquitoes. The rooms are spacious but the bathroom was not clean. The hotel has great potential, but housekeeping needs serious improvement. The elevator was not allowed for safety purposes- so we had to climb to the 3rd n 4th floors, and the stairwell was dirty. Parking is available, but only outside the compound. At 80,000–85,000 MMK per night, the price is reasonable, and the hotel seems to be quite full.

Stayed at 3rd floor during Mandalay Thingyan Holiday. Room is spacious, clean, well equip. Bed and linens are clean and comfortable. Bathroom is clean and equip with bathtub. Bathroom amenities is decent.Every room in front side with balcony and nice place to see surrounding. Pool on the rooftop is a bit small and very hot.Breakfast is decent but Asian foods always have to wait for replenish. Staffs are friendly and attentive especially the security team members they even wash our car. The only downside is Air-con !!! Yes Air con !!! Not enough cooling power and M&E team did servicing of the air con but no improvement at all. Tried to change room but fully booked and no other room left.

This hotel has been my fav hide out place since 2016 but now the standard has dropped so low that I am really disappointed. I used to stay every weekend and even the hotel staffs recognize me. But now my fav hotel becomes the worst. The furnitures are not cleaned properly, the bath tub is leaking that I couldn’t even use it the water I filled are all drained. The shower pipe is also leaking cannot even shower in peace. And Some of the lights are out which make me feel spooky. And the worst is the mosquitos. I couldn’t get any sleep at all last night. When I complained to the reception, they didn’t even bother to give their apology. Anyways Thank you very much for ruining my getaway I wasted my time and money.

Wait up at 6.30 am and go to rooftop pool side to enjoy December morning view of Mandalay. The moat and old place, Mandalay hill, tree, mist (or else) splash with early sunrise is heaven. It cool December morning. The pool are nice ( very cold for morning dip)even it only 4 ft deep. It local pictures point from this pool. The hotel itself seem a bit dated, cleaning can be improve, nice toiletries should be provide. Reception staffs are OK. Breakfast staffs seem overwhelmed with guests and services can be improved a lots. At least smile. Food was below Mandalay hotel standards with that price range. Will I stay again? I would love to enjoy morning view again. Would not be my first choice overall.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be perfectly nice. Room was of a very decent size with a decent bathroom and a nice view from the window. The rooftop pool was good for a refreshing swim. Breakfast was adequate. Location handy for restaurants and a short tuc tuc trip to the hill.

Great place to start our trip in Myanmar, central location which gave easy access to local restaurants. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful, we stayed in a lovely villa that led up to the hotel and it was quiet despite it’s location. Breakfast was good too which set us up for the day. Rooms clean and the drinks were not over expensive in the hotel. Only downside, they stop serving drinks at 10 so you have to resort to mini bar which isn’t overly priced and whilst we are not heavy drinkers, it’s nice to have a night cap especially when you are 6 1/2hours difference.

It is located in quite nearby to Mandalay Palace, but you need to walk quite a distance if you were to enter via the main entrance gate of the palace. The hotel is relatively good, room is clean, wifi is okay in the room, but I do not like the washroom, as the shower place is an open place in the bathroom, hence it will wet the whole room when you take your shower, not unless you shower in the bath-tub. Breakfast is okay, except. they do not serve that enough fruits. During my stay, only banana and papaya were served, and both were to ripe. The mohinga served was quite good. They have a pool with a nice view if you have the time to enjoy. Front desk service is quite good. If you were to come from the airport, you may take airport shuttle van, and they bring you directly to the front entrance of the hotel.

From the outside the first think is “wow very nice”.. the problem is when you walk in... |staff do not speak fluent English, the building inside has old furnitures and not very clean standard. |Our room in particular (1st floor) was full of mosquitos and we had problem with the shower (If our friends next door were having a shower at the same time we couldn’t get any water)... |breakfast is ok, just very crowded. |A part from that the hotel is located in a nice position and within walking distance you can find restaurants where to eat. |For the same money you can definitely find something better
