The hotel makes it a point to keep track of their guests by asking about their hiking plans and advising guests to give it a call if coming back late. They also offer advise on the status of the park based on which area the guests are heading. Rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable. We stayed in the wing facing the coast which offers magnificent views. The bath onsite is basic and only has a very shallow pool. A very basic senso. Location is very convenient and near the airport and there is a very simple grocery store directly across. What really makes it memorable for me was from the back, one can take a stroll down to the coast and walk along the rocky tidal pool during low tide.

2024.09.03 A solid 4 stars for this place. The service here was more welcome than at the samana hotel. The premises are clean, and the price is reasonable.

Clean and quiet facilities, staff is nice and helpful in spite of limited English. Public bath is on the small side, no fresh fruits for breakfast, no clear explanations for dinner how-to.

We spent three nights here and were mostly satisfied with the experience. They offer a good range of rooms and we selected an ocean view. The view was great but you can only open the window about 6cm. It would have been really nice to open the window wider as it was warm-ish and there was no a/c available at this time. The staff were really wonderful, though. They were always helpful, knew who we were, gave great information, were flexible and always always warm and welcoming. ||The television has one English language channel though the volume is limited which makes it difficult to hear. The internet, at least on our floor, was really slow and even loading Facebook required waiting. The room was a nice size but the towels were small, bright yellow and cheap. The onsen was shallow - suggest you try the place next door with the hot rocks. There are several restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the ferry terminal (we took a taxi). ||I don’t know what other options are available. The Green Hotel seems about the best you could expect here. We weren’t unhappy but there was nothing, other than the staff, to rave about.

We stayed 3 nights in a Japanese tatami style room. The futons were very comfy. View of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and had a different selection of local seafood and meat for each meal. Everything was very tasty. Would definitely recommend. Place is definitely very old style Japanese with “Rules “, so be sure you’re rate comes with the meals if you want them or negotiate it when checking in otherwise you won’t be eating at the hotel as they haven’t prepared the meals in advance for you. Enjoy!!!

The hotel comes with big, clean and nicely decorated rooms (we had a japanese style room). We were lucky to have a pitoresque view on to a beautiful garden and the sea. The breakfast is rich and tasteful - both western and japanese (what I'd recommend!) and also dinner was delicious, again with a view on the sea. |The staff was very friendly, warm and welcoming. although their english was very basic, they helped us with every situation. |The hotel is convenient located near a bus stop and on the other side of the road there is a small convenient store too. If you go for hiking, the hotel provides bento for breakfast and lunch! |It was a pleasure to stay there - and we will come back again in summer 2015!

The Green Hotel is located near the sea out from the main town. It is a short walk through the lovely gardens and some back lanes down to the sea. The staff are lovely but particularly the waiter who gave very detailed explanations of the food in the kaiseki dinner, which was excellent. Breakfast was lovely overlooking the ocean but it was disappointing that single rooms did not seem to have a sea view but instead looked over the back of the hotel. The room was OK and quite a good size but could do with a bit of a freshen up. The bed was rock hard and so was the pillow and I am a person who likes a firm bed.

We stayed for 2 nights. Reception staff are wonderful ..traditional room was large and our sleeping mats were made up fresh each night. Room and bathroom were clean and basic amenities included..great view from the balcony which overlooks lovely gardens and the wster. note, if you are not keen on Japanese food, do not consider breakfast here. I am willing to try anything and i was slightly disappointed that obvious Australian tourists were not were not provided any basic understanding of the food that was prepared and set ready on the table. The public baths are clean and while not a 5 star establishment overall this is a comfortable hotel
