Typical bad rural airport Very limited shops and only 1 restaurant which does not open from 1st flight hours.

Small but Practical Airport, I arrived from Hokkaido and conveniently stayed one block away from Sakurambo-higashine Station. The down side to this airport is the lack of connection to the nearest train station which is Jimmachi Station, so taxi is required to leave the airport (unless you reserve bus shuttle), taxi ride is short thou, so no mayor cost impact to your wallet :) Airport services were decent.

The Soba noodle shop closes at 2pm even though there are flights mid day. Why? If you need noodles better get them before 2pm.
