We stayed for a night with dinner and breakfast the next day. It was hard to fault. The food was fantastic, well thought out menu with something for everyone, made with mostly local ingredients all nicely presented. The location is quiet, there isn't a whole lot going on in Lower Bockhampton, but that's one of its selling points, it's a lovely retreat. There are some nice walks nearby, Hardy's cottage and puddletown woods, Dorchester town is within a walkable distance across the water meadows.
Recommended if you want some relaxation time.
