Yalo Hotel

We love this hotel. The service is excellent and the staff is always warm and welcoming. They offer a convenient parking garage for guests at €34 per day, which makes arriving and exploring the city very easy.||The restaurant and bar are impressively large, lively, and clearly a popular spot with both guests and locals. The rooms are on the smaller side, but thoughtfully designed with all the conveniences you need. Everything is very clean and well maintained, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.||Highly recommend Yalo Hotel!

I stayed here for 2 nights in November. From the moment I walked through the door, the hospitality was evident- very friendly and helpful. Check in process was quick and easy. The room is the standard European size. The bed was very comfortable and the room was equipped with coffee, hot water kettle and a cool retro record player and records! (Unfortunately I didn’t get to try it). The hotel is modern and comfortable and within walking distance to bakeries, coffee shop and historical sites. I ate at the restaurant both nights and really enjoyed the food. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Ghent.

A very beautiful hotel in the middle of Ghent. Nice room, clean and with enough space. The shower was great very spacious and with plenty of hot water. Service was fast and kind. Breakfast was really nice. I enjoyed my stay. I have to come back but on holidays.

I visited Yalo Hotel for breakfast with my husband and our 18 month old after a recommendation from our Airbnb host. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food offering in the buffet was amazing. We had a long slow breakfast and tried lots that the buffet had to offer - my personal favourite was the shakshuka, the praline croissants, but just the bread and butter was delicious too! We came on a Friday morning and it was busy but they managed to squeeze us in. It was so good that we returned the next day (with a reservation this time!). The service was wonderful, relaxed yet attentive, and we were looked after particularly well on both days by a wonderful server named Gina. We will certainly be back - thank you so much!

You never know what to expect with a hotel, but in this case, our stay at Yalo Hotel was really good! If you claim to be boutique, you have to live up to it — and Yalo absolutely does. The room was tastefully furnished with designer furniture and lighting. Everything you need is there. The room was a good size; we had a room without a “view,” but the view over Brabantdam was actually lovely. The room was very quiet, super clean, and comfortable. The vibe and looks of the lobby are stunning. Exactly to my taste. We’d definitely stay here again when visiting Ghent.

The warm welcome during the check-in couldn't be better!! There was an issue in our room with the heating which was solved by the check-in people in a very adequate, friendly, efficient way. Congrats for the Yalo staff!!!!!! Jan & Marcia

This was a treat for our last day of our holidays and was a great place to stay. Thank you for looking after us. Perfectly located and really luxurious. We had a drink in the downstairs bar which was beautiful and the roof terrace would have been excellent had it not been so busy. The room was a great size and had all we needed for a mum and two teenage children. We loved walking round Ghent - what a beautiful city! I would suggest making it clearer that there was glass surrounding the bathroom in the 'Suite for the Tribe' - a little embarrassing for teenagers with their mum. Although the water was free, there was no bottle opener to open the bottles and although we asked for one at reception, there wasn't one available. The Television was VERY quiet and we could barely hear our movie - the cables were also exposed coming out of the floor.

Booked this room because it had balcony and location. But rooms are very small, including bathroom. Sink is in the bedroom, not in the bathroom, so very uncomfortable. Beds were confortable, staff is nice. This 4 star boutique hotel doesn't offer bathrobes. Wouldn't stay again.
