My friends and I were searching around for a yakitori spot that was opened late and while looking through Google, we stumbled upon this place. When we arrived, we were a bit confused at where the front entrance was, there seemed to be two ways to enter. One was through the side glass door and the other was to push the plastic cover near where the tables were to enter. We were told that we needed to wait a few minutes while the staff cleaned up a spot for us so they asked us to wait out in the rain for about 10 minutes.
Once the table was cleaned, we got sat down and handed a menu. I would highly recommend asking the staff for help with ordering because Google translate had a hard time translating the menu and the people working there were really kind. It took us a while to figure out but we realized that this yakitori place mainly specializes on chicken so we ended up ordering their fried chicken, chicken sashimi, maple fried chicken, lamb skewers, chicken breast skewers, chicken giblets skewers, and fried noodles with pork and a raw egg.
Overall thoughts on the food:
Fried chicken: Their fried chicken was absolutely delicious, the crispy skin balanced the flavorful and tender chicken, we honestly wished we ordered a lot more. 10/10
Maple fried chicken: I wouldn’t say the maple syrup addition made the chicken a lot better but the sweetness did go well with the savory fried chicken. 9.5/10
Chicken sashimi: So, honestly we ordered this by accident, Google translate only said it was sashimi, not that it was raw chicken. But honestly, I liked it, the texture kind of reminded me of yellowtail sashimi. And the flavor wasn’t anything special, it tasted like the lemon ewe placed on it. 7.2/10
Skewers: All the skewers were delicious, this was the main thing we went to this restaurant for and we had no idea where on the menu they were located until the staff showed us. Everything was made to order and once again, I wish we ordered more. 9.7/10
Fried noodles: The noodles weren’t anything special, it tasted good but wasn’t interesting. It was just fried noodles with some small pieces of pork, pickled ginger, and a raw egg. 5/10
Honey Lemon Sour: Very refreshing, the lemon was frozen in an ice cube and to flavor the drink, u had to mix and poke the lemon cube until it melts. Tasted like a lemonade without much sugar. 7.1/10
Final thoughts:
This restaurant had really good food but it’s more of a bar than a restaurant. I wasn’t the biggest fan of waiting out in the rain for so long but once we got to sit down, the main lady working there was kind to us and helped us order. Overall, just don’t be afraid to ask for help because it can make a difference in your experience.
