We picked this hotel for a one night stay due to its location - so close to Tokyo Station. I cannot recommend it.
First off, our room was rather run down and dirty around the edges - but ok, it was just one night right? But then, there are the cockroaches. As we unpacked, a roach ran out from under the furniture, trying to hide under our suitcases. See attached picture of aforementioned roach, now deceased via slipper lol. Upon further investigation, there was a lot of trash and empty bottles left under the bed, so clearly cleanliness is an issue here. When we informed the front desk, they said (while grabbing a ready can of Raid) that yes, they have cockroaches quite a bit. Ok then. We moved rooms and it was slightly cleaner than the first.
I understand this is not a luxury hotel and that some buildings struggle with pests. However, the prices and representations for this hotel are certainly at a point where I would expect cleaner rooms, fewer cockroaches, and less nonchalant reactions to said cockroaches.
