Yakiniku Like

This is currently my favourite place to eat in central London. As long as you're not trying to get a table during Saturday dinner service (I tried once, the queue was an hour wait), you should find that you'll be quickly seated. You need to order via QR code which is very convenient if you're bill splitting as everyone can just order their food individually. I always go for the sets. You get rice, cabbage, salad, miso soup and your choice of ready to grill meat. My food has come out in less than five minutes every time I've visited. I've never had a disappointing meal here. I leave the place full and happy. If I don't then I have no one to blame as the meat is cooked to my liking and sauce is applied at the amount I choose (you do those parts yourself!).

I got the galbi set for 12ish £ which I think is really good value! I got the smallest size (100g) and I thought the portion was perfect. The service was not the best but I didn’t mind because I was there for good affordable food and not the hospitality haha! It’s good to keep in mind the tables have a 50 minute limit and they will kick u out. We went on a Saturday night which I would assume is representative of peak hours and despite the longish line the wait was not horrible maybe 20 minutes.

We stumbled across this narrow restaurant and decided to give it a go as they advertised a set menu outside, which was for dinner, even though it was lunch time. Therefore I checked with the server to see if they also had a lunch menu, which he responded yes. For £9.99 I had a bowl of white rice, some meats, cabbage salad, regular salad and miso soup. The meats were marinated very well and were very tasty, I didn't use the dips because of this. Some bits of my chicken were so small that they literally fell into the gaps of the BBQ rack. Overall, it is not bad value and I would visit again but not choose any meat chunks, rather long strips instead where they will not disappear. There is also a downstairs seating area.

Delicious bbq & great value especially their sets! You can grill your meat yourself which is fun! But they have a time limit eating here. Will be coming back

Reasonable price and very good quality of food. We didn’t have to wait as they had tables available in the afternoon. Beef was nice! I really love the sauce. It’s just so good!!

friendly staff, we were seen to immediately and given a table after 2 minutes. this place does not take reservations, it is a first come first serve basis. outside, there is a menu of the sets the restaurant offers - however, they also offer sides like meat, soup and salad as well as drinks. the staff replace your grill every now and then, and are very attentive. there is a time limit of 50 minutes to eat as much as you want and food is ordered online via a qr code to scan on the table and paid by card, it’s system is easy to navigate. the grills are quite close together so it may be likely that you are seated with other people if the party is less than 3 or 2. each person is given their own tongs to grill. the set menu provides a range of meats, lowest being £13.95 (pork belly and chicken) which comes with rice, soup, and salad. the food itself i found a bit on the bland side, however there are condiments on the table you can use. overall, great prices and great service :P

When I came to Yakiniku Like, my friend and I ordered a set each which came out really quickly . I enjoyed the flavours of the meat but some cuts were a bit chewy. Service was overall good, they changed the grill multiple times and were on top of it.

Love it but sadly didn’t scratch that Japan itch, beef and pork not as good as the Japanese chain, also wish they had the same sauces and kimchi with the meal sets. Overall good value for London.
