Yakiniku Yazawa Kyoto

Did the omakase, it was fabulous! Also had the curry and matcha tiramisu. Would rec the matcha tiramisu! Honestly, the curry can be skipped. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, flavourful, and grilled tableside by a dedicated staff member. The atmosphere is pleasant and booth style. This is a Tablelog100 restaurant and was ranked #4 in Kyoto Yakiniku. It is pricy, but worth it given the ambiance and quality of the meat.

Quite overpriced, compared with quantity+quality aspect. I order omakase course 18,000 which is already pricey, but at this price you didn’t get chateaubriand! You need to pay more 10,000 which i forgot to order the add on (since i focused on ordering the extra yukke—which tasted good and refreshing). So i get to try filet mignon in the course which texture was disappointing. The good part is most of the food were seansoned well offering a more complex taste than regular yakiniku (wagyu sushi, yazawa surloin sukiyaki(i love it the most), seasoning that come with the steak). Special cut outside skirt was good. The 3 kinds of special wagyu was nothing more special than other good yakiniku shops. Pumpkin soup tasted good. Wagyu garlic butter rice was cooked perfect. Dessert was good. Last but not least, i feel the course was served in a but rushed manner? (The restaurant was kind enough to find the spot welcome me without waiting long, even though i didn’t made a reservation ;) )

Definitely the best meal of my trip, we had the omakase set with additional highlight of the wagyu tartare, incredibly good. Personally think it's worth the price for the quality and portion of the meat. Service is also excelent, but like many Japanese restaurants, the space is tight, can feel a bit cramped with pretty loud ambience when it's full

Best Yakiniku meal I've ever had in my life. Even the usual "tougher" cuts were super tender. Took some photos of the first few courses, but the food was so good we forgot to keep taking pictures. After every course, they replaced the grill plate so you don't get any burned taste. For the same quality of beef, it would've cost us 3 times the price easily, and we'd have to tip on top of that back home. I highly recommend this place!

A very good place to experience medium/ high class Yakiniku in Kyoto. Booking is available online. The tasting menu is a good try yet due to food allergy we opted for the a la carte menu instead. Every dish we chose was excellent. The sukiyaki beef style is personal favourite. The beef tartar was also very well seasoned and flavourful. The drawback being the staff not fluent in English and could not explain the cooking concept behind. A must try!

The quality here is exceptional, and the price point is more than justified for what you get. Coming from Canada, I’d easily pay triple the price, if I could even find this level of quality back home, which I can’t. The cuts of beef are exactly what they should be: perfectly selected, expertly prepared, and cooked tableside by the right person, ensuring every bite is tender and mouth-watering. The staff were attentive and professional, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the entire experience was memorable. Simply put, this is some of the best beef I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. If you’re looking for a truly elevated yakiniku experience, this place is near impossible to beat.

Found a last minute reservation for this place and it was such a great experience! We did the set meal for 18000 yen per person. We got a private room (not sure if it was because we reserved). It was a beautiful space! The waitress cooked our meat to perfect. Overall the meats were all very delicious!

The food is awesome!! Beef quality is top and the flavor and sauce are also top level. Appertizer and warm dish also taste really good. Great service and great vibe. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a Yakiniku place in Kyoto!! Looking forward to come back for my next visit to Kyoto.
